The Shades Tour was a very authentic method to learn more, than someone can learn from books. It‘s to lesen about people and theire lives/storys and much more. Everyone should make this experience.

I heard about Shades Tours a while ago, and when I looked it up I realized it is exactly what I wanted when exploring a city. Rather than just going from tourist site to tourist site it gives you insight into the life reality of one person and with it another layer to the complex question of what it means to live in Vienna. My guide Ralph was amazing - he structured the tour in an interactive way, created conversations between us, shared his story, and most importantly answered all our questions thoughtfully and with patience. He created a space where people could have a conversation and create an exchange on a topic we normally rarely talk about it and where people are often afraid to ask questions - everyone was respectful and considered, and thanks to Ralph, it felt like my whole tour group had the feeling as if they could be vulnerable and open. Definitely can recommend this tour - it will open up a whole new world.

We had a class tour in the 6th district. We were initially toured by a young man whos name I dont remember and an older man named Vlad. They were both very kind and professional, teaching us a lot about Drugs and Addiction. I definitely recommend this, as it sheds light on subjects which are often not spoken about.

My school organised a shades tour for us. With little information we went on the tour and I was blown away. We went on the tour that talked about drug abuse in Vienna. The tour took us to unusual places such as the police station, a pharmacy, squares and parks. The best part of this experience was our tour guide, Vlad. He talked about many interesting topics and was very open to talk about his own experience, this added great value. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing Vienna from a different angle!

I was offered the opportunity to join this tour through university. I went with little expectations beforehand and attended with a small group of students. Vlads tour included educational facts, insights in austrian policy, his own story (which was moving as well as thought provoking), and some interactive back-and-forth with the group. This experience will likely stay with me longer than I can imagine at this time. I would like to recommend these tours for anyone from young adults to all ages.

Vlad was out tour guide. He was extremely intelligent and knowledgeable but modest and humble. We learned about his experience and about the policies and realities of Austria for people with drug problems. It was a moving and informative tour. Very highly recommended!

Was on a tour with Vlad, who told about his life and experiences with drugs and addiction. Unfortunately, the tour had to be cut short, but hopefully we can do the last part another day.

Had the opportunity to take a tour as a part of a MBA study trip. Perrine's story as a founder is a testament of the undying human determination to bring a real change. A resonated with Vlad, our tour guide who was very gracious and encouraged us to ask questions about his past life. He helped us navigate through the other side of Vienna with a lot of information and advice. The tour left a profound impact on me that I wasn't expecting on a tour with friends. I intend to visit Vlad and take another Shades Tour if I happen to pass by Vienna.

This tour was really worth it. I have so much respect for Heribert, who was willing to share his experiences with drug abuse whole-heartedly to people he doesn't know and at the same time, making a detour from his old paths. Having knowledge about drugs is totally different to being able to learn from someone, who had experiences with being exposed to different substances. All our questions were answered. I would like to thank Heribert for being such a great tour guide and for being so open and honest to our group. Also, thank you SHADES TOURS for giving your tour guides new chances. All the best!

Heribert made our tour very enriching. I believe all of us have more or less knowledge about drugs. It is very unique to have a person who would accept to share two hours with unknown people and somehow display very personal circumstances who lead him to have risky behaviours with different types of substances. And to elaborate on painful long periods of his existence, all related to the abuse of drugs. We are very grateful and for sure we would all recommend this tour to anyone. Indeed, I trust everyone knows someone in its surrounding who abuses "something" (does not have to be substances)...

In Erinnerung an diese Tour bleibt mir (und auch meiner Tochter Emma) unser Guide RAIMUND. Mit seiner Lebensgeschichte und den daraus resultierenden Erfahrungen hat er diese Tour sehr bereichert. Ich habe die Offenheit, mit der er über seine Vergangenheit berichtet hat, bewundert. Ich mag den Menschen hinter dem Mensch. Raimund war sehr gut vorbereitet und hat alle unsere Fragen beantwortet. Wir haben als Schulklasse die Shadestour zum Thema "Sucht & Drogen" gebucht. Die Schüler*innen haben gespannt dem Guide Ralf zugehört, der ihnen offen seine Lebensgeschichte erzählt hat, keine Scheu hatte und alle Fragen der Jugendlichen beantwortet hat. Mit statistischen Daten unterlegten Informationen bekamen sie einen Einblick über die verschiedenen Drogen und die Auswirkungen/Konsequenzen sowie über die Substitution. Ralf ist eine beeindruckende Person und wir sind ihm sehr dankbar, dass er uns seine Geschichte erzählt hat. Wir würden die Shades-Tour jederzeit wieder buchen

Die Führung zum Thema Sucht und Drogen war sehr eindrucksvoll! Petra hat genau den richtigen Zugang zu unseren Jugendlichen gefunden und hat es geschafft, diese trotz Kälte und Müdigkeit zwei Stunden zu fesseln. Ich habe großen Respekt vor Menschen, die ihre Erfahrungen so offen teilen und das ist genau, was die Jugendlichen brauchen! DANKE!!
