Our guide was from Florence and she provided us with continuous talking points and historical facts from the aid of her iPad. The crowds during November were small enough that my wife and I didn’t even require the personal hearing device, making our tour personal tour even more personal and special.

I didn't realize until we showed up that I booked a private tour. It is a nice surprise and well worth it. Our tour guide was very friendly and informative. She told us things about the David that I probably wouldn't have gotten from a larger tour group. We also viewed some of the paintings in the Academia together and she shared some interesting facts about them too. The David definitely was a highlight of our trip.

Started our morning with a private tour of David and the museum, It was one of the most informative and immersive tours we went on during our trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the museum and every intricate detail about David and the process used to sculpt him.

She was expertly knowledgeable about all the paintings and sculptures and an expert at navigating through the crowds to highlight specific pieces and give important historical context and information. This tour comes with tickets and a line skip - which was super helpful - as the general entrance queue was extremely busy that afternoon. This tour was very personalized and engaging and well worth booking! Martina asked us questions to gauge our level of familiarity with the different art styles and their transitions (Middle Ages, Renaissance, Manerismo). Martina is an expert at many languages and the history of the museum! Martina also took us on the optional side tour of the Musical Instruments in the exhibit next door - which was a wonderful and fascinating surprise! Martina knew the best viewing perspectives and photo opportunities- which my wife and I were very thankful for - as the museum was crowded on the day of our visit! We would love to go on another guided tour led by Martina on our next trip to Florence!
