This trip was extremely educational and you could tell that Josh truly loves the marine life and educating about it. We had so much fun on our trip and one of the whale scared us all when it gave a blow extremely close to us when we were not expecting it! We also saw multiple Dalls porpoises, birds, sea lions and a bear! The up close footage with the drone tops it all off and made it even more of a special and unique experience.

We had several whale sightings, as well as bears, porpoises, sea lions, and eagles. Everything was great!

Loved this excursion!! Very well organized. Cons: we went 2nd week of May, it’s very chilly - layer up. Pros: Josh grew up on these waters. He’s an encyclopedia on what is swimming there, not just the whales. He wants to show you as many whales as he can but at one point, 5 other boats had encircled a whale and he kept our boat back from the others, saying it wasn’t good or safe for the whale to have that many boats near it. I really respected that, him putting the whales wellbeing first above the sightseers. We were also given a flash drive of whales we spotted. Very cool to go home with aerial drone footage to show the family. I learned a ton, saw lots of whales, have lots of respect for Josh and his wife operating this whale tour and their love of these whales.

We absolutely loved our excursion to see the whales with Captain Josh and his wife. It was cold and drizzly but that didn't dampen our enthusiasm in searching out the humpbacks in the bay. We saw quite a few of them feeding in the area and Josh even managed to find a mama brown bear and her 3 cubs. He was very respectful of the bears so they didn't seem to mind all of the humans staring at them. We also saw a dozen bald eagles, a sea lion, an otter, and a playful pod of porpoises hung out around our boat. They were so cute! Josh was very patient with all of our questions and knowledgeable about the area's wildlife. And the drone footage is amazing! We highly recommend this excursion.

This was an amazing experience. We several humpback whales breaching, both mommas and babies. Captain Josh was incredible . He explained everything we needed to know about the whales. He answered any questions we had. It was a small group, about 12 of us, which allowed a more personal experience. We all received a flash drive of our trip to enjoy at home. I would recommend this particular whale watch cruise highly!

Absolutely amazing!! Captain Josh and his wife, Jen, were a wealth of knowledge and knew exactly where to go to find the whales. We saw a bear first, then found a Mama and baby off the beach. Mama was texting the baby how to feed, but baby was just playing with a sea lion. Absolutely adorable! A few minutes later, we hit another spot and saw more whale tails than I could count. Then they really started showing off by breaching. By far, the highlight of our trip.

It rained the whole time we were there. We were wet and cold, but it was still the best excursion I have ever done. Captain Josh was phenomenal! He knew exactly where the whales would be. He was so knowledgeable and informative. We saw so many whales and got amazing pictures. We also saw sea lions, sea otters, and a couple of bears. As an extra bonus, at the end, we received incredible drone footage. I can not say enough good things about this experience. You just need to go and see for yourself!

One of the most incredible life changing experiences I ever had. Icy Strait Point is one of those rare special gems in the world that hardly anybody knows about. Humpback whales are known to live there in the summer and from the moment our cruise ship docked these whales put on a show for us. They greeted us as soon as we arrived showing tails in front of the ship and even bubble feeding. I got some amazing views from my balcony and I knew that this whale watching trip would be life changing. From the moment Josh picked us up he was an encyclopedia of information. I love seeing someone who is so dedicated to what he does. He truly enjoys showing people amazing animals of all kinds. The weather was a little too cloudy to use the drone for whales but Josh was able to find some bears on one of the islands so he used the drone for the bears instead. You really didn’t even need the drone for the whales there was one point where they came right behind the boat. We could smell their breath!

Awesome tour, way better than any whale watching excursion we would have had through the cruise line! Our group was only about 12 people, which gave everyone a great view of the whales and opportunities to ask the crew questions. The drone footage was a great touch not only for the unique visual, but because having the aerial view helped the captain to see where a whale was about to pop up and he could tell us where to look. This was well worth the money, and we walked away with amazing photos and video we took as well as the memory-stick with the drone footage.

We had a group of 8. Thoroughly enjoyed our adventure! The weather was fabulous-sunny and cool. Josh and his brother were awesome tour guides. The drone was amazing to see and the images were terrific! Got to share a first with them-spotted a Minke whale - that was very exciting! Lots of humpback whales, otters, sea lions Bald Eagle and a bear! All the best in your future endeavors guys! ❤️

We saw a bunch of whales, sea otters, sea lions and a couple of bears on the water edge. The icing on the cake was the video taken by the drone. Well worth every penny.

The best whale tour ever. Easy booking- clear directions to and from the excursion. Easy going and very professional couple of guys that managed our small group well. Went out of their way to accommodate and we got some super pics despite the weather. If you have the opportunity, book this. It’s fantastic.

Had the opportunity to go on this trip a few weeks ago and it was fantastic all around. Captain and first mate were extra patient with our son who has ASD and ADHD. Clean, well maintained boat, and was the perfect size to see everything while also learning about the area. The drone footage was fantastic and gave a terrific perspective to what we saw. I would not think twice to do this again if offered the opportunity. Highly recommended

From the communication prior to the trip and the excursion itself, Josh and his brother are top shelf. I highly recommend anyone considering whale watching use their services. We saw may humpbacks and orca what and took some good pictures. However, the drone footage was definitely next level. They provided a copy for each group. Thanks for a memorable experience.
