Gorgeous Sunday morning walking in and around the beautiful Oakland Cemetery. Regular guide, Kristen, and apprentice guide, Paris, were extremely knowledgeable about the famous and infamous “residents” as well as the history of early Atlanta. The food at all 3 stops was delicious with generous portions.

Oakland Cemetery was beautiful with the azaleas in full bloom! Kristin and Paris were both extremely knowledgeable about the history of Atlanta and the residents in the cemetery. The food portions at Six Feet Under, Still Fire and The Tart were quite generous as well as delicious! It was an amazing way to spend a lovely Sunday!

I'd like to start off by saying Courtney, our tour guide was a gem. She is so sweet, informative, and helpful. She made our tour feel very intimate and we had a ball. Her energy was amazing and I would definitely recommend this tour if you're interested in FOOD and HISTORY!!!! The food was soooo good from both restaurants and the cocktail was an added sweet treat. This is definitely worth your while!

As it turned out, my wife and I had a private tour with Arielle. The food was delicious and the drink was tasty. We had sampled the Little Tart bakeshop the day before & were not disappointed - stellar job! Arielle was funny, knowledgeable, and, - we loved the laminated sheets with the photographs. The weather was perfect & the tour was a leisurely stroll. This was our first trip to Atlanta & the city did not disappoint.

Kristen and Paris were great guides, leading us around Grant Park and the Oakland Cemetery while illuminating us with an entertaining and interesting history of Atlanta. The three food stops were fabulous and the portions were generous as well. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide Ariel was exuberant & knowledgable. The historical content about early Atlanta was Interesting. The tour of the Oakland Cemetery hit the high spots. The food was more than a tasting & delicious-2 seafood servings at Six Feet Under, pizza slice & crostini at the Firepit, & scrumptious cookie & turnover to bring home from the Little Tart Bakery. Also had My Little Piny cocktail”unexpectedly” tasty. Even though we live in Atlanta, we are planning another Unexpected Atlanta tour soon.

We highly recommend this tour—great food and beautiful cemetery to walk through. Beware—take your own photos! Our guide was great and took several photos of us but we never received them! Please reach out and get our photos to us!

We love walking food tours as a way to learn about local history, eat yummy food and get our steps in, and our tour with Ariel hit on all cylinders! This was our second tour with Unexpected Atlanta, and while the MLK History Tour offered meatier intellectual content, this tour made up for it with delicious tastings. A great way to spend a few hours with a fun group of people.

Loved this tour. We are locals and went for a birthday celebration. Kristin, our guide, was engaging and great leading us through good food and interesting history. Fun Saturday with friends!

Leigh was our tour guide and she did an excellent job of keeping my family engaged by providing interesting details about the history of Oakland Cemetery, some of its inhabitants and much of how Atlanta became the city it is today. We also learned about the restaurants and the people and stories that make them special. We highly recommend this experience and could not have asked for a better guide!

This was such a fun and interesting activity. Courtney was so much fun, very accommodating. She was quite energetic but didn't push us. Learned so much more than expected. The food was great and full portions. We couldn't eat it all. Took the pastries to go. Highly recommend this tour for both visitors and locals.

Wonderful tour. Courtney was our guide and her enthusiasm for the history of Atlanta and her love of the neighborhood made the event all the more special. The tour starts with a food tasting at the Six Foot Under restaurant. To me, food tasting brings to mind small bite size nibbles but here we got a sampling that was anything but small, and was delicious. We needed our graveyard tour to walk off our full bellies. So, just like the sample size, the tour continued to be so much more than I expected. Hearing the very interesting history of Atlanta and then being able to visit the graves of many of the individuals that you had just learned about made it all the more memorable. Even the customer service after the event was exceptional. During the tour, Courtney took group photos and said she would send them to us. When I didn’t receive them, I called the company and asked that they resend them. Still didn’t receive them and was very surprised when the company called me and said the email had bounced back and did I have another email address they could try. And then Brandy stayed on the phone with me until I could confirm that I had received them this time. Customer service at its best!

Joy was very knowledgeable, personable &sweet. The tour was great, it’s nice trying different foods in this type of setting, the cemetery was also very nice. Always enjoy trips booked through Viator!
