The walking part of the tour was great and loved the cable car ride. The views of the city are awesome.

Be prepared to be disappointed if you expect to see the fort-castle inside. The ride in the funicular and cable cars are ok and the tour cuts the wait. You walk around the outside and see nice views of the city and the port but I side is a disappointment bc there are only a few rooms open and they are set up as a museum and not the former use or exhibits. The guide, Montserrat, continually lectured about the history of the regional disputes in Spain, Catalunya versus others and provided her very strong personal view point over and over. Several people on the tour commented that she had strong political views that did not belong on this type of tour. It's nice to learnso.e history but not to continually review the Spanish disputes from the 16th and 17th century in detail. Also, the dungeons or prisons were closed for some time and not expected to reopen so Viator needs to update its description. I have been to several forts in many countries and this was the most disappointing.

Stephanie guided us very well and it was a pleasure. Stephanie explained everything with deep knowledge and answered every question without any doubt.

Stephanie was extremely knowledgeable, and kind! She made the tour a great experience for the whole group, providing a lot of context on the history of Barcelona.

The tour was advertised as an exclusive tour of Montjuic and the dungeons with a maximum of 12 people. Exclusive did not mean skip the line, we waited on line with a few hundred people Our group had 14 people in it. It almost was 15, one person went with the other group to stay with her friend. It is listed as a castle when it is actually a fortress. We never saw the dungeons. We were told they are not accessible. Edward was a very good guide. He managed to get us all through the metro, the funicular and cable cars efficiently (except for all of the people) He obviously loves the city and shows that passion. He was personable and seemed knowledgeable.

The Old Town history was very informative and interesting. The castle has amazing views and history. Our guide Miguel was very good. There is a lot of walking involved, as well as the cable car, subway and train to get around for this tour.

Absolutely fantastic tour delivered by our lovely guide, Montse. She really gave us a deeper understanding of the culture of Barcelona, something that is really difficult to capture by simply walking around the city. Our tour was to Montjuic Castle, an absolutely must-see location. The views over the city are simply amazing. Coupled with Montse's guidance, it was truly a great experience. Bring water and a good pair of walking shoes. 👍🏻

Great tour, would recommend. Met in the old town, guide running a little late but he was absolutely brilliant. Need good walking shoes for this one. The knowledge of history from the old town and the castle was second to none. Had a good day so the cable car ride had great visual of the city too. The castle was so interesting and the cafe within was most welcome in the sun. If you have mobility issues you might struggle a little with the surfaces and part of the castle would be inaccessible for you.

Pepa was an excellent tour guide and teacher. I learned a lot about Barcelona’s history. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. This was an especially enjoyable tour.

Pepa was an awesome guide as we wandered through the Old City before going to Montjuic Castle. She provided lots of good information but also gave ample time to take pictures. Great way to spend the day in Barcelona!

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable but needed a mike since we were a larger group. Would highly recommend this tour but be prepared to walk about 5 miles. Saw lots of historical and fun sights!

We had a great time walking down La Ramblas to Old Town and Rambla Del Raval, and then taking the cable cars up to Montjuic Castle while learning so many historical facts. Stephanie had a wealth of knowledge to share with us and was very accommodating. We were a little sad that we can no longer see the dungeons, but otherwise, it was definitely a great tour!
