We had an amazing day with our tour guide Cassie showing us the wonderful Pandas and the Leshan Buddha She was wonderful and very enthusiastic with her knowledge and history of the places Cassie took us to a great cultural lunch which we highly enjoyed I highly recommend having Cassie as a tour guide Thank you

Fifi was such an amazing tour guide!! Having a private van for just our family of 4 made the day so enjoyable. On our own timeline we had a great time touring the Panda sanctuary. The drive to Leshan was long but we rested and got more cultural info from Fifi. Lunch in Leshan was AMAZING and the buddha was so inspiring. Highly recommend Fifi and her team!!

Just wanted to inform you that the tour was fantastic. We were able to see the Giant Pandas very well. Also, the Leshan Giant Buddha tour was amazing. Fi-Fi was amazing and so fun! My teenagers loved her! We would not have managed to fit everything into one day, or have figured out the transportation on our own. The arrangements were smooth and painless. Our guide and drivers were on time and very knowledgable. We were at the panda base early and managed to spend almost an hour alone with one panda who showed off for us. Fi-Fi managed to navigate us to the best spots at the park and we were out of here before it got too busy. The Leshan Buddha was awe inspiring, but I enjoyed the train trip seeing some chinese country side even more.

I really loved the trip, it was very well organized and the only trip offering both attractions in 1 day. Sharleen was my guide and she was patient, informative and a pleasure to be around. The bears are terribly cute and a joy to see. Lunch was excellent and seeing the grandness of the Buddha was very memorable. Overall a great day and highly recommend.

A packed day, Sharlene was very patient with us having 3 small children 6/4yrs and 11mnths. She found a great balance between letting us get the children sorted and pushing us along in order to meet the train and boat ride in Leshan. Very good English and guided us through the day with as much information as we wanted. Time keeping was excellent and very informative about what was going to be done.

I booked two day tours with WestChinaGo through Lily Chen - Dujiangyan Panda Base Volunteer for the day, and on day two, Chengdu Giant Panda Base and Leshan Giant Buddha by High-Speed Train. My outstanding guide and wonderful driver were Sharlene (Wen Wen) and Mr. Gao. It is impossible for me to say enough positive things about Sharlene. She provided me with a wealth of information and was also extremely organized. It was difficult not to cry when we said goodbye because I felt I had gotten to know her so well in just two days and that we are now good friends. My entire experience with WestChinaGo was perfect from the first time I corresponded with Lily. When I arrived in Chengdu, my driver was there to meet me; and when I got to the car, Lily called me to make sure I had arrived safely. This gesture made a big impact on me because it showed how important her clients are to her and immediately made me feel like I was in good hands. The tours I took were both great. The volunteer program allows you to get up close to the pandas and feed them (twice). You really feel part of their daily lives. The second day, we went to the Panda Research Base in Chengdu. This was such a special morning. We saw pandas in both of the nurseries - one baby panda a month old and the other one about 3 months old. They are so precious it takes your breath away. Then, we took the high-speed train to see the Leshan Giant Buddha. Sharlene took me to an excellent restaurant for lunch before we took the boat to see the Buddha. It was much more impressive than I expected. Fortunately, there was no scaffolding, and we had perfect weather. I had allowed myself an extra day in Chengdu to return to the Panda Research Base. Sharlene gave me excellent tips for that day. I was fortunate enough to again see baby pandas in both nurseries, and then I spent several more hours enjoying the other pandas at the base. Sharlene had told me about a sightseeing bus that would take me from the Panda Base to Jingli Street for about $1.50. I was the only non-Chinese on the bus, but everyone was very friendly and helpful. Being an older woman traveling alone, I was nervous about being in Chengdu by myself. However, Sharlene was so thoughtful and caring. I immediately felt at ease with her, and she gave me the confidence to enjoy my extra day. I want to thank Lily, Sharlene, and Mr. Gao for providing me with so many unforgettable memories.

I will make this very short; Lily was my main coordinator for this group and she was so helpful and friendly. She even go beyond that and helped us throughout the trip! I am visiting China again and Lily I’m calling you very soon :). Thanks for the EXCELLENT service.

Even before our trip at the end of Mar'19 we were very pleased with the service we recieved from 'West China Go'.I emailed Lily several times with queries, she was quick to reply & always answered in great detail. After booking we had to change the date which Lily arranged for us without any problems. Our guide Winnie was brilliant & added to the great experience. We had plenty of time at the Giant Panda Base before catching the train to see the Leshan Gaint Buddha. We were so lucky as the Buddha had been under restoration but on the day we went the scaffolding had been removed.I would definitely recommend the company, the trip & Winnie( excellent guide) they all went above & beyond. What a wonderful day with Flora and Mr Jo!! Thank you so much Lily for organizing a perfect day of Panda viewing, Big Buddha sighting and the beautiful ancient fishing village/grottos. Flora spoke amazing English and was a ray of sunshine and knowledge. I would highly recommend this tour. Because there we 3 of us they opted to use a minivan which was an added bonus for our day!! Both Lily and Flora have provided many restaurant recommendations for the rest of our stay. The Pandas were in out if force which made a highlight to the day!!

