Super thankful that we took the Bernina Express Train Tour with Luca from Italy. Their excellent organization, extremely easy communication with Luca through WhatsApp and especially the incredibly professional and friendly guide Giulia plus the sunny warm weather all contributed to a most spectacular train tour. We were met by Flavia at Bar Centrale inside the Milano Centrale train station at 8 am sharp. Luca sent us a picture of Bar Centrale through WhatsApp, which was very helpful to locate the meeting point. Flavia helped us board the 8:20 am local train to Varenna and met our tour guide of the day Giulia at Lecco enroute. Giulia was super friendly and provided us with fantastic details of the surroundings and some history of the area. We were met by our driver at Varenna train station, had a short walk along the lakefront of Lake Como to our breakfast place near the Church of St. Giorgio. We then visited the cellar of the Ciapponi family in Morbegno and tasted different kinds of cheese there. Lunch was at the station square near the Tirano Train Station where the Bernina Express departed at 1:40 pm. The Bernina Express was amazingly spectacular. Sceneries kept changing as we elevated. After about 15 minutes from the start of the journey, we reached the famous Brusio spiral viaduct. Giulia pointed out numerous scenic points along the train ride for 1 hour 50 minutes before reaching the Bernina Diavolezza Station where our driver was waiting to take us to St. Moritz in Switzerland by car, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful Swiss Alps through the extremely winding Bernina Pass. One unfortunate event was that a family in our group missed the Bernina Express, so Giulia had to make numerous phone calls and exchange messages to help them get on a later train to meet us at St. Moritz. Again, Giulia displayed awesome capability, efficiency and professionalism with incredible competency to the travel profession. We took the 7:15 pm train from Colico and arrived at Milano Centrale at 8:40 pm. That marked the perfect end of an awesome train tour that we would highly recommend to other visitors.

Wonderful day! The Alps were amazing. I didn’t realize when I booked this trip that we crossed into Switzerland. It was a great surprise. Lake Como is beautiful. The train is comfortable and provides great views. Thanks Luca!

The person who suppose to meet you at the train station show up late, and not on schedule, meeting location was changed the day before. Stopped at wine shop and restaurant which is not on the list of the location, rushing the entire trip, do not have enough time to spend after we get off the train in the train station to take pictures, and waste half hour in the wine store, and half hour in the bakery. It would be better if you just give more time in other locations to slow down and take pictures and look around and a real location store to buy some local products. Totally not organized. On the train, there are other empty seat which he organized us sit in a one full of people. This tour cost more and suppose to have more stop and spot to see. I don’t consider my money is well spent. Do not recommend. The wine store, if you want to taste you have to buy a cup and is around 7-9 euro, buying an entire bottle is cheaper. Totally rip off. No free tasting, how could you buy something before you try, and if you try you have to pay for trying it. It would be better to join another tour cost less and less stop. Just go to the major spot. Most of the spot is a waste.

Luka is a very nice tour guide and personable. He made a point of getting to know everyone’s name and something about them.

My husband and I had the best time on this tour! If you are thinking about booking, don’t think just do! This was easily one of the coolest experiences I’ve had and our tour guide Sylvia was so nice and knowledgeable. How often can you say you took a train through the Swiss alps? This tour also made us realize we’d love to make a trip out of a Lake Como stay. Book and you won’t regret it!

We had the best time on this trip. We often do tours and this has been by far the best one we have ever done - would 100% recommend booking this tour. The views are BREATHTAKING. We had a great time! Both the driver and tour guide were outstanding, not one complaint from us!

The train ride was something my sister had told me about while she was studying abroad in Europe. I am a person. That loves to experience new things and being from Colorado i have always wanted to visit the Swiss alps to see how they compare to our beautiful Rocky Mountains, as our Southern mountains are always considered to be the Swiss alps of America. The trip did not disappoint. It was along day but well worth it and absolutely beautiful from start to finish. Our tour guide, Silvia who is from Leppo, Italy, the first stop to get into a tour bus on the journey to the train. She was fantastic and felt like a friend at the end of the trip. If you have any reservations of doing the trip, do it! My wife did not want to join me but ended up having a wonderful time throughout the day! Highly recommend!

This trip was amazing. We was originally booked for a later date but the weather forecast was awful so Luca went above and beyond to get us on an earlier trip as we were only there a few days. We’re so glad he did. It was so well organised, the guide was lovely and so passionate about what she did. She was so knowledgeable and made sure the whole group had a great time. The trip itself was amazing, the scenery you see is stunning. I think we saw every season throughout the trip. I’m glad we packed hat and gloves as it was pretty cold once we got to St Moritz. Just fantastic. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is in Milan you will not be disappointed. Thank you to Luca and his fantastic team.!

