Absolutely amazing! I booked the Tour in the morning and could choose between driving a quad or a buggy. I chose the buggy. First I was picked up at my hotel by two super friendly locals. We drove 15 minutes till we were in the desert. I got a brief introduction to the vehicle. Adullah - my guide put on my scarf and glasses - as someone who needs glasses I'm always sceptical on wearing protection glasses over my glasses but these fit perfectly. We took off with the buggy when I realized - it will be a private ride - noone will join us because it's off season so noone else booked a tour. After 15 minutes we took a break on a little hill, had a chat, some water and took off again. Abdullah is a really nice guy and we stopped a couple if times so he could explain some sights. After a while we arrived at a desert village, had some tea and some selfmade bread which was both very delicious. After deciling a ride on a camel we drove back to the camp this time not through the hills but on flat ground and that was amazing! I could drive quite fast and do some maneuvers too and I had a blast! Big big thank you to Adullah, the Family in the Desert Village and everyone at Alex Safari. Sören

Great experience to go by quad! . Great sunset from.the mountains. Guide was very kind and helpful during that trip, delicious food after safari. Everyone there were friendly and welcoming.

Last week I went quad safari with Alex. My family and I really enjoyed the tour leader's explanation, the BBQ, the stargazing and of course the driving itself. I will recommend it to everyone, because this is the best option to get to know Egypt well. (Better than with a Dutch travel organization) We will definitely go again next time.

Great quad experience. Hotel pick up was on time and trip to starting location was quick. Ahmed Abou Deef was our guide and provided a great route before and after sunrise. Highly recommend!

Great adventure into the desert. Great guides and a good insight into desert life. A must if you want to see another aspect of the Sahara.

I've been Quad Biking lot's of times in Hurghada-several of the dessert ones, a couple of Makidi Bay ones's-and wanted to try a different quad biking trip. After a bit of research, I came across Alex Safari. The quad biking is in El Gouna and when I said that my hotel was in Makidi Bay, it was suggested that I do the Soma Bay one, as they also had an office/their quads there. From there, I must say the communication was poor. I had to keep prompting the guy for a response/information, etc. I was then referred to I presume 'Alex', who was just as sporadic with his communication. This might have been that it was Eid Al Adha, I've since realised. Anyway, I almost didn't go. Then I thought, even if the trip wasn't all that, I'd spend the rest of the day mooching around Soma Bay. I am so glad I did, as it was one of the best quad trips I've done. I arrived by Uber-I thought that their transfer price was a lot- plus it gave me the flexibility to leave the area when I wanted. Arriving at the office, there were a couple of staff and I thought we were waiting for more people for the trip. I was really hoping there wouldn't be too many or any kids, as this means you go at snails pace. Well, there was only me, so it was literally like a private quad trip. Obviously, I was more than happy with this, and the quadding was fantastic. We covered a great area, went very fast and the guide took lots of pictures with my phone. He even had his own cooler box with complimentary cold drinks. With a couple of stops, we ended up at the sea/rocks/cave. I think this is the same from the Makidi Bay quadding, just they come from the other direction. A few pic's later, n we were off again, zooming around, it was awesome. I would definitely recommend this trip, and I'm sure if you don't want to go at that speed/have children, they'd accommodate appropriately. I then spent a good few hours discovering Soma Bay, which, although very purpose built, had a pretty darn good beach.

We had a great trip with the guide Abdullah. Fun quad drive, great viewings and very friendly people. We felt safe on the quads and well taken care off.

Everything was really good, the price matches the experience. Our tour guide was really friendly, and the quad ride was full of adrenaline. And top it off we had a short interaction and a ride on a camel. 10/10 experience

We had a private quad trip as there hadn't any other tourists booked the morning adventure. It was really beutiful and we enjoyed the trip. As we were only 2 quads it wasn't to dusty. But if you are more people, a scarve to cover your face might be helpful. The quad turns quite hot during the ride, so the recommended long trousers is a must for us. We went really fast and it was a lot of fun. At the beduines we were offered tea and freshly baked bread. On our way back, we stopped to do a short camel ride, which was fun too. Originally we've planned to do the tour in the evening, but as we only booked one day in advanced, the sunset trip was already fully booked. So maybe book at least two days in advance for the sunset trip. Nevertheless the morning tour is nice and you have the afternoon free for other activities.

We were collected from our accommodation in a nice air condition vehicle and headed straight to the quads. We were greeted by our tour guide Ahmed who made us feel safe and at ease. He was very knowledgeable throughout the tour and passionate about what he was showing us. We had a fantastic morning filled with fun driving through the desert, meeting local people and camel riding. We would highly recommend the trip for something a little bit fun and different!

Took my wife on a ATV ride. The tour guide, I believe his name was Mounir spoke multiple languages and emphasized safety. They ensure that you are comfortable riding before hitting hard terrain. They didn’t try to upsell or haggle. Riding time was extensive and didn’t feel like we were taken on a quick ride. They offered us water and coke to avoid heat strokes. ATV was well maintained. The visit with the bedouin tea was underwhelming. It was nice to rest, but we did not have much interaction. Might be due to the language barriers. I just wish they offered a tour for more experienced riders. The guides seemed to have more fun than anyone there. Overall, I recommend the experience, as we were not an overly large group, which is what you look for in these type of activities.

I went with my teenage son and we both enjoyed the tour a lot. The staff was nice, the quad worked well and the duration of the tour was perfect. The scenery of the desert was very interesting. You get a little bit sandy, but not that much.

Great adventure great quad drive and we even saw wild camels. Great instructor it was worth the money for sure.

We had the best time with Alex safari, just with 2 others and it was so good! Such an adventure to drive through the desert with a local, couldn’t be better! If you need to choose one, don’t like any further ;)!

We had our own personal guide for me and my son.it was a day never to forget in the desert our guide was fantastic and so helpful. Had a very nice quad tour through the dry canyon of El Gouna. I had a very friendly guide (Achmed Abu Dave) as well. Very nice!

Went quad biking in the morning with my brother (we are 24 and 18). We had an incredible experience with knowledgeable and very fun guides! We quad biked in a group of about 8 of us through the desert and stopped at a canyon where you can see remnants of corals in the stone. Beautiful views of distant mountains as a backdrop to the desert expanse. Then continued on until we reached a small Bedouin village where we watched traditional bread making and learned of the Bedouin traditions. It was fantastic. The quad biking itself was safe but still very fun and we were able to get up to speeds of around 60km/h if we wanted, whilst all the time being supervised in a safe environment. Overall, would greatly recommend!
