From the start, it was clear that G wanted to ensure that everyone was comfortable and that we would maximize the trip by seeing as much as possible, even if the fog might interfere. Because of his dedication and experience, he ensured that we saw each site clearly and he helped take pictures for the group at every stop. Lastly, and most memorably, he helped us locate and purchase an item we’d forgotten to bring from home, going out of his way to obtain it and trusting that we’d reimburse him for the cost. I can’t say enough about the quality of the tour and how safe, fun, and helpful G was. Thank you for making our day and lifetime memories of your beautiful island!!

My sister and I went on this tour with strangers. Our tour guide was Catie. She was amazing. By noontime we all become best friends and laughed and learned the rest of the day. Such wonderful memories with these people as we enjoyed breathtaking vista. Priceless🩷

This was our second tour with Joao and it was excellent again. He suggested ideal photo taking spots and we got so many great photos. Lagoa do Fogo was one of my favourite highlights and I'd love to come back for a longer hike in the area. So many stunning views and we even saw dolphins in the ocean while eating lunch!

Really informative and relaxed trip around west side of island. 𝕁𝕠𝕒𝕠 looked after us all and brought it all to life!!! Nice to know some of the stories and history of the place. Great lunch too!

I only gave this a one star because unfortunately our flight was unable to land the day before so we did not arrive until the morning of the tour, after the meeting time so I did not get to go on the tour, plus no refund :( since I could not cancel.

An excellent experience with an excellent host Katsia. We had a great tour that seemed to pass very quickly. Every stop was better than the last. We were sorry to see the day go by so quickly. We seem to see everything just ahead of the clouds and the fog. The weather was excellent, and the drive was extremely pretty with many sites to see. It's hard to judge what was better than the last and it makes us want to come back to visit the island at least once or twice more.

We loved Mr G. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We loved the pace of the tour. The lunch was wonderful!

We loved the crater lake and were lucky enough that the clouds were not covering it. We also liked the blue and green lakes. All the landscape and towns were beautiful. We really liked our guide Gonzalo. He was informative, knowledgeable of the area and had a great sense of humor. We really enjoyed our lunch in the little restaurant by the water. It was a great day!

Returning for another adventure with João was a delight! On the West full-day tour with lunch, we were treated to an amazing sight of dolphins during our meal break. The food was exceptional. João's knowledge of São Miguel continued to impress, revealing hidden treasures and capturing stunning photos. Despite my tendency for car sickness, I felt comfortable throughout the entire tour. João even recommended places near our hotel. Meeting a curious cow added a delightful touch. João's warmth and care made this tour unforgettable, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

I had the most awesome introduction to São Miguel island thanks to this very dedicated team and especially Hugo, who was our guide for the West Tour. Even though some of the views were hidden by fog, Hugo's presence was like the sun shining above us during the whole day. It was so much fun to hear his stories about this magical place. I felt like I have learnt a ton from him. He took care of all of the group members in a very friendly and attentive way. He was super helpful in answering our questions, giving us many cool recommendations and tips and taking great pictures. I'm grateful that I could spend my first full day on São Miguel island under his wings. It's such a special adventure to remember!

I had great time on the West tour of the island with Joao. We got to see many nice and unique places, Joao took great shots of the travelers in every insta spot , we had a lunch stop for an excellent food and drinks, during the ride we learned interesting facts not only about Sao Miguel island but also other Azores islands . Joao was taking care of each and every traveller all the way from pick up until drop off. I recommend this tour to everyone visiting beautiful Sao Miguel.

Our guide was Catia and we can’t say enough great things about how much we enjoyed our tour with her. We saw all the highlights of the West side of the island, without the stress of driving and navigating. It was our first day and a great start to our vacation. Catia gave us the history of the island, tips on other places to visit and a really fun day with our grandsons.

The tour was excellent! Our guide João was a wealth of information. And despite the poor weather, he was able to improvise and make the tour even better. Highly recommend this tour.

We did the West and East tour with Pure Azores and we had Katia as our guide for both tours. She was absolutely incredible, very informative and so fun to have as a guide. Both tours are really well done. The West tour has more scenic lookouts and quick stops (this tour is also more weather dependent so try to go on a nice day!) while the East has more diversity with longer stops (hot springs, botanical gardens). If the weather isn’t great in the morning, the guides will try to come back to the lookouts if the weather gets better which is really appreciated. The food options on both tours were fantastic and lots of vegetarian options and all meals include dessert and coffee. Would recommend using their company for tours around the Azores!
