We enjoyed the Albany Wildlife and Scenic Cruise on the Kalgan river very much! The captain, Jack, was very knowledgeable about the area and the local wildlife, and very entertaining! Doing anything is worth doing it right… and Jack was very thorough and creative with his tour! We would recommend it to anyone visiting Albany, Australia!

Excellent trip. Beautiful scenery. Expectional Tour Guide making the trip funny, entertaining, and educational. Seeing birds of prey up close was amazing but the best bit of the trip was interaction with the Pelicans. Thank you Jack for an awesome day.

Brilliant 4 hours. Scenery & commentary were spectacular. Best damper we have ever tasted & Capt Jack even shared the recipe which was just another way he went above & beyond.

The trip was fun from the word go . The captain was funny , peppering info with jokes . The view was spectacular. In addition to the scenery, we had Percy the dancing pelican to entertain us , and we also got to see Ospreys swooping down to feed on fish, and their nests. The captain brought homemade damper, honey as well as live oysters for us to try.

Host was very good, entertaining and gad lots of knowledge about the area. Saw lots of birds and a pelican stood on our boat before we left. would highly recommend

Captain Jack was very knowledgeable and told great stories about the history of the Albany area. We loved the wildlife and feeding of ospreys and eagles, and meeting Percy the pelican. Finally, the damper was a delicious treat!

Patting Perch the Pelican was practically perfect! Dining on damper was dandy! The freshly shucked oyster- ostensibly splendid!

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Very interesting and captain Jack was a wealth of knowledge and story's. We particularly liked seeing the Osprey, Sea Eagle and Pelicans.

This was the highlight of our trip to Denmark. Learnt so much about pelicans and birds of prey. The warm damper was delicious!!

A very enjoyable and relaxing cruise on the Kalgan River. You will not be disappointed. Jsck was very informative about the Kalgan River and the wildlife. We booked a week in advance. We picked the perfect day to go in October as it reached 26 degrees in the arvo. Captain Jack was very entertaining with his own poems, talk of his family and telling his story about his beloved Pelican Perch who he hand reared until able to let it go. Perch the Pelican was very photogenic. We were able to see Osprey nests very clearly and Captain fed the Osprey as he flew by. We were lucky enough to taste his Mum's homemade Damper bread and enjoyed fresh honey from his Bee farm. If we had one criticism and it is very minor it would be nice to have an hour to ourselves on the boat without any commentary so we could chat to the people we met from all over the world. Just a tip, remember to bring warm clothing or a warm fleece or jumper because at 9am in Albany it's very chilly out on the water and you will feel it. Best to go prepared and bring some water.

Captain Jack is full of information on the local area and knows intimate details of its heritage. Its fun and the scenery if beautiful. You get up close to the wildlife and especially the pelicans who love Captain Jack. A well run family business and I totally recommended the tour to anyone. It's first class.

Captain Jack and his cabin mate made a beautiful cruise into a fantastic experience. Learnt so much, saw rays,pelicans *including the famous dancing ones! The freshly shocked oysters were delicious, as was the home made damper. The osprey and sea Eagles, as well as the dolphin added a layer of joy. Captain Jack was a very fun knowledgeable man. He spoke with so much respect and love for the area and wildlife. He kept us all hanging on each word. The damper his mum made was amazing, the honey was delicious and his recommendations for local businesses to visit didn't put us wrong. (Handasyde's) was a wonderful place to go after the cruise Definitely a tour to do when visiting.

The pelicans were delightful and seeing the Kites dive down to grab the herring provided was an amazing experience. The damper, which is made by Jack's Mum, is yummy and I am going to give it a go. Take this tour and you won't be disappointed. TOP NOTCH LOL
