A lot of good and new information. The tour guide was from Athens, Georgia but was a Tico and did a great job!!!!! Athens had a great reply to my question about the business being Carbon Neutral. Excellent job.

An amazing tour where you learn a lot about coffee. The guide Andrew is very passionate and enthusiastic. He guided us through the complete process and told us so many thing, you think differently next time you drink coffee. Now coffee tastes so much better then before. Overall a very good experience and worth while to have this experience as part of your vacation to Costa Rica

The Aquiares coffee tour was one of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip! So neat to visit the oldest and largest coffee estate in the country and to learn about their high quality (Rainforest Alliance certified) process. We loved visiting the local Aquiares community, and the coffee was ah-mazing. Andrew was an awesome tour guide too. He took our favorite picture from the entire trip of us standing in front of the beautiful Tree of Life. Highly recommend Aquiares Coffee tour!

The tour was amazing as Cesar and Andrew explained a lot about the process of coffee from the nusery to the shippment as well as the history of the hacienda and the people that work here. The coffe tasting at the and was very delicous and a great final after two hours. We were in a small group - just two cuples - so thete was plenty of time for questions. We would recommend to do this tour when you are in the area.

It was a wonderful experience. Our guide took us through the whole process, very interesting even for the non coffee lovers. He gladly answered all our questions. The little village of Aquiares and the landscape around the farm is astonishing and couldn’t say enough about the quality of the coffee, simply extraordinary

We had a great tour at Aquiares, just outside Turriabla. Ceaser was our most excellent guide. He spoke nearly perfect English and was both interesting and entertaining. He certainly has a thorough grasp of the coffee business. The tour was certainly more than 2 the advertised hours but worth every minute. It was not just about coffee but embraced the development and culture of the Aquiares Community. Most interesting (in a hugely interesting visit) was to see the coffee tasters doing the tasting. Many thanks too to Manuel who was engaging and informative.

It was an amazing trip through the process of coffee. From the planting to tasting the finished coffee. The whole process is explained in detail and understandable. Our guide was friendly and open to all questions. He really lives for his coffee and you can feel it. Since we visited Costa Rica in the off season it was just the two of us, so we had a "private" tour. We really recommend this tour.

Our tour with Tyrone was super nice! He didn’t rush any at all and made a lot of time for us in his busy schedule. He has a deep knowledge of nature and shared tons of information about coffee plants, sustainable agriculture and the involvement of the company in the community. The small tasting in the end was tasty and more than generous!

Amazing tour !! Aquiares coffee farm is located in a really beautiful area. The guide was fantastic and we learned so much. Only locals work there, it’s a real community. Huge consciousness of the environment as well. I loved that tour and would recommend to anyone !

We arrived 2 hours early at the building of Aquiares and our guide invited us to come with him to the Aquiares Hacienda for the time in between. There we could rest from our journey at this beautiful place and were served fresh coffee which they didn’t want us to pay for. Our tour was brilliant: coincidentally it was just the two of us for the tour at 2pm. So to say we had a private tour. It was very interesting and informative and entertaining and authentic. Our guide was very likeable and took all the time we needed for the questions so that in the end we were there for nearly 3 hours instead of the 2 it usually takes. Something that might distinguish the tour at the Aquiares facility is that they both have automated processes for the fully washed beans they produce but they also produce small batches of specialty coffee where they ferment the beans or take them through specific handmade processes. So one can see the whole bandwith of coffee production and all steps in the process. All in all it was a great experience and probably the best tour we had so far in our stay. I can totally recommend it.

Excellent tour (and tour guide Nicole). Very informative and full of fascinating details about the history of coffee and culture surrounding it. We also had excellent weather, so it made everything that bit nicer. On the down side, some extra safety features could be added to the steps and railings going up to the Mirador, as my father slipped and fell down. This was more circumstantial, but still a point to make everything extra safe. Five out of five however!

We had a great experience with Wilmer who was very friendly and informative about coffee, from seed to the cup. He spent extra time with us so we fully understood the whole process. Aquiares is a special community that revolves around coffee production and a must-see if you are in the area.

They are passionate about their craft and are excited to share the coffee experience with others. We learned a lot and enjoyed our time during the tour, it went almost 3 hours. We started with seeing the plants and plantation and then saw the entire process from unloading the raw berries to packing the dried beans. Definitely worth it.
