Beautiful scenery, saw Dolphins, Humpback Female and Calf, other Humpbacks. Excellent support from the well-informed staff. Better staff support than other Whale watching I've attended,

Kevin, Andrew and Danny were absolutely amazing! Their knowledge was vast and informative. They were great at spotting and making sure the experience was memorable. We saw a humpback whale and her baby. We also saw two other humpback whales. I w would highly recommend this experience!!

We had an excellent time on the whale cruise. We saw humpback whales and a pod of dolphins. I would highly recommend using this group.

We (family of 5) had a wonderful time on this tour. It was a privilege to be that close to the pair of humpback whales that our captain (JJ) maneuvered us close to. Our onboard guide, Isaiah, provided excellent commentary throughout the tour, and he helpfully answered everyone's questions about what we were experiencing. Tips/insights: It takes about one hour to get out to the whale-watching location, and likewise to return to Monterey; so you'll have roughly an hour on-station to see the whales. The weather was a little rough the day we went; maybe that was an unusual circumstance, but I would nevertheless recommend wearing waterproof clothing. (Our boat had a cabin that some passengers took refuge in, but it was pretty tight quarters.) Isaiah and the third member of the team, Kevin, helped a passenger who was seasick. Again, maybe the weather we experienced was unusual, but I would recommend bringing something to combat seasickness if you think you might be prone to it. All in all it was a great experience, due in no small measure to Capt. JJ, Isaiah, and Kevin. I will do whale-watching again the next time I'm in Monterey, and it will be with Discovery Whale Watch.

About an hour before the adventure, we received a phone call that the event was canceled due to weather conditions. We were shocked because the weather was beautiful -- sunny with blue skies. Since we were at the wharf, we noticed other whale watching companies were giving tours. We suspect the real reason is that they did not have enough passengers, but we'll never know.

Spectacular! This truly was the trip of a lifetime. We came across a pod of orcas enjoying an afternoon feast. The ocean was a full on food festival with dozens of orcas feeding, leaping out of the water and getting frisky! Sophia our tour guide was so informative about their behaviours and the marine life of Monterey Bay. An amazing afternoon!

I had a great time. One whale was really showing us a lot of jumps and tail hanging. Very impressive site. Highly recommend.

Andrew was a great guide and gave us so much information about the whales we saw that day. Jeremiah the deck hand was friendly and very helpful with some poor kids who had gotten sea sick. They were all professional and very funny! It was an awesome experience.

This trip was exciting, from the minute we got on the boat till we got off. We saw sea otters, sea lions and several grey whales. The crew were very hands on, and knowledgeable, keeping us all entertained with stories and facts about both the ocean and cetaceans. We even had a rendition on a sea shanty on return to shore. A marvellous trip. Thank you.

The trip was awesome! The guide told us there was always a chance that we would not see whales but we ended up seeing at least 4 Grey Whales. I loved having a smaller boat. It did not feel crowded and everyone was able to get a good view. The free hot chocolate was a definite bonus.

Absolutely Excellent! Andrew and Kevin are top notch! Will be returning for a third trip, more than likely in about 6 months. Looking forward to seeing the humpbacks and orcas again!

Luckily , saw lots of humpbacks ( several pods of three or four), and sea lions. It was a calm and warm day , so the cruise itself was quite enjoyable. The whales were truly magnificent and we followed them for a good hour. We especially were awed by the size and their tails very impressive! Isiah was very knowledgeable and conversational. He had such a willing manner and welcoming message. Our family including a two year old - we felt very safe . The boat railings are great even for really little kids. They extend all the way solidly to the deck but about where our two year old could comfortably see out, where very sturdy horizontal bars. Perfect! And Isiah immediately got her into a life vest. On the comfort side, there was a restroom on board and plenty of room in the cabin if one preferred that. Also plenty of drinks ( including warm coco) , water, and snacks available if needed. About two and a half hours which was perfect. A wonderful experience.

It was so amazing to see the whales! The crew was very friendly and spoke so passionned about the animals. You can see the respect they have for the whales because they kept their distance without compromising the photo opportunities.

The trip was all we could have asked for. We saw 8-10 humpback whales many times, a few times they surfaced very close to the boat. The guide/naturalist Sophie was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions, and was always making sure everyone had the chance to see and asking if she could help with anything. The captain Danny gave us as smooth a ride as possible, I have gotten very seasick in the past so was concerned- but had no problems at all. Sophie also did a wonderful job of covering what to do to try to prevent motion sickness and made me feel comfortable that I wouldn’t feel stupid if I did get sick. Much appreciated. I’m so glad we chose them.

I got to see whales and dolphins. They give you professional photos of the animals for free, which was quite nice. Isaiah the tour guide was knowledgable about the whales and seemed concerned with making sure everyone had a good time. My only complaint is that they didn't get very close to the whales. Maybe that's for safety reasons, but their advertising shows the whales next to the boat, so that's what I expected. Bring binoculars! Also bring waterproof clothing, because the spray from the ocean will get you pretty wet.

The staff were very informative and friendly. We saw a school of approximately 200 common dolphins. We saw several whales but they were at a distance. I think my expectations were a bit high.