Myself and 2 friends recently did 2 days of touring Chengdu and had a fabulous time. Lily was very helpful communicating with me to ensure we had the best 2 days and Flora our guide was great. She spoke English really well and was fun and informative to be around. We thoroughly enjoyed all the sights of Chengdu especially the Pandas!

We recently visited Chengdu, and and were very excited to visit the Chengdu Giant Panda Base and the Leshan Giant Buddha since these are two major tourist attractions in Chengdu. Once we booked the tour, Lily, promptly emailed me to discuss the details. Our guide, Andie, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, and she spoke English very well. The Panda Base was amazing, and it was really neat to see so many Pandas and baby Pandas. Make sure to get there early to avoid the crowds. The pandas are also more active in the mornings when it is cooler. The high speed train to Leshan was also great, and the Buddha was massive and an awesome sight to see. We ended up taking the boat ride to get a better view of the Buddha. This was a great tour, and I would highly recommend it to others!

My wife, myself and our 2 year old son had a fantastic experience visiting the panda base and the Leshan Buddha. Our guide Ivy was very knowledgeable and always ready to help, which just contributed to make that an unforgettable day. We highly recommend Ivy and this tour.

We had a wonderful day with guide Winnie. The panda preserve was interesting. Saw a cute baby!! There is quite a bit of hilly walking to see pandas so people with mobility problems might want to pass. The Giant Buddha is amazing!! And Winnie took us to a family run restaurant for lunch which was some of the best food I've ever had! Highly recommend this tour and request Winnie!

After long and detail research on tour guides for Pandas in China, I found Lily. And i was amaze by the amount of 5 stars review she had. So I contact her, and finally book with her. And I can tell you hands down, the BEST decision me and my wife did for our 1 month vacation in china!! Not only she was AWESOME in Chengdu, but she even took the time to recommend other tour guides for the other cities we were visiting.....and ALL of them turn out to be also great tour guides. Lily not only made our trip memorable, but also she as human being is extraordinary. So easy to sit down and chat with her. We even met her daughter, beautiful and smart Lily Jr. So yes! Do yourself a favor and book West China Go! We were bless and glad we did! The memories and good times we had were possible because of lily and her company!

Best tour ever! And best tour guide ever!!! So glad that I had Amy as my tour guide. She was so easy to connect to that it felt as if I am accompanied by a friend and not a tour guide.
Amy picked me up sharp at 7.45 am from my hotel and we hoped into the travel company car and reached Giant Panda Base. Since we reached there at around 8.15, which was pretty early, we avoided all the rush and got good view of all sizes of Pandas one red panda actually walked past me casually!!. Amy also helped me pick up the right souvenirs.
We left the Panda base at around 10.45 am and went to South Chengdu Station to catch the high speed train to Leshan scheduled for 11.40 am. Amy shared more information about Chengdu and Leshan during the 1 hour train journey. We then headed to a local restaurant where I had some delicious food. Tofu soup was the best!!
I opted to take a 30 min boat ride to see the Giant Buddha as I felt it was wiser than spending time and energy in queues to reach the Giant Buddha. Hiking trip takes you too close to the statue that you dont get a good view. The view from the boat was amazing and I would highly recommend doing that. You also get a Sleeping Buddha View if you do a boat trip.
We then took a return train to Chengdu at 4.10 pm. This one took a little more time than the morning train but we were back to Chengdu South Railway Station by 5.30 pm. I was then dropped back to my hotel with some recommendations on where to have dinner.
I am definitely going to visit Chengdu again for a longer duration next time to explore more of Sichuan heritage and I will contact West China Go and Amy again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOLKS!!

My wife and I were led by Jamie Jing of West China Go Travel Service on this tour. We enjoyed a good time in both the Panda Base and Leshan Giant Buddha due to Jamie's professional planning as we started early in the morning visiting the Panda Base due to the potential pre-National Day crowd. We were fortunate to see very active Panda having their breakfast and manage to mingle with a red Panda who came right up to our feet. We were blessed to see these cute animals in their natural habitat.
For lunch Jamie took us to an old reputable restaurant in Leshan that serve all the popular food in Chengdu.
We took the ferry to view the Giant Buddha from the river instead of walking/climbing the stairs jostling with the crowd and not able to view the full Buddha. It was a wise decision that travelers should consider when visiting Leshan Giant Buddha.

Lily was a great guide which was full of knowledge and very friendly. This tour not only gave us enough time to enjoy the Pandas in the morning, but by taking the high speed train, we were able to visit Leshan and the Giant Buddha in the same day without rushing. I highly recommend this tour if you need to fit in both these great locations in one day.
