Our beginner hang gliding lesson with Rich and Megan was awesome! They made the experience super fun and comfortable. Rich was a great instructor. I’d highly recommend trying to hang glide-it was a great experience!

It was an amazing experience. The instructors are friendly and they made everything so easy. Due to weather conditions they had to cancel for the day we had scheduled, but they gave us many options and were very attentive to reschedule us before we had to leave Outer Banks.

The flight instructors were very patient with the group of 5 we were a part of. Each person got 5 flights down the dune. There was good wind. You never felt scared because they went right beside you giving instructions the whole way down! What a great way to check this off the bucket list!

The boys had a great time with the instructors, they are so energetic and attentive .Also the view is amazing. Definitely will come back!

The instructors were informative, patient, and supportive in a humorous way. The view was incredible and it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I only got in one flight because I did pull a hamstring, so be sure to stay loose and warm. WORTH the one flight though!

My husband and I decided on hang gliding as a fun activity for our tenth anniversary trip. The staff was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. The instructions provided are simple and you always have an instructor with you. We felt very safe the whole time. Would definitely recommend!

This was a stellar experience. Go in the morning when it’s not quite as hot because you’re going to be doing ALOT of walking up dunes. But the guides were professional, kind, and funny. Stellar family experience (Our group ranged from 7-45)

What a day for our family! No one knew what to expect and everyone loved it! Super instructors were patient so helpful. Hats off to Michael, Josh, Cooper, Skyler. A must do if you like adventure. We had 13 people ages 5 to 61 and we all had a great time.

This was a fun activity for my son and I on his senior trip. Not something I ever planned on doing, but so glad we did. The instructors were patient and gave complete, direct instructions. Would definitely recommend!

This got canceled. .too windy and I'm headed back home. Bumner.. Maybe next year?they offered a voucher which is good for whenever you return I opted not to take the voucher because I don't know if I'll be back.. The one guy gave me a board to use on the dunes since it was my birthday. It was fun sliding down the hills but very windy and lots of sand in my hair and everywhere else.. I appreciate the fact that the guy didn't charge to use the board.

Best experience at OBX ,kids friendly , Branden the instructor was really patient and made the best of our time ,Larson it’s great at instructing and giving directions will definitely go back again

It was a completely fun and exciting experience, and our 10- and 12-year-old sons can ride safely too. Thanks to the instructors who came back up the sand dunes with heavy hang glides every time.

As we were visiting Jockey Ridge, we can across the Hang Gliding School. They didn't have any openings that day but we signed up for the following day. The weather was beautiful and the wind was perfect! Jude (the lead instructor) was FANTASTIC, accurate, informative and made us super comfortable/able to hang glide. Once we did a 30 minute course with his, he lead us to the sand dunes where we met our hang gliding guides for the rest of the time. Spencer.....I don't have enough words for him. He was so patient with us (including our 6 year old) and made it so fun. It took me a couple of tries to fully get the 'hang' of the glider. THANK YOU to the team and we can not wait to come back!

Best experience ever!! Instructors were very knowledgable about the whole hang gliding history & science but kept it simple enough to grasp. Really let us know how much they respected & loved the sport Absolute blast of actually flying was fantastic! Instructions were clear & instructors made sure we were each comfortable as we took flight. With a total of 5 flights for each person I felt the $ value of the experience was very worth it!! Recommend for any & all ge groups. If you can climb a sand dune,you can do this!!

This course was very instructional and practical, giving you what you need to know for your first hang gliding flight. I was apprehensive at first but our instructors Bill and Braden were very encouraging and supportive. They put us at ease so we got more comfortable with each flight. It’s fun for all ages. The place Jockey’s Ridge State Park is spectacular and absolutely a perfect place for hang gliding. The dunes are high and the sand is soft, perfect for landing. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed. It has become our favorite experience in the Outer Banks!

From start to finish this entire experience was exceptional. I brought a Girl Scout troop of 11 teens/teens from PA to do the beginning hang gliding lesson. They were accommodating, thorough, kind, and wonderful to work to with. The girls had a fantastic experience! Everything was safe, they learned a lot, and they had a blast. Highlight of our troop’s trip to the OBX!

We had an absolute blast at our beginner hang gliding lesson during our recent weekend getaway to the Outer Banks! Our instructor was Larsen, and he was so fun and gave us great feedback after our flights so we could get the best experience possible! Overall, I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone vacationing near Nags Head or Jockey’s Ridge State Park. Be prepared and bring water!
