We were a bit wary of booking the tour as it was 8 hours long, which included quite a lot of time travelling between the temples. Having said that, our guide, who's nickname was Oil, ( a really lovely, knowledgeable guide), used the time travelling to explain the significances of each temple, the monks and the history of the religions , which made the time between temples seem a lot shorter. The temples were very interesting, for us the Dragon Cave temple was the highlight, the climb up through each section was a journey in itself, up to the top cave where we met the bats, what a great experience. I would recommend this tour but be aware there is a lot of walking.

Jenny our guide was absolutely amazing. She told us so much about Thai culture, Buddhism and the temples themselves that you didn’t want the day to end. What was also a nice touch was that she told us a little about her family and daily life which made the information that she shared with us more personal and relevant. There is quite a bit of walking, and at times it’s quite steep with a lot of steps, but you get plenty of rest breaks and they make sure you are well hydrated. The food stop was also very good, with great views over the lake. I would definitely recommend and if you get Jenny you won’t be disappointed.

Enjoyable and educational, staff were amazing and informative, the first temple had some seriously dodgy stairs to climb/descend but otherwise would recommend.

Great trip and I learned so much about Thai culture & religions. Everything worked smoothly. Our guide Jenny was a total pro and I felt very safe while our driver Rwn (??) was driving the minivan. I recommend this trip if you are interested to see different kinds of temples & learn more.

Gift was an amazing guide to the amazing temples, her knowledge and enthusiasm was clear to see. Tat our driver made us all feel safe and the lunch was excellent. Onto the Temples the Naga cave was extraordinary and well worth the many steps one can only imagine the first monk climbing to find this cave. Walk the extra 55 steps for the view you will regret it if you don’t. The Pagoda temple again is Amazing and the views and serenity cannot be described. Lunch consisted of a range of Thai dishes all delightful with a view of the river which adds to the experience, there is no way you would find this restaurant on your own. The Third temple was not as wow as the first 2 but I was blessed by a monk and saw some amazing Waxworks. Thank you Gift it truly was an “Amazing 3 Temple tour

Had an interesting day visiting the 3 temples, Sonchay was very knowledgable and was a great tour guide. Was quite a long day but we had a lovely lunch and had plenty of water throughout the day. Definitely worth the visit to get more of an insight of the temples and Buddhism

This was a very informative day and our tour guide knew her stuff and the restaurant for lunch was a beautiful location. We do feel this tour would be better with just two temples as it was a little long with 3 and not recommended for families with young children. Best bit was being blessed by the Buddha.

My husband and I and our 2 teen boys enjoyed the day with Gift (tour guide) and Sayan (driver). Gift spoke very clear English and blessed us with her personal experiences with Buddhism as she explained the religion, beliefs, and practices. She was friendly, and it was easy to ask her questions. The three temples were each very different: the first in a rather remote cave; the second, a vibrant temple and pagoda atop a hill overlooking enormous statues; the third temple was next to a giant Buddha and museum of wax replicas of monks (the museum was the only place we could not take photos). One of our boys claims he was a bit bored with so much sitting in the van, the other welcomed a nap during the time between temples. It was a full day that we enjoyed. People with mobility challenges would not enjoy the cave -- there were hundreds of steps to get into it and explore it, and, when wet, some of the rock surfaces were slippery. There were handles at all the stairs. Note, you will need to take off shoes in all the temples, and socks come off in the wax museum. Wet tiles could be very slick, and there were mats and walkways set up for those. In the cave, some took socks off, I kept mine on (yes, they got a bit dirty). The cave temple seemed to be swept and clean, unlike most rocky caves. The provided lunch was delicious and, at the start of the day, Gift asked about food restrictions and allergies and made sure that there was an assortment of dishes available for everyone.

What an amazing day out. The Three Temples tour was one of the highlights of the Phuket holiday. The first two temples were visually stunning, while the third one required climbing into a cave - the view from there was amazing. The lunch stop was at an authentic local restaurant where the food was beautifully spiced. The guide and driver were fabulous, however special mention to the driver who had a constabt supply of icy cold water, soft drinks and wet wipes for us to cool down. The pickup and delivery back to the hotel went very smoothly. Totally recommend Khao Lak Land Discovery.

