Besides having interesting food tastings, we liked walking through the local neighborhoods where regular tourists would not know to go.

Marita was amazing. Very knowledgeable and full of energy. We were a bit late, and she waited for us at the first stop. The whole tour flowed very well and every stop was the perfect amount of time.

What an amazing tour and a must try if you are a foodie or even just want to try local foods that you necessarily wouldn't find on your own. The weather for us started out wet, but soon brightened up which made the day even more enjoyable. The market was amazing and little family run restaurants were superb. Lots of food and drinks but not so much that you were over faced. Will defiantly do this tour again when we come back to Athens.

Eugenia was the perfect hostess today as she guided our group around Athens through cafes, shops and the food market. Never have I experienced such an informative and extensive food tour! I highly recommend this excursion. You will not be disappointed!

We had a great time on this food tour - our guide Rita was the best! Our small group of 8 was perfect (more than 10 would not be as enjoyable). Everyone was friendly and we visited a number of authentic local places for the perfect introduction to Greek cuisine. Make this one of the first things you do in Athens! Food tours like this help you get oriented, introduce you to a variety of foods so you know what you want more (or less) of, and connect with a knowledgeable local who can give you great recommendations on touring and eating around the city. What a great tour, our guide took effort to get to know everyone and make everyone included. The pace of eating food was well spaced. The tour included alot of walking but also time to sit and enjoy the delicious eats and company. I highly recommend!

Great experience. Nikki was a great guide talking us through our tasting and providing background to each place we ate. Really friendly and informative. It recommends not to eat beforehand and there is more than enough food so take note.

This was our first food tour ever, and it was an incredible experience! From now on, when we travel, we are ALWAYS going to book a food tour at the beginning of a trip because of this great experience! Our tour guide, Nino (pronounced "Nikki") was very enthusiastic about Greek food, and food in general, and she taught us a lot about Athens and how locals buy their food and live in the area. We started the tour with homemade pastry pies, Greek donuts (loukamades), went to a local deli for meats and enjoyed Greek "lunch" wine and a bit of tsipouro, then went to a local cheese market for cheese and Greek yogurt, then we strolled through the meat/fish market and ate at a very traditional restaurant located INSIDE the market. Afterwards we tried Greek olives, and then finished the tour off with Greek baklava and Greek coffee. It was a TON of food (we were SO full) and it was so fun! Since we visited during a slower time of year (March), we shared the tour experience with just one another couple, but Nino said she likes to keep her groups relatively small to maximize the personal experience. We had a great time with the other couple. We actually returned to the pie shop later in our trip because they were too good! And walking around the neighborhood was helpful for our exploration later on in the trip. All in all, HIGHLY recommend this tour!! (I will say we did have a difficult time meeting our tour guide, but it was resolved quickly!)

Eugenia was very kind and show us really nice places where we could taste many greek dishes and drinks. All the spots we visited where really interesting. Furthermore, Eugenia knows a lot about culture, history and gastronomy. We trully recommend the tour for foodies, you will discover many things that will surprise you a lot and you can't find it by your own.

Had such a great time sampling sweet to savory, snacks to a full lunch. We learned so much about Greek food, customs, culture and history surrounding the food.

This was such a great experience! Our tour guide, Eugenia, was fantastic. She took us on a winding city tour to all the authentic Greek restaurants and cafes. We started with Greek pies, visited a meat market (crazy stuff there!), tried all kinds of new cheeses and meats, and ended with dessert. 10/10 recommend!

This was an outstanding experience! We were 3 couples and had a private tour along the market streets of Athens. Guide was very flexible in our timing and allowing for a couple of extra stops to watch the changing of the guard before our tour started. Highlights were the stops at Harry's Pies and the walk through the meat market - but really enjoyed all of the food samplings! We ate sooooo much great food! Thank you for a wonderful experience - strongly recommend this tour.

I highly recommend this Athens small group walking food tour to try out some of Athen's most famous specialities. We had a such a wonderful time trying really wonderful food in places that you probably wouldn't go on your own, learning the history of Athens through its food. While I would recommend doing this on day one, we did it on our last day in the city and still would go again and again!

We loved the experience and our guide Niki. She was very knowledgeable, informative, friendly, and took us to places that we would have not found on our own. We can't imagine a better guide for this tour... with an education in food technology and nutrition no less! And she is a professional cook and teaches cooking classes. The variety of sweet treats, savory tastings, lunch at an eatery in the middle of the fresh meat market(!), wine, coffee, desserts, etc. was excellent! For any food left over at the seven stops, everyone was encouraged to take the extras with them and the owners were happy to wrap the extra food. Eat a very light breakfast, if at all. We did not go out for dinner that evening, as we had extras from the food tour and were not really hungry.