I highly recommend Luca and our guide, Alice! Even though the Bernina Express was closed due to a rock slide on the tracks, we had an amazing day and didn’t miss a thing! We drove through the pass and were able to stop in Lake Como and St. Moritz as well as a few other picturesque towns along the way, visiting a winery, a great little restaurant, and a waterfall . I’m so glad we chose to continue with the trip!

We had a great time with Alice! Wish we could have spent more time around lake como instead of the alps part of the trip. It is a long day but worth it!

This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip. We packed a lot into one day, but it was worth it. We loved how someone was there to meet our guide us every step of the way, including the private coach. Once we got into the Swiss Alps on the train, it was a completely breath taking experience. The weather was perfect in March so we got to put the windows down and take photos or videos through the mountains. A pro and con of visiting in March is that not all of the shops and restaurants are open in Lake Como but that made it way easier to walk around. Sounds like the summer would be way too crowded for our liking. So overall it was a perfect tour and money well spent! Our tour guide Ilaria was super nice too and answered all of our questions. We also loved the stop in an old general store to see and taste the cheese they’ve been making for hundreds of years. All of the lunch spots were wonderful too. We really enjoyed having hot chocolate with cream in Switzerland. Highly recommend this tour to others.

Our guide, Luca, was hands-down 5-stars! He would go the extra mile to make sure everything was smooth and enjoyable for us. He would even play old Italian songs reminiscing the times of our generation during longer drives. We were guided to our train from Milan. Lake Como was absolutely beautiful and romantic. Our Bernina train ride to St Moritz was truly breath-taking. Luca even highlighted key spots and estimated timings on the train ride for us to obtain highlight scenic views. Overall, we appreciated the tour pace, it's great value and fostered friendship with Luca made this tour a true 5-star trip! Thank you, Luca, for giving us an excellent and most worthy experience.

It was a fantastic day out. Our guide, Sylvia, was enthusiastic, had great local knowledge and made our day very enjoyable. The scenery was awe-inspiring, both at Lake Como and from the Bernina train. It was a well-organised tour and I would recommend it to everyone.

An excellent tour, highly recommended. Joined this tour with 5 friends and we all enjoyed it. We were greeted by Chelsea at the Central Station, a nice and joyful girl. She boarded the train with our group of 13 in total. She ensured we knew which station to get off before leaving us. We were then greeted by Giulia at the Lecco station and boarded on a modern and comfortable minibus. The highlight of the tour definitely was the Bernina train ride. Because of the low season, we were lucky enough to have the whole carriage by our group. Giulia told us beforehand when the best photo scenes coming up, so we were busy opening windows, jumping from one side to the other; that was part of the fun. After the train ride, we were picked up by the minibus. I have to highly praised the driver (sorry forgotten his name) who drove us safely from the mountain on that sharp bendy road down to St Moritz. Giulia is a cheerful and sincere girl and answered all our questions during the tour. Our train back from Lecco to Milan was cancelled, Giulia waited with us and make sure we got on to the right train. We had a fantastic and very memorable day and once again thank you Luca, Chelsea, Giulia and the driver. Definitely money well spent, for a little bit extra - we had a small group with excellent service, everything taken care of the minute from the meeting point and avoided the 3+ hours coach journey with a big group.

Beautiful tour that will take you a whole day but will leave you speechless. Luca and the other staff guides are competent, friendly and will know how to arouse your interest, by letting you live a unique experience! I made this tour about a month ago, when the Alps were covered in snow. The first stop of the tour took place in Varenna with a quick walk along the lake listening to anecdotes and the history of the place. Once in Valtellina, we stopped in a very nice cellar to taste the ‘Sforzato’ wine and other typical Valtellinese wines. Then we stopped in Tirano for the lunch on our own. Here in Tirano started the Bernina Express train experience. It was magic !!! This panoramic train crosses the Alps and rolls over the 65-metre-high Landwasser Viaduct, the signature structure of the Rhaetian Railway and the UNESCO World Heritage site. The train arrives in St. Moritz where Luca lives you free time at leisure to explore further and have a snack with typical swiss specialties, especially the famous chocolate. Finally we drove back to Milan by way of another beautiful Swiss valley (the Maloja Pass). Everything was great !!!
