Great tour of the history of the Red Light District! We learned not only about its history, but also present day impacts on the community.

Our guide Adrian was a wealth of information during our tour. At every stop, there was lots of fascinating tidbits to help us understand the history and background of the Red Light District. I especially liked hearing about the historical connection between the Oude Kerk and the sailors who visited. At certain stops, Adrian even had prepared images to show us what we could not see in person and was patient with all the questions. I have a better understanding of how the red windows are really part of the neighbourhood, among the homes, restaurants and coffee shops.

Nina was a lovely tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about the practices, the laws, the processes and the women who worked the area. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Lea was an absolutely wonderful guide! She was very knowledgeable, friendly/approachable, and made our group feel comfortable about asking questions on this topic. She cultivated a professional and fun tour and was thorough at each site with her explanations and her questions made us think more deeply about what we saw. We definitely felt that we learned more from taking her tour than going to a museum to read about the red light district. She is a fantastic and informative storyteller. One thing I do need to mention is that we were running late for this tour and most tour guides would have (understandably) gone ahead without us. Lea proactively reached out to us by calling us on WhatsApp (being international tourists, my phone could not receive local calls, but WhatsApp uses the internet so she got through!) and she was incredibly nice as she checked in to see if we were still coming and even kept in touch with us to give the next location to meet since we were late. At the end of tour, Lea stayed longer to not only answer the group's questions, but took an additional 10-15 mins to explain what we had missed at the beginning and even walked us to the first site that we missed. That is going above and beyond what we ever expected from a tour guide, considering it was our fault we were late!! We were very appreciative of Lea's generosity and time in doing this despite having a personal deadline later that night to meet!! <3 We would highly recommend taking this tour with Lea! When my partner and I rated the activities we did for our Amsterdam trip, this tour was at the top of the highlights because we learned so much about the red district and it was because Lea did a fantastic job of leading us through the information when visiting the sites and did a great job connecting with the group!

Our tour operator was great (thanks Lea), the tour was well delivered even in less than ideal weather. Tour operator was engaging and presented well, didn't feel rushed at all was definitely a good tour to get a feel for the city. Would recommend!!

Absolutely fantastic!!! Our tour guide, Marta, was amazing!! Not only was she witty, but extremely knowledgeable in the Red Light district and could keep the conversation interesting and didn’t hold back any punches. Marta was fantastic and we got lucky having her as a tour guide. We learned so much about the Red Light District. What to do and what not to do. And the topic of Sex was truly on adult level with all the professionalism combined. Definitely book this one and ask for Marta!!!

This was an excellent tour. Marta was fabulous and she was very clear that tours are no longer allowed in the red light district but she points you in the direction and gives you instructions to explore once during the tour and at the end. Because of this you walk the perimeter and learn the fascinating history and current status. It was a great way as a solo female traveler to explore the district. Dress for the weather! I suggest the 8pm tour as the district was very busy and alive. Also to note the tour ends at a different spot and I had no issues walking through the district myself and then back towards the square on my own. My bar is high when it comes to tours and this one was great!

Great and informative tour! Our tour guide Sanja was excellent and gave a good overview of the history of the district. While tours are not allowed into the district itself, we were able to walk around independently following an overview of the area.

We were told that we could get refund, but there has not been any further communication We want our refund please!!!!

Fantastic tour! Marta was thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly as she guided us through the history of the district and it’s workers. Equipped with reference materials, she gave us a realistic understanding of the district and the lives of the workers within. Highly recommend

The tour guide Justus was very friendly and knowledgeable of the red light district. He provided the history of it, very interesting and the walk was awesome, the weather was perfect

Justus was amazinggggggg! He’s so knowledgeable and welcoming. He made the tour interactive and fun! If anyone gets lucky enough to have him as their tour guide they’re in for a treat!

The tour was interesting, and our guide Justus was fairly well informed, albeit a few times when asked questions by members of the group he didn’t know the answers. To be clear however, as I can’t see this anywhere on the description, you do NOT get a tour of the Red Light District itself, just the surrounds. It is not allowed for tour groups to be taken into the RLD, so you only go in after the tour is finished, by which time if you have questions it is of course too late. One negative I have is when a tour guide asks for tips after a paid tour, I find it off putting. I understand the concept of the many ‘free’ tours and tipping a guide, but do not like being asked to tip a paid tour for which the total group of 12 will have paid €300 up front already.

The Red Light tour with Theresa was exciting, interesting and also entertaining. I can highly recommend it, we had a great time in Amsterdam.