We had a lovely lunch at the water, parts of the tour were dragged out We thought the first temple could be avoided and more time spent at the second

My husband and I were were absolutely blown away by this tour! Gift was such a wonderful guide with personal and in-depth knowledge of each temple location. We finished the tour knowing so much more about the culture of Thai people and the history of Buddhism. Each temple was quite different, the first one located in a cave, the second one was quite mind blowingly beautiful and grand, and the final one was a local temple where we had the opportunity to learn about prayer ritual if we wanted to (no pressure to do this if you don't want to), and also be blessed by the Monk. The wax museum at the last temple was pretty interesting too. Between the 2nd and 3rd temples we had a lunch stop at a local restaurant with a spectacular view over the river. The food was delicious - so much food and with great options for people with dietary restrictions. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that would like to learn about the culture, religion and also enjoy some pretty spectacular sights, with a knowledgeable and very sweet guide. I recommend taking shoes that are easy to get on and off as you will be removing them quite a bit. There is a little bit of steep climbing up steps to get to the first temple cave so if you are afraid of heights or unable to climb stairs, you might have to sit this temple out. But the other two temples are easy enough to access.

Firstly, Gift was truly an amazing tour host. She was knowledgeable, friendly and very warm. From the moment we were picked up from our hotel, to the minute we were dropped off - we felt happy and content. The temples were stunning, and took our breath away. Each of the 3 were so unique and made for beautiful viewing. It felt like an honour to be guided through these sacred spaces by a guide who clearly loves her faith. Truly special. Highlights of the day - we had a wonderful chance to meet and be blessed by a monk, we climbed up to the viewing point of the first temple and the view was just amazing, and we got to enjoy the day with a group of like minded strangers who had also tagged along for the tour! Be mindful, there are a fair few stairs and the day was very warm - so dress appropriately but be prepared to sweat! Overall, was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend.

Had a fantastic time on this tour - a really nicely paced day seeing three very different temples, all of them showing you something new about Thailand. Our guide was very knowledgeable, lunch was absolutely delicious and plentiful! I am travelling solo but felt really welcomed and at ease. If it's boiling, remember you only need to cover up for the temples themselves - I wore a strap top and brought a very light shirt with me just to wear while at the temples, but stayed cool without it on the drives and at lunch.

Temples . A tour full of history! We had gift as our guide. We were picked up right on time at our hotel lobby. Gift was very friendly and so was the driver. She did not stop sharing Thai history and culture from the moment we got on the van; she was a book full of knowledge…which we truly enjoyed. Drive was 1-hour to first temple and about 20 minutes in between each other. We spent 1-hour at each to make a full day out of the tour. First temple, The Cave, you will go up many steps but the views and how interesting make it worthwhile. The second temple was gorgeous. Lunch before 3rd temple was at a local beautiful spot by the river. Very tasty dishes to share, non spicy. Last stop was interesting but you are drained from the heat already. We came April 2 (mom and 2 kids with grandma). Would recommend if you like history and enjoy the culture.

Our tour guide Gift was extremely knowledgeable, and taught us the customs of Thai Buddhism. She took us to a restaurant for lunch with our food waiting for us on the table, and went out of her way to make sure it was food that we could eat. Gift was very personable and made our day amazing. Thank you Gift!

This was a great way to explore the Khao Lak and Phuket country side, while learning about Thai culture. Our guide Oil was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very passionate about her country and culture. The van was very plush. Lunch was delicious. Oil and the driver made sure we were hydrated. My husband had motion sickness from the curves of the road, so the driver took extra care.

What a wonderful experience this day trip was. Our guide ‘Gift’ is a practising Buddhist and therefore was. so passionate and knowledgeable about the faith and facts at each temple. We were a family of 4 and joined by 2 other couples and so it felt like a very intimate and special day, even praying together and meeting a resident monk at the final temple. Gift and the wonderful driver ‘Bird’ looked after us so well throughout the day with lots of cold drink and snacks and we had a wonderful Thai lunch at a restaurant as well. Highly recommended… thank you Gift and Bird for a special day!
