Great views of mountains and valleys with Berber village and morning tea and music and Aragon oil making demonstration. Guide gave information about aspects of cultural life for people living in the area through history.

Everything about this day was perfect! Would suggest to wear comfy walking shoes, that you don't mind getting messy, as well as dressing warm! The valley can become quite cold. Omar, our guide, is very friendly, with a warm personality, extremely knowledgeable, with a passion for describing the life of a Berber & Morocco, as a whole. His level of care for all guests was apparent with his helpfulness & attentiveness throughout the day. It's more than running a business, you could tell how important educating tourists to the Moroccan lifestyle is to Omar. We experienced everything described in the package. Started the day off with a lovely camel ride & Omar's photography skills are exceptional & beyond anything we could have asked for! After, we chatted under a camel-hair-made-tent, learning about the life of a Berber, how Islam became the prevalent religion, & interesting facts about Morocco! Then, we moved onto the next activity, learning about the infamous Aragon nut. We had a lovely Berber breakfast, which was so delicious! My favorite was the bread & peanut butter (Moroccan style, of course). Would have loved to have purchased a bottle, but they didn't sell any. However, they did sell a lot of aromatics derived from the Aragon nut, to help with any ailments you may have, or for any beauty experiences you wanted to have. Then onto the Atlas Mountains! Such a beautiful mountain. It was raining & even hailing a bit, as we arrived, so Omar got us each umbrellas so we could stay dry on the hike to his family's home. We were greeted with so much love by Omar's family, when we stopped in for a home-cooked meal. And being vegetarian, I was made a special meal & dessert, too. That dessert was the best thing I tasted! Orange slices with a dusting of cinnamon & sugar - so good! Being that the valleys were cold, due to the rain & hail, Omar's family provided us with jackets to stay warm. After lunch, we hiked some more to the first waterfall, that streamed from the top of the mountain down, providing a cascade-like affect. Really beautiful. At the top, we were able to see the three valleys & received history about the Berber people & their life in the mountains. And, the variety of fruit trees native to Morocco. As the group decided to forge ahead, we trekked to waterfall number two & what a sight! Absolutely gorgeous waters! Breathtaking. The hike there was really scaling down the side, climbing over rocks, & walking the path...all in rain, to get to the waterfall, but it is worth it! The rushing waters are so calming, I could stay there for hours. So happy Omar gave us the option to see this (since it was raining & all) & he chose the safest way to go. And, not forgetting to mention all the help he provided to me, holding my hand so I wouldn't fall & guiding me to safety until I could manage the walk on my own. I loved my Atlas Mountains excursion so much! Would definitely recommend Omar's company & if in Marrakech, I will sign up for this tour again!

Such an amazing way to spend the best part of a day, we were picked up at 9 am and dropped back at 6 pm. We were picked up by Rachid and went with a family of 4 and another couple. The other people on the trip were lovely and Rachid really brought us altogether. We started the day with a drive towards the mountains while Rachid talked us through the day, the stops we were going to make and the food we were going to eat. We first stopped at a viewpoint that overlooked a berber village, continued to a cooperative where we ate breakfast (mmmm!) and onto the second valley where we parked up to walk to his family home (with photo stops on the way). Rachids family make amazing food and they were very hospitable. We finished off the day by having a camel ride and trying on some traditional clothes. As we are walking it was helpful that we had additional water, sunglasses and an extra layer. Rachid is the life of the party, you can tell he loves his job.

It has been an unforgettable experience. The visit of the berever village to take pictures, the trekking through the snowed Atlas Mountains, the visit of the cascade, the delicious lunch and the Camel walk. Everything was perfect with Rachid, an excellent guide. Highly recommended. Many thanks Rachid.

Rashid (tour guide) offered our group a nice and interesting trip. We got to know a lot about the culture and the nature, we really enjoyed it and are happy that we chose this trip out of many there in marocco. Abdullah (driver) is a safe driver even though the traffic is chaotic in marrakech. He was really friendly and a funny guy who made our trip better and told us also a lot about the Berber culture, as well as Rashid. The guys are completely different to the people in Medina - friendly, not planning to scam the people and try to provide a nice experience. Wish you the best and thank you for the experience.

We were picked up on time from our hotel by patient driver Abdul who kindly helped us with our belongings and set off as planned. He organised a great day with a guided tour of Imlil with nice photo opportunities especially by a lovely waterfall including an authentic meal with a Berber family. We also had a great Camel ride and were then dropped off back safely to our hotel. The day also included breakfast! Abdul is a very honest and trustworthy driver.

Lovely Trip to the mountains and the "dessert". Our Tourguide was so nice. We enjoyed the day with him so much and were able to get a better insight into the life of the locals. Also there was a huge feast for Lunch with exeptional Food. I would do it again any day.

Please read this entire review. This was a GREAT experience but there are a few warnings. Our first stop was for some biscuits and tea and we sang with seasoned ladies who were making argon oil. It was a delightful time. There was an opportunity to but some spices there if you wish. This was the last time we saw a toilet for the rest of the day. We then went to a town an did a hike up the atlas mountains. We were not told we should seek out a bathroom before going up the hill which would have been useful. We had great weather so we thoroughly enjoyed the challenging hike. We stopped at a beautiful waterfall for a drink and pics and continued our journey. The hike up the mountain was about 90 minutes. Be prepared if you are not used to hiking as it could be a challenge. Our guide Rachid was excellent, he talked to us along the way about the Berber culture and the views of the valley were spectacular. We had lunch after a long journey up the mountain at his house. The food was amazing from the variety of salads to the tagines. You must be prepared that there is no commodes in the house, just a hole with places to put your shoes. If you took immodium and only had to do #1, you are good to go. Those with stomach aches or other intestinal issues, beware. It is not easy squatting over a 4-inch hole in the ground. The trek down the hill was easier. We got to the bus (no bathrooms at the bottom of the hill) and made our way on the bus to camel riding. We had so much fun dressing like camel riders, taking a caravan of camels journey, and drinking mint tea. This was one of the highlights of the day (although I wish there was a bathroom at some point). The 10 hour tour was amazing and I would highly recommend it. Just wear sneakers for the hike, bring your immodium, and don’t drink too many liquids)

Our guide, Rachid was so knowledgeable and kind, taking us to multiple activities and stops along our hike in the valley. He fed us dinner in his family home and even bought us cherries from the locals. Your vacation isn’t complete without a tour with Rachid!
