Our guide was so informative and he told us so much about the area, racing, and thoroughbred horses and Quarter horses. We all felt safe and in good hands.

The farms were beautiful to drive by. The statue in the middle of the road was very impressive it would have been better if we could’ve been out of van to take a better picture but it was in middle of the road. The racetrack and watching the horse’s train was the best part of tour. The 2nd barn was also interesting and great to see.

From the moment we met Daniel our guide to the end of the tour we were given a lot of interesting facts about the horse farms in the area, about Lexington & about Kentucky. He is a world of knowledge & he made our tour fun & an experience to remember always! Daniel is a professional singer & serenaded us during the trip & as our tour ended! Well worth the memories!

I recently moved to Versailles, Kentucky and ran into Vickie at brunch one day. She told me about Thoroughbred Heritage Horse Farm Tours, so when my best friend came to visit from Washington, I booked a tour and requested Vickie as our guide. It was nice to let someone else do the driving, and Vickie is both extremely knowledgeable and quite amusing. I will continue to let Thoroughbred Heritage Horse Farm Tours show my family and friends around when they visit and will always request Vickie. Who knows? Maybe I will learn enough from her to apply as a tour guide myself when I retire.

So glad we did this tour. Our guide, Daniel, was great and made this experience so much fun! We learned so much and enjoyed the beautiful drive through the horse farm countryside. I must say Kentucky is one of the prettiest states I have visited.

I recommend this tour we were lucky enough to have Ernie, a retired jockey/horse trainer born and raised in Lexington. He was an absolute delight and is a wealth of knowledge. I can’t say what my favorite part was because I was fascinated with the entire tour. Thank you Ernie, Dennis and Rebecca Hall

Even though the weather did not cooperate, we enjoyed our horse farm tour. Our driver Ernie is a retired former jockey, so he knows a lot about the horses, the farms, and horse racing. We were not able to tour Keenland because April is racing season, but the company substituted Old Friends Farm, a farm for retired champions and other thoroughbreds. It was a pleasure to meet Silver Charm who is an old old friend and former Kentucky Derby winner. The connection between our guide and this horse was special. We also enjoyed the tour of Magdalene (sp?) horse farm and seeing their mares and foals. We learned a lot about horse racing on this tour.

Very informative and our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable. Learned so much and was able to see a foal born the night before. Others were a week old. Toured the race track at Keeneland and a drove past many horse farms.

The entire tour was very interesting and informative. Having to add additional explanation is very annoying.

First stop of the day seeing and touching both mares and colts. Mike our guide showed us several of the well known farms and so much history about the area. Final stop was several Derby winners that are now living their final days enjoying green pastures. Thanks again for a great day Mike.

I thought we would actually visit more farms, but all we did was drive by. Tour was supposed to be three hours, but it was short maybe because of rain? Stood at Keeneland for a long time and watched the practices, fun. Went to a farm to pet the foals. Great tour for kids, but not much factual information. My daughter LOVED it.

Daniel was a wonderful tour guide! He was very educational, informative, interesting, and witty. He was very cooperative with having several guests that had mobility issues in our group. The tour was amazing and we would highly recommend.
