Bas was our guide and he was great. His historical information was really interesting and how he related the history to what we were seeing was unique. Perfect length tour.

We had a great time on this tour. Our guide Gunnar was very knowledgeable and taught us some very interesting facts about Amsterdam.

Overall: Easy to locate, and getting outfitted with bikes was quick. Everybody booked for the tour showed up early, so our guide, Juris (sp?), led us out a little early, which was nice. He did a good job talking us quickly through the realities of riding a bike in Amsterdam - yielding, watching for multiple directions, etc, so we felt fairly well prepared for that. Our guide, Juris (really worried I’m not spelling that right): He was a very knowledgeable and interesting source of historical and cultural information for Amsterdam, and I was very impressed with the talks he gave us at each stop, and his interest in all of us. He shared with us what he’s studying at university, and you can tell that he really cares about the Netherlands and wants to share good content with everyone. He was also just a very kind and engaging person, which is always wonderful in a tour guide. Fitness level and operating the bike: I will say that if you are not very comfortable on a bike to begin with, this is not going to be a comfortable tour for you. We’ve taken many bike tours, and this one assumes a slightly more advanced level of competence on a bike, particularly given how incredibly crowded Amsterdam is with cyclists. Having said that, we knew going in that we’d need to be extra alert while riding, and it was fine. Juris was very conscientious about ensuring that we were all handling the traffic okay, and if we were separated while crossing busy lanes of traffic (it happened a few times), he was good about stopping and waiting so no one got lost. The actual tour and where we went: this is a great overview tour of Amsterdam, especially if you have limited time in the city and want to see a lot and get a general feel for the place. The description of where you stop, in the activity extended description, is very good - you’ll know exactly where you’ll start, stop and end up, so that’s useful for understanding what you’ll see. The stop and break we had in the park was perfect - enough time to rest from the bikes, grab a quick bike to eat and something to drink - and then get back on our way. We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves. NOTE: we took this tour on a Sunday morning, which I think was probably advantageous as far as the level of traffic we encountered. It was a fun bike ride to view the city. Our guide Philip took us around the neighborhoods and told us the history of Amsterdam. All you need is to dress according to the weather because you will ride rain or shine! We had to purchase some raincoats at their shop before we ride because it was raining at the beginning of our tour. Overall it was a lot of fun and worth the time and money!

Basie was a brilliant tourguide. He is well informed of the history of Holland and the rile it played worlwide. He reads his tourist well and connected with everyone. The tour was one if the best experiences I have had per bicycle. We have seen the most famous landmarks in Amsterdam. Picture perfect opportunities!

Our guide Bas was excellent both in his presentation/knowledge and bike navigation through many top sights in Amsterdam. We also lucked out having amazing weather to go with this top notch tour!

Our guide (a local student from Amsterdam) gave us lots of local knowledge and some great detail about the history of the areas we visited. She was really informative and we enjoyed riding through the various districts of Amsterdam which we would not have seen on our own. We feel like we have had a really good ‘taste’ for the city, not just the main tourist sites.

Great way to see and learn about Amsterdam. Bike ride was perfect as a small group of approximately 7 people on a less busy bike/people day in the city.

We had the best time touring the city with our wonderful guide Juna She was very informative about the city and the history. We had some rain but it wasn’t bad as they recommended you dress for the weather and we did. The city was part of the tour was interesting but the park was beautiful and a nice break to get to know our guide and fellow riders. Thanks for a great tour.

Great tour. We were taken through many different neighborhoods, each with a different history lesson. I definitely recommend taking the bike tour in the morning.

wonderful experience getting to see the city from a locals perspective. Learning the history, getting to know which areas to go to, how the biking works in the city, plus meeting other tourists to share this amazing experience. A great little tour on a very wet day. Our guide, Bas was very knowledgeable, and took us to the parts of town that we’d not have seen without him. The first part of the tour was more stopping than riding, and vice versa in the second half. The stop at the cafe in the park was welcome. The cafe serves beer and coffee very quickly. Cooked food took too long to wait for, but there are great packets of crisps (chips). We were running a couple of minutes late on our arrival to the tour, and we were kindly allowed to leave our small suitcases at the bike base. All in, a great little tour. Thanks to Bas our guide.

Everything was memorable especially the cycling as I never cycle. Peter our guide was amazing and patient and so fit for a man of his years, not to mention an encyclopedia of Dutch knowledge. Felt in safe hands with him leading the pack!!

Biking in AMS can be busy, chaotic but with a guide the experience was much better! I learned a lot - more fun than by reading:)
