Mostapha Ortega was an outstanding tour guide , who showed immense knowledge of Egyptology and was patient and willing to share . He and the driver Mr Nasir were very professional.

Must do if you have limited days in Cairo. The guide Ahmed and driver Mohamed was great. .safe , beautiful trip, personal photos and more.

We had one day in Cairo and our guide Sam made it count. The pickup was right on time and we were in Giza before the heat of the day. Sam’s english was excellent and he was very knowledgeable. He was also able to link the history of Cairo into what we had seen in Luxor as he used to guide there as well. We feel we have seen the best of ancient Cairo and can experience contemporary culture this evening

We had an absolutely fantastic time on our tour! Our guide was Gamal, and our driver Hazm. It was my first time to Egypt, and from the first moment they made our group feel totally welcome. Gamal was highly knowledgeable, constantly had new facts to share about everything we were seeing, and was able to answer all the questions we had. He also got us up to speed on useful local phrases, and gave us advice on interacting with merchants that has continued to be helpful through our time in Egypt. Moreover, our guides managed to organize the day so that we spent less than 20 minutes waiting in lines across all of our stops — including the pyramids and National Museum. We were brought to some top-notch shops, a lunch with a beautiful view, and several other cool sites. Hazm also did a perfect job, staying attentive and helpful for all vehicle entries/exits, on crowded and narrow streets. This was a stellar experience. Our group only had one day in Cairo, so I was nervous that we might leave unsatisfied — on the contrary, I could not be more happy with how our limited time was spent. Our guide Sherif, and driver George couldn’t have been better. Good humoured and knowledgeable, and a pleasure to spend a day with. Saw all of the main sites and learned a lot via Sherif’s extensive knowledge.

I had a very good experience booking this private tour. Mostafa and Hanoi (sorry if I mispelled the names!) looked after me all the time and adapted the tour to my personal preferences. This way I could spend more time visiting the pyramids and the museum as I was not that interested in the Bazar. The camel ride was great too. 5 stars for this amazing team!

This was an amazing experience!! My guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. He knew more than most people would generally tell you. At our lunch spot he even paid for my drink which was greatly appreciated! I would definitely recommend

A life-threatening experience that could have ended horribly. We were brought to a restaurant by the tour guide, but little did we know at the time that it was a coordinated stick-up. From the moment we sat down at the restaurant, brought to us by the tour guide, an aggressive stranger invaded our space as I sat with my wife on our vacation. His eyes and face filled with intense anger, speaking a language which my wife and I do not understand. We were in a foreign country, with a tour guide that set us up. I was in fear for my life and didn’t know what was happening or what was about to happen. Our tour guide, being the only one between us that speaks Arabic, exclaimed that I needed to pay an extra $30 USD cash for picking us up at our hotel. The sense of violation intensified, leaving me and my wife feeling utterly vulnerable and targeted in a foreign land. I booked this tour multiple weeks in advance, our pick-up at our hotel was well known beforehand, but they wait the day of the tour to pull an orchestrated stick-up. I felt violated and helpless. My mind rushing and remembering that I read every fine print, and with every ride we took and understanding of their currency, it never amounted to $30 USD for pickup. I was helpless in a foreign country, being violated, being set up by a tour guide, a tour I booked on TripAdvisor. I didn’t have cash on me. I told my tour guide that I didn’t have cash but would oblige and pay with my card. He quickly declined and demanded he take me to the nearest ATM. The situation escalated rapidly and I was driven miles away to an ATM. During the car ride we were in a constant fear for our life. Once we arrived at the ATM I felt a sinking feeling of helplessness as I stood at the ATM, the tour guide’s presence looming over me like a dark cloud. Every keystroke felt like a betrayal of my trust, a surrender to the demands of a situation that could have turned dangerous at any moment. It wasn’t just about the money; it was about the sheer terror of being at the mercy of strangers in a country far from home. The fear and humiliation we endured during this tour have left scars that may never fully heal. This betrayal of trust, coupled with the orchestrated confrontation at a restaurant, only deepened our sense of being taken advantage of. The emotional toll of this experience cannot be overstated. It’s a stark reminder that beneath the façade of tourist attractions lies a world of danger and exploitation. By sharing our story, I hope to shed light on the darker side of travel and urge others to exercise caution and to NEVER book this tour.

Sharif and his driver team was excellent. Driver drove very safe and was always on time. Sharif was so knowledge of all places to be visited and was a terrific guide. I will definitely use him again in future.

The experience was amazing, we were shown by Mohammed and George, they were the best tour guides ever! Super knowledgeable, fun, engaging, helpful and made the trip twice the fun. They also volunteered to take photos of us everywhere. I will never forget this experience.

Really great experience. Cairo is an amazing city and Mido makes it even better.... Very friendly and helpful since my arriving in Cairo airport till my departure. For sure I recommend it.

To start with, both the driver and the guide were really good and knowledgeable. The car was impeccable and they were very punctual. Everything went great until the end of the tour. This is literally one of the most expensive tours for this circuit and i chose it because of the length which was supposed to be a full day (8-10hr) tour. Nevertheless after 5 hours they were taking me back to the hotel. We spoke to the driver and guide and both became really upset and called the agency. And, of course, they charged us more money because we wanted to go to the Bazaar as it is stated to be included on the tour. We were really upset about it and honestly, felt scammed. For the price, is definitely not worth it. You better book the tours directly on your hotel or once in Cairo (which i did once this fiasco happened) and you will save money! Trust me.
