This tour was exceptional. Gave us in-depth information on the historical and current political situation in Belfast. So much different than what the world news would have us believe. Not a religious battle at all but a battle for Irish independence. On the ground explanations of the various murals and the situations that had occurred in the different areas was much appreciated. Brendan, our driver, had lived through these eras and had much first hand knowledge of these situations. Even so, he was balanced in his views and talked about the process that had lead to this moment in time. Booking through the hotel was less expensive than online quotes.

We did a guided tour with Gerard who provided us with lots of historical as well as personal information to help us understand the past of the city. The fact that our guide grew up in the area is a real plus. Very instructive and merely unforgettable.

We got the Belfast black taxi tour with Brendan. He was absolutely outstanding at his job and a wealth of knowledge. He took us all around Belfast and gave detailed information on each area we travelled too. He also obliged us by taking photos as we travelled around, I would highly recommend these tours and I would also highly recommend Brendan as tour guide.

Brendan was a really fantastic tour guide. Full of information and facts, he had us entertained from the minute he met us. We had 2 x 14 year olds with us who were entirely engaged in the whole tour (a challenge in itself to entertain moody teens) and who really enjoyed it. The 2 hours flew by. Highly recommend.

A very educational and informative tour. We had two families of 3, late June, pick us all up at our Belfast hotel and give the tour. Tour guide was awesome. Friendly, funny, informative. Kind of lad you’d want to go have a beer with afterwards. Provided great history, some first hand experiences of the struggles, lots of pictures, and a few stops. I reconfirmed this tour countless times with this company and they have cancelled my clients tour at the last minute. I have worked in the travel industry for over 25 years and I've never dealt with people like this. I would avoid at all costs and find a people who can supply what they confirm and who don't try and blame shift when their failings of customer service are pointed out. Zero out of 10.

The tour was very informative, our guide Davy had first hand knowledge of the events. we were impressed with the presentation. we are not reading the book Say Nothing and we watched the movie Belfast, we have a deeper understanding of the history now. If we every go back to Ireland we will be taking this tour again.

Wow, wow, wow! As an American growing up in the 80s and 90s, I always heard about The Troubles of Northern Ireland (at least from one perspective). This tour opened my eyes to so much more of the political, societal and religious context of the tensions that persisted in the region for so long. Stevie G was an incredible guide - offering first-hand storytelling and personal life experiences. And he was patient with me every time I wanted to stop for one more photo. This tour was absolutely one of the highlights of my trip and I'd wholeheartedly recommend it.

Our guide Brendan was informative, engaging and completely unbiased with his explanation to ‘The Troubles’. You could clearly tell he had a close relationship with this period as along with stories of the political / religious issues of the times, Brendan would recall stories of growing up with friends in Belfast and tales of just surviving during these times. We never asked which side of the wall Brendan was from as to us, it was irrelevant. Brendan just gave an un-opinionated explanation which we found refreshing. A thoroughly worthwhile way to spend two hours in Belfast. And don’t be surprised if you see Brendan speaking to random people in the street, he appears to know everyone. Would highly recommend this tour.

This was absolutely the best use of time to get in so much about Belfast and The Troubles. For starters, Davy picked me up from my hotel and we had a very great chat and learned so much. It felt more like a pub conversation than a "tour." Davy answered all of my questions and showed no bias in his personal recollections. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
