What an amazing three day tour of Beijing with Angela, the most amazing tour guide. Angela made the history of Beijing China come alive and we thoroughly enjoyed her knowledge of every part of the city. Would highly recommend this to tour for anyone visiting Beijing for the first time. The restaurants we visited were authentic and the food was fantastic.

I highly recommend Catherine Lu Tour for everyone who is looking for private tour guide in Beijing! Arranging the tour with Catherine was really pleasant, she was informative, polite, and patient, so the communication was easy and clear. She is easily contacted via wechat or whatssap. Sonia was our assigned guide throughout our trip, we really love our time with her! She was fun, engaging, and she really knows her history! We had so much with Sonia, and we thank her alot for this enjoyable experience. Our first day was Tianamen Sq and Forbidden City, and we were so so glad to opt for private tour instead, as the place is really massive and without company of licensed tour guide, the entrance to the compound is super long, so we saved a lot of time by having private tour guide, as we could enter the compound directly. Our second day was Great Wall, we asked for recommendation from Catherine which one was easier for elderly, as my mom who is 68yo was with us in the trip, she recommended Mutianyu section, it was definitely easier path for small children and elderly, and it has cable car, ski lift, and tobbogan option. So alot of choices for all ages. Sonia always recommended restaurant that had good foods! We are totally enjoying many delicious Chinese foods during this trip. We had a great time. Catherine has been very helpful arranging our itinerary and we had Peter is our tour leader. He has been such a great tour leader for our family. A university graduate majoring in History, Peter is very knowledgable about history and backgrounds of various Chinese dynasties, making his stories very interesting. We could relate his stories to the ancient sites we visited. He is also very knowledgable about today’s China. We highly recommend Peter as your tour guide in China and Beijing in particular 👍👍👍👍

While travelling, I usually take everything on my own shoulders. And originally planned so in case of the trip with my son to Beijing. But while preparing for the trip and after reading some comments, I have finally decided to contact Catherine Lu Tours. And simply - could not take better decision! The service was EXCELLENT from the first second. The pre-trip communication with Catherine was superb. The e-mail exchange was fast and very efficient. We have came to the tailored made plan of our trip and agreed the major topics quickly. Catherine has provided all essential information and, what's even more important, requirements, which came into effect once China re-opened for tourists after the Covid. Thanks to it we were able to prepare ourselves for the visit very well and complete all the points from our planned-to-visit list. While in Beijing, we have been guided by Jerry (the first day) and Sonia (other three days). Both were GREAT, very friendly, with enourmous knowledge, providing a lot of very interesting information, tips and priceless advices. Though we have had "a general plan" of the visit, they were fully flexible and any required changes were applied according to our needs or circumstances. As the result we have not only completed all points from our original program but done it in the most effective and pleasant way! Though I found the service a bit pricy at the beginning, before arriving to Beijing, I have completely changed my opinion after those 4 days. I could not spend the money in a better way. Do not hesitate even for a second - let professionals take care of you while in Beijing. You will not regret!

Trip was planned flawlessly! Our tour guide Sonia was very knowledgeable and also fun! She was great with our boys (ages 6 & 4) and was able to adjust our itinerary depending if they were getting too tired or hungry. Overall, wonderful experience!! Would book again with Sonia :)

Great wall and the Hutong food tour were amazing experiences. Tianmen square, Summer palace, Forbidden city, Ming tomb, Temple of Heaven, Lama temple were so full of history and therefore very interesting to learn about. Catherine was great together with our other tour guide Sonia and the drivers were awesome. Catherine Lu Tours did a fantasic job in arranging all logistics, together with good transportation, the trip was smooth and comfortable. A big thanks to Catherine for putting together a memorable trip for us all......wonderful service!!

We had an incredible three day tour in Beijing with Catherine Lu. She was amazing from the start- she was so helpful, communicative, and patient with us as we planned and scheduled. She met us at the airport with a private driver and we went straight to The Great Wall! We also did Tian'anmen Square and The Forbidden City, a food tour of the hutongs, Lama Temple, Temple of Heaven, and Summer Palace. We did Universal Studios after our tour with Catherine and she continued to check in with us to make sure we were doing alright which was so nice! She is so knowledgeable and I learned so much that I could not have hoped to learn by myself or with any other guide. She took lots of photos and videos for us, booked all of the entrance tickets to all of the sights we saw, and chose great local restaurants for us to eat at and ordered for us. The trip was so easy for us and so not stressful because she took care of everything. All that we had to do was enjoy!!! I can't recommend her services enough. I am so grateful to have these experiences and memories to last a lifetime that we truly could not have done without her. She gifted us picture frames with a picture we took together on The Great Wall which was such a thoughtful gesture. She has also compiled multiple videos for us to cherish! Fabulous 3 day tour in Beijing with our tour guide Catherine. Catherine is very knowledgeable and super friendly. We visited all the sights in Beijing including a visit to the Great Wall. The tour was relaxed and we also had plenty of spare to time to relax in the city and enjoy our free time. I would highly recommend.

This was our first time to go on a private tour here in China and it was well worth it. Peter was an excellent guide, who took care of everything, and was very knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. Visiting the Great Wall was a highlight for me and my kids loved riding back down in the toboggan. Being able to jump in the van and relax as we were driven from place to place was great and it is highly recommended if you have kids. Our driver, Lee, was very polite and both he and Peter provided a great service. I highly recommend this tour.

We were in beijing for 3 days and had Peter as our guide. From the very beginning he was personable, very helpful and patient. He brought Beijing very close to us in this short time, organized everything in advance and responded to our wishes. So everything was perfect! We can highly recommend Peter!

We did a Beijing Private Tour with Joy and had a wonderful set of visits! We were able to come up with a customized itinerary to focus on what we wanted to visit - the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, and the Summer Palace. The highlight was the Great Wall, which was stunning. It was very helpful to have Joyce's explanations on the sites so we understood what we were seeing and also her assistance for logistics - pick up, drop off, knowing where the nearest toilets and baby changing facilities were, and where we could warm up from the cold. We were traveling with a toddler and her help made this a smooth experience.

We had two families (8 people) on our first trip to China. Catherine Lu Tours was amazing. From Jenna helping us make our itinerary to Sonja our awesome tour guide. We saw all of the main attractions and had time in the week to shop and walk around. Sonja knows so much information about the history, she ordered amazing lunches, and was just helpful in making this one of the best trips we've ever taken. I have been to China before but wanted to bring my portuguese family to experience the country, and I am so glad we found Catherine Lu! Joyce was our guide and she was amazing, accommodating our needs and was very patient throughout - her knowledge for Chinese history was incredible, we could point at ANYTHING at the Summer Palace and she would tell you a story about it. In between places she would tell us the history of location as well as many stories from the old royal court / emperors which we found very interesting. We went to Forbidden City, Summer Palace, temple and heaven and the Wall in 3 days - was a bit rushed but we knew that it would be the case, so I would recommend spending more days in Beijing if possible. Joyce was very honest with us on this trip - took us to actually local restaurants for delicious meals and did not recommend us to any shopping traps. It was an incredible trip for our family - thanks again Joyce!
