I did a 9-day trek in the lower Annapurna region with a group 12 people, led by Ram and Dan and a group of awesome porters. I could not have dreamed up a better experience. I felt so safe with Ram and Dan as our guides, knowing that they were going to make the best decisions for our route based on conditions and abilities of each of the group members. They are so kind and knowledgeable, and so generously welcomed us into Nepal and shared the sacred mountains with us. We had wonderful experiences together as a group, mixed with moments of peaceful solitude along the trail knowing that our guides were keeping track of everyone's whereabouts. My group trekked for 9-days in 2020, through Chommrong, Tadapani, Ghorepani, Tikkhedunga, etc. Ram Shahi helped me hike with confidence and humor throughout the Annapurna Trail trek. Ram is an incredible trekking guide; he’s smart and humble and so kind; he has an encyclopedic knowledge of the Himalayas (his English is excellent), and knows the trails as if they’re the lines on his own hands. Ram is full of illuminating facts regarding the mountains, flora and fauna, local villagers, and so much more. He always has your safety in mind. I am speaking truth when I say that I couldn’t have finished my trek without him. If you’re ever considering trekking Nepal, Ram is your man.

We had an incredible trip to Pokhara and Poon Hill. We only had 4 days of time but it all worked out perfectly. We flew to Pokhara from Kathmandu and were directly picked up from the airport by our awesome guide Mr Ram. Our trekking permits had already been organized so we could go directly to the starting point. We started hiking and went to Ulleri on the first day where we stayed in a nice teahouse our guide organized for us. On our way there, we learned a lot about the local plants, the villages and nepali culture. On the second day we went to Ghorepani where we stayed for one night and went up to Poon Hill early on the next day to see the sunrise. The view was absolutely spectacular. After that we had to walk all the way back which was quite exhausting but out guide was very supportive and we were really happy we did it. After one night in Pokhara we returned to Kathmandu. Everything went as planned and the time frame was also realistic. It was all perfectly organized and we didn’t have to worry about where to stay or about too high prices. We can definitely recommend!

In november my family and I did a trekking to the Everest base camp, it has been an amazing experience. Ram is a perfect guide, he organized everything and he is really effective finding a place to sleep and solving problems during the trekking!!!

We had the chance to join Ram during our 9-days trekking to Annapurna Base Camp in October 2014. We had really great time together with him and it was really pleasant to spend days with Ram ,walking hard but always in a comfortable way and respecting each other time, listening stories about Nepalese people and culture, learning the name of all beautiful Annapurna's range peaks. Ram is a very good guide, always present but never intrusive, very kind and effective in finding a place where to sleep well even in the most crowded period. Thus, we highly reccomend him, enjoy his competence, experience and company!

In August we did a marvellous 13 days trek in Upper Mustang: has been a wonderful experience and Ram organized and managed everything to the very best. Really recommended!

I went on a mission trip, and one of the treks was to Australia Camp. I got extremely sick. Without communication, Ram was able to get me to a hospital. He properly cared for me and made arrangements for a helicopter to come and get me (and my 10-year-old daughter) back to Kathmandu. He is simply a lifesaver, and should I ever go back, he will be the only one I would go trekking with.

Very happy to review my experience with Ram. We where a eterogeneous group and Ram was able to manage "fast trailers", "children" and not very fit persons. We did a fabulous 4 days of trekking.

I went in Nepal two years ago and Ram was my guide. It was a great journey and a Marvelous trek. Ram show me (and my friend) beauties of Nepal: he is a perfect guide. Time spent with him was rich of interesting stories and funny moments.

I appreciate Rams good humour and great knowledge and I appreciate his good judgement how to organized the whole trek. Four of us become really good friends. After the 6 days trek Ram invited us to his home for dinner. Which made this trekking even more epic. I really longing back to do another trekking again with Ram.

We made the Poon Hill Trek together with Ram, he was really professional, he gave us a lot of information on the culture and the religion. We had a medicaln emergency during the Trek and he was extremely quick to organize the transport to Pokhara. I can only recommend, he will be my choice for the next Trek in Nepal.

I met Resham the first day of my trekking trip with his client and we ended up trekking in a group of 6 people (3 guides, 3 solo travelers). Although he wasn’t my guide, I would like to write a review, because we spent so much time together and I’m really impressed of his work as a guide. He knows a lot about nature, religion, culture and he really has a great ability to share his knowledge if you are interested. I wouldn’t have met so many local people and had so many special moments if he wouldn’t have been in the group. He's a very professionell guide with a great personality. I would totally recommend Resham as a guide for a safe and unique trip with lots of special moments connected to nepalese culture.

Ram and his father lead our group through the Annapurna Sanctuary for 10 days in mid-winter. Except for our leaders, this was the first time for each of us. I quickly gained confidence in Ram's capabilities. He is knowledgeable, easy to communicate with and strong as an ox! We had different abilities in our group, and he juggled that, together with lots of personalities quite adeptly. I will be back to trek with Ram. Do not hesitate to put your trust in him!

After 2 days of trekking (it was 15 days in total) I was already calling Resham "the guide of the guides": He was always willing to help, not only me, but also other guides/groups. His experience had been demonstrated when you see other guides asking him for advise and he always had the smartest response. He made me feel safe all the time and knowing everything was under control. He was transmitting a lot of interesting information about nature, animals during the whole trek, as he is expertised in bird watching tours. He has very good english so it also helps with communication. He has a lot of contacts and can arrange everything for you in advance while trekking: taxi, hostel, restaurant... he even booked my flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu!! Super efficient. He's also very flexible and listening to custommer needs all the time. Addapting schedules and routes day by day according to my status and how I was feeling. Finally he has also a very important human part, such a nice person that invited me to his place for celebrating the achievement. Started as a guide, became a friend.

Had two exceptional treks with this company. One to Annapurna Base Camp, and the other doing the Manaslu Circuit Trek and Tsum Valley. Our tour guide was absolutely brilliant; funny, friendly, great English and very helpful. I recommend this company highly, and remember our experience together with much happiness.

We booked as a group of friends with Ram highly recommended to us. What a fantastic trip it was. Carefully thought out based on our mixed fitness and interests, catering for everything we all wanted. Ram has a fantastic local knowledge and made sure we were all informed of facts and points of interest along the way. The most important thing for us was the flexibility (as much as you can be flexible on these treks) Ram was able to offer, re-arranging our plans when the weather and therefore views were not as good as they could have been when we summited Poon Hill - allowing us to stay another night to get the views the next day!! The second most important thing was making sure we were all going at a pace we were comfortable with. At no point did we ever feel pressured to go faster, which made the whole experience much more enjoyable. So on a scale of 10, I have to score a perfect 10! A perfect holiday, with a very friendly, accommodating and knowledgable guide. Would definitely recommend... in fact I already have to a number of friends and colleagues who were very jealous of our regular social media updates along the way!!

I completed the Poon Hill trek in April with my husband and friends and it was the most amazing experience, made perfect by Ram, our guide. He is knowledgeable, flexible in need (rain storms came but Ram altered arrangements swiftly to allow us to stay an additional evening in Ghopani so we didn't miss the spectacular view the following morning) and thorough in his organisation. He is friendly, patient and gentle and is able to quietly look after his tour group without being invasive. Everything ran smoothly and he has a great sense of humour. Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience! Wholly recommend!

Recently did the Poonhill trek with Ram Shahi. Ram was an excellent trekking guide never making us rush and always there to answer our many, many questions and pointing out all the points of interest along the way. One day I will return and Ram will be my guide. Namaste.
