Bruno & David were an amazing pair of guides. They asked us to reschedule to do rain-related safety concerns on the day we had planned, but we were able to go with them two days later. As first time canyoners, my partner and I felt safe and informed thanks to their expertise and explanations. But they also had us laughing the whole time! We were so sad for the day to end. 100% reccomend! Our favorite day of our trip.

We have been lucky enough to take tours with Active Blueberry twice, several years ago when my kids were young and now that they are teens, and both times the tours have been amazing! Every single guide is funny, friendly, and professional! There is no way you cannot have an amazing experience with them! Without any hesitation, I absolutely recommend you book your canyon with Active blueberry! We look forward to returning and doing another trip with them soon!!

The guides were very patient with my 50+ old parents. Got to do a jump, rappels, and a zipline. We got upgraded to a longer tour at a different location due to conditions at our original location. Clear communication regarding the location change and we got photos/videos of our tour shortly after. Highly recommend, even in the rain/cold! Great value and an unforgettable experience!

This expedition exceeded our expectations. The Azorean Active Blueberry crew was fantastic at keeping it fun while ensuring safety. The scenery was spectacular! Well worth the money and time.

Our family of four went on the canyoning trip; we were all different levels of ability and confidence in canyoning, but this was a perfect trip for everyone. The guides did a great job of encouraging the group, and were a great deal of fun. A great adventure for families of teenagers. We also were a little worried about it being cold in February, but all the gear provided kept us warm.

Had a wonderful time Canyoning with these guys. Our original date was moved because of bad weather and their concern for our safety. It was still raining the day we moved to but I was so glad it did not cancel because we had a fantastic time, regardless of the rain! The guys were fun and made sure we all were having a great time. This is truly the first and only TripAdvisor review I have ever written. Didin't feel the need until now. I have never heard of "canyoning" but more of a challenging nature trek up a canyon, over rocks, past waterfalls with a little rappelling, a rock slide or two and jumping into waterfall pools. I need to to begin by mentioning my age. I'm 75 and in relatively decent shape. The canyoning experience was definitely a challenge for my body but Bruno & Carolina made the hike thoroughly enjoyable and were ALWAYS conscious of customers' needs and safety. They were constantly making sure I was ok and gave me options along the way. The "tour" was more of an adventure but both guides were incredibly knowledgable in all phases of hiking rough terrain as well as repelling/abseiling (optional). There are tons of levity as the laughter is constant. If you don't like encouragement, high 5's, hugs, fist bumps and other means of positive praise, then this tour is not for you. These two guides are not only knowledgeable but warm and friendly but watch out for Bruno! This guy could replace the "energizer bunny" battery commercial in North America. his battery never goes runs out! He is a non-stop cheerleader with continual applause and encouragement. I should conclude the scenery of waterfalls (several of them), lava rock and flora and fauna was breathtaking. The air is fresh and so is the water! I also learned much about the Azorean culture through Bruno ands Carolina. They were very receptive to imparting their knowledge of their island(s). The wetsuit gear is fully provided as is the drive to the destination. The trek is somewhat arduous but Bruno and Carolina made it easier. Safety was their main concern. The day I went was not crowded and I never felt rushed. There are opportunities to jump anywhere from 3-7 meters (10' - 20') into the waterfall pool but strictly optional. You may want to bring your own water but I drank from the numerous natural running water coming off the lava rocks. A waterproof or a water resistant camera is helpful but the guide do have a go-pro and take many photos. I just cannot believe there could be another tour operator who have guides like Bruno and Carolina. It was like having two tour/activities in one. Laughter, comedy, great company and marvelously stunning scenery. Thanks again, Azorean Actice Bluberry!

Paulo, Bruno and the rest of the team were amazing guides. My friend and I enjoyed this experience. All the equipment was clean and in excellent condition. We felt very comfortable and the team guided us through the entire process even though we had no canyoning experience prior to this. Highly recommend!

A fantastic experience. The Azores Active Blueberry team create a nice atmosphere. Good team with whom we had a great adventure discovering the Ribeira dos Caldeiroes canyon. To finish, the team offers a good Blueberry juice. I recommend you.

The place was amazing but the magic was the Staff like Bruno's electric energy and Esther with her caring nature and excitement! The staff totally took care of everyone. Weather was stellar too. We couldn't have asked for a better way to spend 5 hours on this island of beauty and adventure. Bravo! I'll be back!

This might be the best tour in the Azores. We did 4 (through Viator) during our 1.5 weeks in the Azores and while they were all amazing in their own ways, this one stood out far above the rest. Super fun guides make sure you stay safe but have an exhilarating adventure. No experience needed, but it's still a ton of fun for people who do a lot of this type of thing (we like to hike/ski/rock climb). The tour company provides everything you need, although we brought a GoPro to capture some of the fun. Would recommend to anyone!
