Courtney was a great tour guide. We saw five alligators! Lots of turtles. A beautiful and fun adventure. Well worth it!!

So much fun! This was our firtst time kayaking so we were worried about that. Our instructor was so kind and patient. We had a great time and it was a unique experience.

Courtney was a great guide- we (two adults, two kids) had four separate kayaks and enjoyed every minute. We saw two gators, but had just as good a time when we were paddling through the first river. A great experience.

Amazing morning trip! Perfect day; the water literally was like glass. Peaceful (except when the military jets out of Virginia passed overhead) and very relaxing. Our guide Courtney was amazing; knowledgeable, personable, and very patient with us amateur paddlers (thanks for getting my wife off that log). She pointed out the gators (at least 5-6) and other interesting things. Don’t let your fear of the outdoors or your inexperience keep you from this wonderful trip. Thanks you Courtney!

We had a great time! It was probably slightly more challenging than total beginner kayaking because of the small swampy trails but first timers seemed to do fine. The vegetation was beautiful. We saw two alligators but not a lot of other wildlife. Guide was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Enjoyed ourselves very much!

Great tour! Very serene. Paddling was not difficult; little current or wind. We were able to see one alligator but mostly the best part was following the neat paddling path through the marshes. Guide Flannery was awesome. She was super nice and patient, great with the teens, and had a sharp eye for wildlife.

Great and unique kayaking experience! Liam was our guide and he was wonderful! Very patient and friendly! We were beginners and we truly enjoyed this experience.

Erika was our tour guide and she did an amazing job! She gave us lots of information on the area/it's history/and the wildlife. She also made sure everyone was safe and gave very helpful instructions. She will take pictures of your group for you while you're on the water and send it to you. If I had any complaint it would be, she forgot to text me our picture. Everyone else had iPhones though so she air dropped their pictures. We saw 4 alligators while in our kayaks and one even swam with us. I highly recommend this tour and Erika as a tour guide!

Relaxing and fun kayaking adventure! Unfortunately we didn’t see any wildlife, but still had a great time.

We saw a bear just as we approached the meet up location, which was fun! Lots of alligators and beautiful scenery! Our guide, Finn was a delight and it is a must do!

Boyfriend and I wanted a cool thing to do during our stay. We saw a bald eagle catch a fish, a gator, snake, and a huge black bear walking down the road on our way out. Our tour guide Donny was so cool, very friendly and informative. It was about an hour and a half trip so bring water and bug spray. This was the highlight of our trip, thank you guys!

The instructor well trained, friendly, not overbearing. Relaxing and enjoyably. Remote. Able to view wildlife. To short of a trip.

It was fun! We saw alligators, a big ole black bear and a red eared slider turtle. The tour guy was very chill and got us out on the water quick. However, the place smells soooo bad. Like sulfur/eggs smell, so beware of that. There’s also a far amount of spiders so that sucked too. Otherwise the tour was great.

We had tickets for the 7:30am slot on 7/7/23 which was a beautiful time to kayak in the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. The scenery was stunning, and it was such a tranquil experience to be out on the water early in the morning, with the surrounding wildlife (frogs, insects, etc.) as the soundtrack to the trip. Our guide was Flannery and she was incredibly friendly (hope you enjoy Taylor’s new album!) and knowledgeable about the area and wildlife in the refuge, pausing to tell us all about the red wolf project. Unfortunately we didn’t see any alligators, but we did see a Great Blue Heron take flight. My husband and I were in a tandem kayak and might have been the least experienced in our group of 6, but we were able to navigate the paddling trails once we found a rhythm. Overall it was an incredible experience and a highlight of our trip to the outer banks.

I was a little nervous at first but they made us feel safe and I wish I could remember our guides name (blonde surfer like lol) but he was awesome. It was such a cool experience! My kids didn’t want to go when I told them at first but they loved it and my son even swam in the “lake part”. It was beautiful and peaceful.

Tasha was so knowledgeable and accommodating, she is able to give information about most species in the refuge. She was accommodating too to everyone, knowing everyone’s name and making sure we are doing ok

The kayak tour was awesome! Very family friendly and our guide was very sweet and also knowledgeable. We didn't see a ton of wildlife during our tour, but I'm sure we were just unlucky.

Fairly easy paddle. I would say suitable for all levels. Beautiful scenery. Our guide, Flannery, kept the group informed and engaged throughout. If you’re looking for something active to do in the OBX (other than hitting up the beach) This is a great option! Just bring bug spray.

I would like to thank you for such an amazing day! We didn't know what to expect and it was definitely a wonderful experience. My group and I did the 10am tour with Fan (I think that was her name) she was a great! She told us all about the area, explained everything in great details and even asked if we have questions. Throughout the tour she talked to everyone, tried her best to remember names and made things personal but asking the group questions about where we’re from, etc. The path that we had to kayak through was BEAUTIFUL! We went under a small bridge, into open water, through a smaller path where we saw tons of insects, fish, etc. the air was pure, and it was quiet! A great experience overall!! I would definitely book something like this again if I’m ever back in OBX.
