It was a very enjoyable walk. Lots of Albanian history. And wonderful insights to the communist times.

This is the firt time we took a free tour. We was a little skeptical about it. We ended up very happy. Our tour guide gave us plenty of information about Tirana history. 3000 yrs of history into 2 hours walk. I highly recommend you to take one. I really like to fact that tips or comoensation is not required or pressured. It totally depends on your satisfaction and economic ability. Our tour guide worked hard and deserved a fair appreciation. Things you should prepare if you take a tour in Summer: Comfortable clothes and shoes Hat Sunglasses Plenty of water Sunscreen And, an open minded. You will be surprised.

It was a very easy walking tour of Tirana. Also gives you the history of Albania without feeling like you are in a history class. Nice break for coffee/tea included!

Truly amazing experience. I would 1000% recommend to anyone visiting Tirana or Albania in general. I came to the city for one week to expand my cultural education, and boy did I make the right choice in this tour. I saw things in the city that I would never have even noticed. I was shown a café with a historical part of its own. I was recommended a book which I am now sat reading. I was brought through a bunker and talked through the history of the communist period and stories from someone who lived it. I had a discussion about Albanian culture and no question was a bad one. All answered with kindness, honesty and an incredible intellect. My only negative is that now I’ve done it, I can’t experience those “wow” moments again! Do it! Sign up! You will not regret it!

Eri was simply fantastic. This tour is a must do on a short trip to Albania. We learnt so much about the country's history but Eri brought it to life with personal stories and anecdotes. He took his time talking us through everything and at no point did the tour feel rushed. Highly highly recommended.

The guide was university educated.His English and grasp of Albanian history was amazing.Telling us anecdotes about his family life under Communism was very illuminating.

We did the tour at 10am with Gazi, he was very informative with great additional private anecdotes to give a clear explanation af Albanian life through the changes. This was a very good way to familiarise yourself with Tirana prior starting independent exploration. If you like it tip well👍

Very good and interesting tour. The tour went from good to great thanks to our guide, Eri. He showed us different sights and historical places with a large amount of humor.

We went on the free walking tour of Tirana in late June 2022. Eri was an excellent guide--excellent information, responding to questions and his own personal history of communism and its fall---really really interesting, fun, and engaging. I learned a lot about Albania and Tirana. Thanks, Eri. It's a completely free tour--which is unbelievable, but I hope we are all tipping them well--they deserve it!

We had a very knowledgeable guide who gave us a great tour of the city, and helping us learn about the history of Albania, but also the culture and mindset of the people throughout the difficult times. We really enjoyed it and would recommend to everyone visiting.

Guide (Eri) spoke excellent English, was very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. We left with a much greater appreciation and understanding of the city we’re in and what is around us. Couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended.

Top tour with a top guide. The information was always given with a touch of humour and the guide was really nice. We got to know a lot of the religious diversity of the city and about the communist regime that ruled here.

I took the tip based free walking tour in the morning, and then the paid Communist tour in the afternoon, and highly recommend both! The first gives you a great overview of Tirana, and then the second drills down deeper into its communist history. You see and learn different things about the city and Albania itself, which help you to understand this complicated country. Make a point to do both and you will be glad. A good use of your time here. Gazi speaks excellent English and is a terrific guide, willing to answer any questions with honesty and humor!

It was a brilliant tour. Gazi was a great guide - really knowledgeable but more importantly personal, flexible and humorous. We learned a lot and got a sense of things here. Really recommended. 

The tour was interesting focusing mainly on the communist time. Our tour guide, Gazi, was engaging and clear in his narratives. I just felt that there was so much much more about the beautiful Albania that could have been integrated in the tour. Like culture, lifestyle and possibly a bit of pre-Communist history.
