Recommended by friends and they were right. My wife and I had a 7 day tour that was fantastic. Youseff and his supporting guides were so knowledgeable and the organization and experience, especially the trip into the desert was so memorable. Would highly recommend Morocco Countryside Tours. An absolutely amazing trip! Our driver, Youssef and guide, Mustapha were excellent and provided us with a once in a lifetime experience. We travelled with 4 young children, who by the end of the trip, were sad to part ways with their new friends. They both made our family’s time in Morocco so very memorable. Their knowledge of the area, culture, and caring ways made us feel very welcomed. From scheduling, to arrival, touring around, and departing Morocco Countryside Tours made everything extremely easy. We recommend them highly!

We had a wonderful time exploring Morocco and celebrating milestone birthday of a dear friend with Morocco countryside tours. Mustafa, our guide accompanied us everywhere and took care of our comfort, food and site seeing activities. He went above and beyond taking care of our needs and ensured we get best experience. He was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited - Casablanca - Fes - Atlas Mountains - Ziz Valley - Sahara desert - Erg Chebbi - Todra George - Dades valley - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Marrakech - Casablanca. He took us to best unique and ethnic shopping places for Tagine, rose products, pottery, argon oil and also bargained for us. Said, our tour operator also came to meet us at the moonlight desert camp. Highly recommended for anyone planning to explore Morocco!

Simply amazing! We booked an 8-day tour with Said for 2 families flying in and out of Marrakech. I couldn’t be more pleased with the planned itinerary and we got to experience everything we had hoped to. We toured the Marrakech Medina our first day getting to see the Souk, monkeys, snakes, and spice shops. Then we began our travels to the desert. It is a lot of driving out to Erg Chebbi but totally worth it! We had many stops along the way and got to experience many Moroccan foods. The Riads and desert camp were all beautiful and well appointed. The desert time was the highlight with a camel ride at sunset, ATV riding through the desert with a sand boarding stop. The camp was very comfortable and small, so it felt quite personal. Mustapha was our incredible guide who met us at the airport and stayed with us until he dropped us back at the airport. He was a true delight to have along for the week with lots of details about historical and cultural information about Morocco. We had so much fun with Mustapha and felt well cared for the entire week. I would recommend Morocco Countryside tours to everyone!

We are extremely grateful to Morocco Countryside Tours for giving us a beautifully crafted tour of of Morocco. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (13 and 11), and our driver and guide, Mahjoub (and now our friend), spent the week driving us around Morocco and giving us enriching facts about the culture, history, agriculture and experiences of what it means to live in Morocco. We started out in Fes, where we were picked up by Mahjoub. We traveled up to Chefchaouen (blue city), down to Volubilis (Roman ruins), down to Midelt, the low, middle and high Atlas mountains, an overnight stay via camels in the Sahara Desert, Todra Gorge, Dades Valley, Valley of the Roses, Altas Studios, Ait Ben Haddou, and Marrakech. These were just highlights, but there is so much more that you experience along the way. The entire itinerary was tailormade and any additions along the way (henna tattoos, Hamman visit, pottery making, etc..) were added on without any difficulties. We also loved our tour guides (Said in Marrakech, Farida in Fes), as well our extremely knowledgeable guides at Ait Ben Haddou and Volubilis. We went during Ramadan and learned so much about Islam and the customs of Ramadan. Everything was open and everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. Morocco Countryside Tours is a family owned business and we felt incredibly welcomed as a member of their family. We highly recommend Morocco Countryside Tours and invite everyone to visit Morocco to explore and experience all of its beauty and culture. Thank you again to Mahjoub, our tour guides, and Morocco Countryside Tours for all their hospitality and generosity. We will never forget our trip, and more so, the new friendships we have sealed along the way.

