Great boat trip - safely steered by Oli and narrated by Onno. Lots of great information about Amsterdam and good company on board too. Great hospitality with cold drinks and snacks with blankets for the knees when it cooled a little at the end of our trip.

Captain Onno was great fun. We really enjoyed the commentary and had fun with the other passengers on the boat. Even with the iffy weather it was great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise with our skipper, Onno! Some of his lines were a bit hokey, but he made the trip a lot of fun. We felt like we were able to see a lot of Amsterdam and it was really beautiful. Drinks and snacks were plentiful and the mood on the boat was quite relaxed and enjoyable.

Onno was fantastic, even with the rain! Informative and GREAT CREW. We had plenty of drinks and food to keep us fueled up and it was wonderful seeing the sights of Amsterdam

Captain Jack’s canal tour was exceptional. Through our own fault, we got lost despite receiving excellent directions. Anyway, our boat sailed away and I honestly was disappointed but we should have give ourselves an extra 20 minutes in case we did get lost. (I think it is better to drop GPS coordinates as we missed the precise location by literally one bridge(there are so many bridges!)Anyway, the dock scheduler was very kind and was able to get us on the next boat. (In April rescheduling is difficult as there are so many tourists.) I appreciated the effort Captain Jack and his crew went to help us enjoy the beautiful city of Amsterdam.

Disappointing experience on this canal cruise. Our captain (not Jack) was hard to hear and didn’t provide great or interesting information. The boat is not covered and it had rained on/off all day, so the seats and blankets were wet. It was unusually cold and even colder during the cruise. It rained (again) and the cheese got wet and it rained in my drink. Yes, you are told up front the boat is not covered and we took the risk - it did not pay off and I wouldn’t take the risk again with so many other great options available that have covered boats. It was definitely not worth it.

We LOVED our canal tour with Albert. My wife and I are traveling with both sets of parents (one of which is 93!), and this tour was comfortable for everyone, fun, informative, and fully stocked with wine, beer, sodas, cheese and sausages, and lots of snacks. They had padded seats, blankets (since it was bit cold), and umbrellas in case we needed them (it’s April and so it’s rainy off and on). Albert was so nice, knowledgeable, funny, and helpful. The smaller, open top boat was also amazing (especially since the weather cooperated today!). Highly recommend this tour!

I’ve done the canal cruise before, a couple of years ago and on a big, long boat. Today’s canal boat tour with Captain Jacks was by far the best experience, super friendly Captain Ko and a new Captain Tim, equally friendly with lots of stories. If you want a tour with a group of new friends, do this adventure.

Was pouring rain and sleeting and the captain refused to refund my money. I told him we would not be going even though we went down to the area to find the boat. This particular boat was recommended by a friend that’s why I booked with captain Jack. Very disappointed he wouldn’t cancel and refund my money. Will book elsewhere the next trip

Knowledgeable and personable guide combined with the beauty of Amsterdam made this a great experience. It was a terrific introduction to the city for us in Day 1 of our trip.

We had such a good time on our Captain Jack tour on 4/19. It was a bit rainy so we had to have the cover on he boat but Captain Onno provided plenty of fun history and made the trip truly special! I would highly recommend to any friends traveling to Amsterdam. Captain Onno was the best!
