We had an amazing trip to Cajas national park with Polylepis tours and our amazing guide Wilson. We did two two-hour hikes at two different locations, and also went to a beautiful viewpoint, from which we could have a very nice view over parts of the Cajas national park. Everything was very well organized and everything was on time. We were also picked up from our hotel. Our guide Wilson was very friendly and was very talented at spotting all the different interesting animals and plants and was even able to name all of them. He knew many interesting facts about the Cajas national park and we were amazed by his knowledge. At the end of the tour, we also he an exceptional lunch. I would highly recommend this tour if you are in Cuenca and I can highly recommend Polylepis tours and their amazing guide Wilson.

We had an amazing time at Cajas National Park! Our tour guide Diego was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable and took us on a beautiful hike. While hiking through the park he taught us all about the park as well as sharing a lot of information on Cuenca and Ecuador. We had a wonderful day appreciating the beauty of the park and couldn’t have ask for a better guide than Diego!

Diego was great and had lots of interesting facts about medicinal plants, the history of Cuenca as well as local life. The tour was well paced and the fish option at the restaurant was delicious.

My husband and I took the same trip guided trip from Cuenca to Cajas National Park two years ago and returned because Cajas is so extraordinary. This trips includes two guided hikes at different altitudes and a lunch. Diego our guide was knowledgeable and personable. He included some Spanish lessons as we were the only participants and interested. Cuenca is a beautiful city with a lively historic UNESCO central area that has numerous restaurants and shops.

In mid-February my wife and I had a great hike and tour in Cajas National Park with Diego, our tour guide and hike leader. We had great weather, so we were able to get in a solid 3 hour hike through various terrain types and around many lakes. Diego adjusted our hike to challenge us and to make us earn, through solid cardio, a great lunch. The landscape was incredible and Diego's explanation of the flora, fauna and geology of the park made for a real education. The natural beauty of the park, the excellent guidance of Diego and a feeling of cardio accomplishment made for a great day.

Fantastic scenery. Highly recommend taking this tour if you're in Cuenca. Definitely "moderate" level - so decent fitness needed. Our guide, Moisés, was knowledgable and friendly.

Moises was an excellent guide. He picked me up directly from my Airbnb. He had a lot of knowledge about the flora and fauna of the places we went to. He was very personable and friendly and I was glad to have someone who knew what they were doing.

What an amazing day! I did a solo hike with Edison. He was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. We hiked around 4 hours through stunning parts of Cajas. The tour included a delicious trout lunch at a beautiful Restuarant. I would definitely recommend this tour. You will be blown away by the stunning views and learn a lot about the park and surrounding area.

We took this tour today with Eddison (Eddie) which was super informative and the park was so beautiful! We booked last thing and the hotel pickup made the trip really easy. Eddie was very knowledgeable and made the day very relaxed! Lunch was superb too!

The national park is stunning and has a very relaxing atmosphere to it on a cloudy and rainy day. The tour guide that was with us gave us lots of very usefull informations about history, biology and geology of the park while also answering our numerous questions. Very professionnal and kind. For me, this tour is at the top of the ones I did so far and the price is very good for what you get!

Eddie was fantastic , so full of knowledge, stopped when we needed a break and when we wanted to take pictures. The sights were unbelievable.

We were lucky with both, guide (edi) and the weather. The first hike showed us the Highlands. But the second short walk around a beautiful Lake in a lower valley aside was also nice.

I had an amazing day out in the National park. We did a walk around the lake at the park entrance and after lunch another walk in the cloud Forrest. Andres, our guide, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, he took his time to answer all questions and he was never short of anything. He loves the mountains and valleys the place his office. Thanks to him we saw and learned a lot about the flora and fauna, in particular the birds, and we're lucky enough to see most of them, even tucan and hummingbird. The short hikes are suitable for anyone , it's not a strenuous activity, but mind the altitude and be prepared for changing weather.

Andrés was so knowledgeable. He has an encyclopedic memory. Because of his lifetime of experience we were able to see so many things, especially birds that we would have never seen on our own. The pacing of the hike was great. Getting to eat the local food at an establishment that was local and environmentally responsible was good. It was time and money well spent. Andrés is an enthusiastic guide who loves his country and it's natural resources. The hikes were a wonderful way to end our time in Cuenca.

Wilson was such a great tour guide to have for this tour. His knowledge was fantastic and his English was excellent. The tour itself was amazing, the weather when I was there wasn’t great but the National park was still beautiful and there was still lots of flora and fauna to see. Wilson was very knowledgeable on birds that we spotted and also all the flora we saw. Lunch stop was tasty and the last lake visit was also beautiful. Overall, great day and would highly recommend to anyone with time in Cuenca to do.

I did a solo tour with Wilson, he knew a lot about the nature, plants, birds all around the National Park Cajas. The 3 hour walk around the Laguna Toreadora was definitely a highlight; impressive views and a real photogenic scenery, both for the mountains, lagunas and indigenous plants and flowers.

The trip to Cajas National Park was amazing because of Andres. We took a small hike around a lake at the Llaviucu entrance which went through several ecosystems and Andres was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. We had a very tasty trout lunch at a trout farm. We also went further up into a higher area where you can view multiple lakes.

Fantastic trip! Wilson is extremely experienced. He was a great resource for plants, animals, geology and history. My kids loved the experience as well.
