It was a very fun and informative time! Our host Rafael was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable - would 100% recommend!

In short, the perfect way to start our tour of not only Milano but Italy. Rafael was a great host welcoming us into his home and providing insights into the complicated simplicities of Italian cooking and life.

I am unbelievably grateful for this experience! Rafa was an incredible host with the most amazing milan loft! Upon entering the property you walk through a beautiful courtyard and make your way to Rafas home. He welcomes you with open arms and you feel at home immediately. I love that he sat down with us at the table during introductions and took the time to share his story and some history of italian food culture. His passion for improving food culture and ingredients was felt and we loved what he stands for! After chatting and sipping on wine and some bread with the best olive oil we have ever had in our lives, we got to cooking. Two pasta dishes and a tiramisu, we could not have asked for more. He had very high standards from cleanliness, to handwashing, and had everyone wear an apron. His apron was my favorite, very professional! Rafa provided impeccable hospitality and went above and beyond making recommendations for the trip, helping us find a taxi later in the evening, and keeping in touch with us throughout the next adventures on our trip. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this cooking class AND when in Milan again, I WILL join him again for a class. Grazie Rafa!

This class was FANTASTIC! We had an incredible time. Rafael was an absolute delight! He taught us about the history of Italian cuisine and production. We learned how to make pasta and tiramisu. He walked us through the do’s and don’t of each process. I took the class with my two sisters. We laughed and chatted the night away, the 3 hours flew by! Raf went above and beyond for our group. He gave us recommendations for the remainder of our stay, and called us a taxi when it was time to get back. I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to kick back with some friends, learn about Italian food culture, and create beautiful memories. If I find myself in Milan in the future, I will definitely do this again. AND THE APRONS! What a nice touch! So professional!

Once in a lifetime experience!! What an amazing class and person. Highly recommend attending this pasta making class. The chef was excellent, he explained everything in easy details and made sure everyone understood the content. The atmosphere was authentic and made you feel right at home and the pasta was absolutely delicious!

It was such entertaining evening for us. We made tiramisu desert and pasta with few different sauces. Everyone in a group (we were 6) had to do something, so it was not just looking, but also actually doing it. And in addition, we got interesting stories about pasta and Italian food in general and practical tips for making good pasta. And everything that with very charming person. Hopefully when we are next time in Milan, we can book evening with him again, definitely recommend.

Rafael was a great host, we were lucky and no one else signed up for the class. Rafael made the cooking fun while throwing in some history and technical information on the dishes we were making. We left at the end like we were leaving a friends house; he was very welcoming and a great host.

My and my girlfriend went on a short weekend trip to Milan, and so we thought to get the most of the ‘Italian’ experience and so thought a cooking class would be a good bet. Our chef, rafael was one of the most welcoming and friendliest people we have ever met, he could be friends with anyone from any background and walk of life. Rafael is very passionate about cooking, and the way he tells the stories and history about how Italian food came into popularity and how traditions have changed the recipes throughout time. There was 6 of us in the class, we all got along without a single awkward moment since Rafael, being such a great host, was able to keep everyone interested and engaged. The pasta and tiramisu was one of the best dishes I have had in a long while, even with a kitchen idiot like myself contributing. Overall it was a great experience and we enjoyed every second of it. One thing to consider is that the tripadvisor ‘duration’ says 3rd, however we were there for 5 hours, which luckily did not mess up any plans, but those who do have plans: be weary. But whatever your plans may be, they cannot be better than spending time at rafaels and learning Italian food.

Our family took advantage of this intimate experience with Rafael and was not disappointed. Rafael is an exceptional teacher and chef. I not only learned pasta making but about the slow food movement and their stamp of approval on particular foods. I spent 2 weeks in Italy and this was one of the best meals I had! Do not hesitate to take this class!!

We have attended many cooking classes in various countries. This was one of two we experienced offered in a private residence, and, by far was the better one. A very relaxing environment where, through shared convivial conversation, we learned, not only how to prepare three dishes, but a great deal about things like the history of balsamic vinegar and life in the restaurant industry, from which Raphael made a great decision to abandon. (BTW: He loved "The Bear".) He likes to limit the number of participants to 6 and this allows for a very personalized and low-key experience. Leaving the loft it seemed like we had just spent 3 hours with a close friend. And, he is a jazz lover! Bravo, Raffaele!

This was one of our favorite cooking classes we have ever taken. Rafael was so very nice and interesting and we loved being in his home to cook. He taught us to make our own pasta. It was so easy and so delicious! Then the tiramasu...simply perfect. The whole afternoon was incredible. This is a MUST for anyone visiting Milan!!!!!! Thanks Rafael...can't wait till next time.

This is a great way to spend a relaxing evening with good company, learn about the culture, and have a great meal. This experience is in Raphael’s small, cozy 2nd story apartment. There were 4 in our party, and we were joined by 2 others. We first chatted over wine and bread, and Raphael shared his story and experiences in the Italian cuisine business. We learned a lot about ingredient selection, cooking technique, and temperature. We then made tiramisu and pasta with tomato and Alfredo sauces. I learned enough that I can go home and recreate the meal, which was delicious! Plan on a leisurely 3-4 hours, and expect to be treated like family😊 Highly recommend!

The class with Rafael exceeded my expectations. I assumed it would be a standard instructional cooking class, but it was a much more robust experience. Rafael warmly welcomed us into his home and started the evening off by sharing with us a little bit of background about himself which offered a nice foundation and context for the rest of our time with him. Over the course of the three hours, he imparted a lot of valuable knowledge and history about olive oils, balsamic vinegars, other ingredients we used and the cooking/preparation processes. In addition to making the cooking fun and informative, he also took a great interest in learning about us which made the evening all the more special. Rafael is super knowledgeable and friendly. In summary, it was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend.

We had the best night! Rafael welcomed us very friendly and we felt like home from minute one. He told us with passion about his story and the italian kitchen, we made our own pasta, sauces and tiramisu. The food was the best ever and the wine was amazing!
