Reasonably priced and regular showings of the film. We loved the little museum before the cinema - it went through the D-Day landings and liberation of Normandy in a chronological way - so very helpful for the beginning of our visit. The film itself was very clever - showed lots of images and made you feel part of it. I just wish there had been a bit more dialogue to go with it - more veterans speaking about there experiences would have made it even more meaningful.

This was one of the highlights of my trip. I added it last-minute, not knowing how incredible it would be. The park around it had one of my favorite monuments and the view of the remnants of the harbor were worth the visit all on its own. But the cinema itself is almost indescribable. I wanted to go back to watch the film over and over - I’ve done a lot of reading of the history and seen a lot of footage but this felt almost immersive. I would highly recommend to anyone going to the area.

Must be my 10th plus visit over the years. New film this year with very different & interesting ending. (No spoilers) Be aware if you are taking younger folks in there sre scenes that may upset. As well as very loud munition explosions.

As a United States Marine, this hollowed ground is on the bucket list of to do's if you can. The Sacrifice and Valor of all that are interred here is a testament and validation of the effort to make the world a safer, more inclusive , and totalitarian free world. This was the first thing we did on our tour of Normandy beaches and we really enjoyed it. It was a good introduction and I think did a nice job of not glorifying war. War is a last resort and nasty business for everyone, including the victors.

Really great intro to the d-day landings. Plenty of subtitles for most speakers. Could go many times and see different and more bits as the screens are all around showing different stories.

First of all I say possibly not for kids because of how much reading their is. I'm not against that myself but I feel kids may get bored and rush around. The museum at the entrance isn't well thought out as as soon as you enter the turnstiles you're at the start of a history wall with lots of writing about the timeline of how the second world war came about. The artifacts on display were brilliant and I really enjoyed looking around these. Lots of information for every single piece. There are short films in places and areas to have a sit down along with some interactive bits too. The bunker I found a bit disappointing personally but the gardens were very impressive. I really enjoyed the food. We went to the restaurant around by the cinema area and had the burgers. Some of the best food I've had at a visitor attraction

This has to be one of the best museums that I have been to that tells the military history of the area during WW2, there is a brief overview of WW1 With several cinemas along with a 360 degree visual experience is a must see for anyone interested in history. There is a good display of artifacts including a Mig jet in the lower area of the museum, there was a tank and rocket launcher but on the day I visited they we unable to be viewed. To the side of the building is a lift that takes you to the WW2 bunker giving you an explanation for its use. We were there for over 5 hours and I thought it was good value for money. They is a restaurant and extensive book shop selling books pertaining to the Second World War.

It was exactly what I expected, but nothing more than that. Actually, a lot of these historic images come back in about all the musea in this region... Still worthwile to see.

Big museum that covers the road to WW2, WW2, the Normandy landings, the Cold War, and Berlin during the Cold War. You can al sado visit the underground German bunker on which the museum is built. Too much to take in all in one visit. Also, lots of reading in small font size. On the other hand: good information, good overview of 20th century history. We had a combi-ticket with the 360cinema Arromanches and La Cite de la Mer for €124 pp in stead of €137, which is valid until December and allows you to enter the museum several times. And you can use the priority queue😉 My teenage boys as well as my husband and I (History teacher😉) enjoyed the museum!

If you want to only see one 'WW2' battle film; go to this one. Having been numerous times with school parties, it is a different view every time now I go. You can spend your time watching just a few screens, or rotate your head and watch all around. Some new sequences inserted since my last viewing - but still the story remains the same. Peace to all please.

An outstanding show giving a very sensory experience of the Battle of Normandy. Sculptures outside are an extremely moving depiction of the D-Day landings.

It was a blustery day but well worth the visit, the 360o screen had an incredible effect and the images were breathtaking. It was fantastic, and worth the 4E to park in the lot rather than up the hill on the side of the road

Although I was fortunate enough to have been born 10 years after those dark moments of history, the rest of the family and I were highly impacted by this tremendous cinematic experience. An absolute must for anyone even remotely interested in mid 20th century history and the changes the Battle of Normandy brought about to help end the war. The only downside is inadequate and expensive EUR 7 parking and Gendarmerie that appear to pick on especially foreigners trying to park off road whilst ignoring others - be warned!

No traffic control. Took taxi from Bayeux to Arromaches. Traffic backed up 2-3 miles from dirt parking lot. Took over an hour to get to cinema. Movie is only 20 min and not a methodically narrative. Film restoration amazing.

You're up close and personal with the horrors of war and the sounds make it pretty real too. Hang on to the leaning bar as you watch the continuous series of events that was D- Day and the start of the delivery of peace. There are some graphic pics of dead bodies so hold onto the kids. Good value and well put together. Take the free bus right outside the door, to Omaha beach and its remnants of war just lying there.

Wie al info en andere films gezien heeft over WO2 is dit geen meerwaarde. Het stadje is klein en alles gezien op halve dag.
