We have seen parts of Berlin we have never seen before. The British tour guide Reece was funny and amusing, while he was very knowledgeable about the city. Excellent tour.

We learned so much about Berlin as a city and these neighborhoods throughout the tour, and not just the sanitized and governmental view of what was happening here after the war. I loved learning about the individuals who have fought oppression and set a legacy for resistance in the neighborhoods in many different ways.

What a great tour! We spent the day before seeing all of the historical sights, so this was a great way to see the city through a different perspective. Ben was AWESOME!! Great personality, engaging, good sense of humor, and very informative. Highly recommend!

Very enjoyable experience. I have been living in Berlin just under 10 years and took this tour to look at the city from a different angle and I have to say it was a delightful walk with very nice stories about places and culture. Can only recommend it to others.

What was a blustery, scattered showers day amounted to a comfortable, chat-filled excursion with tourists, Berliners and our tour guide, Arnie. I was somewhat skeptical at first, as Arnie was seemingly a bit shy at the start - introductions, where we're from, etc. - but I soon became impressed with his story-telling ability and sense of history and historical perspective. Arnie touched on - in my mind - all the most prescient topics: Berlin first mentioned in the annals, strife at the end of Weimar, of course WWII, but even more interesting: how the Communist stronghold of Berlin held out against the Nazi and how, later in the century, essentially squatted in the newly empty apartments after the fall of the Wall. Fascinating stuff, and we were more than entertained. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour for visitors and natives of Berlin.

A great walking tour that we had to leave early (another booking). A fab English guide (can’t recall his name now - DJ/historian/cool dude) who was very knowledgable and friendly. Will finish this tour on another occasion. Defiantly recommend. Get you daily travel ticket in advance.

I think the description in Viator is a bit out of date, but it was a fantastic walking tour of Berlin neighborhoods combined with a passionate discussion of many of its former residents, particularly its artists, and their association with Berlin history.

Learning about the history of Berlin and the relationship between Art, the punk rock scene and social change in Berlin. Being in places where history was being made provided authenticity to the unfolding story of Berlin from its early days to the present.

Went on the free walking tour today with Cole our tour guide. He made it realky fun and we learned lots of interesting facts about Berlin, its artists and the places we visited. Its was great to get off the beaten track, I would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed this immensely. Jake’s knowledge and ability to evoke the past roots of Berlin’s art, politics and culture was very engaging. Highly recommended. A couple of pit stops to specific graffiti art would be nice to work in.

Our guide Jake was an ex-pat version of Ben Elton in patter, mannerisms and manic energy, full of a multiplicity of stories and anecdotes about his beloved adopted city. The four hours we spent strolling around parts of the anarchic former East Berlin flew past and gave us an appetite to return to see more — which we duly did the next day. Well worth it! Thanks!
