A highly recommended tour! Alex had a lot of interesting stories to tell and was passionate and friendly. The tour gave a great insight to local hidden gems with excellent choices of tasty food. I enjoyed the great company and the tour shows Berlin off the beaten track.

Such a wonderful experience on my first day in Berlin! The food was outstanding, each stop was so carefully thought out, from traditional to a new twist on old favorites. Every aspect was perfect, the area we explored, the explanation of Berlins history and the charming tour guide, Alex. I would gladly encourage anyone to take this tour. The beer tour will be my next stop!

Alex hosted us on the food walking tour. We only have 2 days in Berlin and it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon exploring, learning, eating and drinking. The tour was structured really well and Alex was super knowledgeable. There was also plenty of food and we would highly recommend.

This was my first ever food tour and I couldn't have chosen a better one. It was such a great afternoon in the Prenzlauer Berg area of Berlin with Alex from Walk With Us Tours. I have been in Berlin quite a few times before, but I have never come across the interesting and hidden food stops that we went to on this tour. The gourmet food tour started out with the old, traditional food of Berlin in a local authentic restaurant with so much history. The following stops became a journey in food styles, right up to the modern day - all of it local, fresh and extremely tasty. The local wine and beers we had were very good too. The tour was also full of excellent storytelling about culinary traditions and the history of Berlin from a personal family perspective. I recently took the Berlin Gourmet Food & Cultural Walking Tour and I had a great time! Our guide, Alex, wasn't just knowledgeable about the city, he was a passionate storyteller who brought Berlin's history and culture to life. The food selection was fantastic! It wasn't just about the taste (although everything was delicious!), but also about understanding the stories behind each dish and its connection to Berlin's culinary landscape. I would recommend this tour who wants to move beyond the hype and experience the real Berlin far from the overcrowded tourist traps.

This food tour is different from most. It is a history class of food. Old to new. It was few food stops but they were a higher quality. I really enjoyed the food and walk around the neighborhood. We were able to buy a number of food gifts to bring back home. Alex was a great guide. Very personable and friendly. Also very knowledgeable about the food scene, old and new.

The food was great and the history and stories that came with it were very interesting. Alex was awesome, knowledgeable and easy going. They were very kind about us being a few mins late. I would definitely recommend one any of their tours.

This was a wonderful tour, led by Alex, a smart, funny and experienced guide, who showed us and shared the best of the Prenzlauer Berg district. We would highly recommend Alex and his company, and we look forward to coming back to Berlin (for the beer tour)!

What a pleasant surprise this tour is…. I really didn’t know what to expect. I highly recommend it. It literally gives a history of food, from authentic original staple foods to the hip newer type of food. Plenty for all. Great pairings with drinks, beers and wines. To end with a cake that was melting in the mouth. I would do this again in a heartbeat. But we also got the history behind each food which just made you think a little more about the amazing city. What an excellent find on TripAdvisor!

Great overview of quality Berlin food. Started with traditional dishes from one of the oldest restaurants through modern vegan dishes and great desserts. And all served with beer & wine.

Alex was great, taking us to small friendly food places tasting some original Berlin food , while giving us great insights toast Berlin history and culture. Alex was very knowledgeable and helpful, also providing many tips via email after the tour to enjoy Berlin.

Definitely the highlight of our time in Berlin. Alex provided a blend of an eclectic food experience from top establishments along with a deep knowledge on the history of the neighborhoods of Berlin along the way. We were so impressed with this tour that not only do we highly recommend Walk with me Tours, but we would do it again when our travels include Berlin.

Alex took us on this wonderful gastronomy tour. His knowledge of the area and the food was fascinating to listen to. He even took careful consideration for a gluten free allergy in the group. We look forward to going on other tours with his company.

Alex was terrific! His selection of spots for food were great. We went back to the bakery 3 times to pick up breakfast treats! Very interesting overview of neighborhood and history. He pointed out the "Stumbling Stones", which we would never have noticed. Talk about historical interest!

Loved this food tour and we had a wonderful guide. We had 6 food tastings and 4 drink tastings. It wasn't your typical German food tour, there was a variety of old and new German dishes. All of it was tasty and yummy. We walked through the neighborhood and learned about the area's history. At the end of the tour, they sent us an email of recommended places to eat. We recommend this tour.

Did not meet expectations based on tour description. I was expecting at least 5 or 6 meals and at least several alcoholic drinks to sample but only sampled 2 and not what I would consider gourmet, & only 2 alcoholic drinks, 3 small samplings of cheese and 3 different slices of (what looked like salami). Also sampled small pastries. Definitely not what the tour description would imply. It was just my wife, son and I and the guide. Definitely figured he would do his best to impress the 3 of us. First he took us to, basically a pub bar with a bunch of what looked like bikers outside drinking. Definitely not a gourmet restaurant. Here we sampled our 2 meals and one beer. I consciously paced my self, not asking for more different beer, thinking we had more samplings to go. I even told my son to slow down. Then we went to sample 3 pieces of cheese & salami and wine. Not at a restaurant but what I refer to a place that sells basically different types of cheeses and wine. Anything but gourmet. Afterwards we went to sample some pastries with coffee. Again, it was a pastry store not gourmet restaurant. Lastly, we where again taken to sample, yes more pastries. Once again, not a gourmet restaurant but basically a different pastry store. He did provide some knowledge of the history but completely fell short of our expectations. Will request a refund if I could and will try to proceed with that. Please read the tour description and read what we were provided and decide if our expectations were way to high.
