We had an amazing afternoon with Laura; she took us to a nice range of cantinas, and helped us understand the history and culture. Food was fun and amazing. She clearly has a passion for her work, which she shares happily. Brava Laura!!!

This was a wonderful tour! Luz was very kind and it was really nice getting to know her. I loved the places she took us. Only challenge is that it was REALLY hot and the tour happened right in the middle of the afternoon.

This was a great experience. Marisol was our guide and we enjoyed her company and knowledge of the city. The cantinas served snacks with our drinks, which were really small meals. I’d definitely recommend this activity.

Bar hopping tour was a lot of fun! Loved learning about the cantina culture and trying the snacks. Our guide Marisol was very sweet and made great recommendations. My bf and I are were the only ones on the tour - would have been fun with another couple.

Very authentic experience. They showed us local cantinas that I don't think we would have found on our own. Much more fun to drink with the locals! The bar snacks are very generous so don't eat lunch beforehand.

Cannot recommend this tour enough...such a great way to get a local feeling for this town. Lots of food and beer and a guide who was willing to share loads of information about living like a local. My friend and I went on the Cantinas Walking Tour with Jose. He was an EXCELLENT host, and we had the best time! We learned a lot about life in Merdia while enjoying four different cantinas. We could not have asked for a better guide or experience. FIVE OUT OF FIVE would definitely recommend for a laid back walking tour with beer and small plates!

My husband and I went on the Cantinas walking tour, with Jose as our guide. We had a blast! It was only the three of us, which meant we could have a relaxed and fun time learning about and enjoying the Cantinas and learning all about life in Mérida. José was great to have a chat with and enthusiastically answered all our many questions. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed this tour. Our Guide Assur was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The day starts with an interesting tour of the local market. Assur did a great job answering question and translating for local vendors. The later part of the day was spent at modern home not far from the market where we all helped prepare the meal.

This tour was very informative and also got to taste some good beer and snacks. Ruben and the photographer Pepe were great and we had a super time. I would recommend this tour to everyone as it is a good introduction to Merida in an informal and tasty fashion. The three cantinas that we went to were all different and it was fun to enjoy the differences.