We travelled as a group of 8 (two families with a total of 4 children). From our arrival into Marrakesh all the way to our departure, we were treated with a high level of professionalism, knowledge, respect, and patience with our guide Mustapha as well as our driver. Mustapha shared his experiences as well as the love of his culture and country with us, and answered our all questions throughout our 8 day trip. Meeting us in person at the campsite was our organizer, Said, who was also very formidable and respectful. A lot of experience and expertise went into the background scenes of this tour. As a group, we have travelled all over the globe, and typically never leave reviews. However, on a personal level, I wholeheartedly believe that this review should be a furtherance for those wishing to travel with Morocco Countryside Tours. It is a worthwhile experience whereby this tour company will certainly do their best to give you a true Moroccan experience! Thank you again to all the staff throughout our journey for a wonderful adventure!

We were a group of two families with a total of 5 teenagers in tow coming to check out Southern Morocco over spring break. We were so impressed with everything from start to finish- Said's communicativeness and responsiveness during the whole booking process, the accommodations and arrangements throughout the tour, and most of all our guide, Mustafa. He did a great job with showing us around and meeting all the needs of the group, which was no small feat. He patiently answered questions and made tweaks to the plan to accommodate the group as needed, and we really enjoyed his company all week long! We highly recommend this experience as a family vacation, and we would like to come back to see the parts of the country we didn't get to this time around! Thank you to both Said and Mustafa for a great vacation.

We are very grateful to Moroccan Countryside Tours for our recent wonderful trip to Morocco. We travelled as a family group of 4 adults and 1 teenager and booked a 10 day private tour starting in Marrakesh, traveling through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass, visiting Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, Dades Gorge, Todra Gorge, continuing on to the Sahara Desert at Erg Chebbi and then traveling onto Midelt on our way to Fes. A truly fascinating and wonderful holiday. In preparing for this holiday we contacted a number of tour operators, read many reviews and found Said of Morocco Countryside Tours to be the most informative and responsive at this planning stage and so we picked this tour operator . The itinerary was tailormade and included any requests we had as we were interested in learning more about Berber/Amazigh culture and since Moroccan Countryside Tours is run by a Berber family this was a big advantage. We found ourselves in very experienced hands with this family run tour company. The beauty of this country, the excellent Riad accommodations, the authentic experiences with Nomads and Berber families , who are very hospitable and have a great sense of humour (just like the Irish :) the fascinating tours in Marrakesh with Said, in Fes with Rashid, at Kasbah Amridil and Volubilis with guides, the camel ride in the Sahara, meeting the desert nomad families and the hospitality of Fatima and her family , watching the sunset and then spending time under the desert starlit sky - so lovely. Throughout this wonderful tour of Morocco our driver and guide (and now friend) Hamid looked after us so well, safely driving us everywhere, with his Amazigh kindness and sense of humour and cultural knowledge and of course his patience as we tried to speak some words and phrases in Berber language each day :) We would recommend without hesitation a trip to Morocco with Morocco Countryside Tour - a truly wonderful experience - thank you.

Why I picked this company >>I emailed about 8 local companies with my requirements and Said (owner of Morocco country side tours) was the most responsive and most accurate with the the itinerary. It was obvious that all emails were carefully crafted looking at my requirements. From the other companies I would get responses with wrong dates, wrong airport pickup etc. Other members on trip advisor apparently had a similar experience with Said. Good tour operator to work with >>All the arrangements were made with care and I had no difficulties at all >>He made some changes in my schedule to make it most efficient >>He would respond to WhatsApp messages and emails promptly Local driver and guide Mustafa Hasnaoui was my driver and he is an excellent guy who took good care of me. he grew up in the desert, worked in desert camps, worked as camel man, has been doing the driver/guide job for 5 years and speaks English well since he went to the university at Meknes to study English for 3 years. Very knowledgeable about the place and this helps a lot. I had read a lot about Morocco before the trip and I was able to get a local perspective about the culture and places from him. I would strongly recommend him Other thoughts. Morocco is a safe place to travel especially with these private tours. I included this information since many of my friends told me that they would like to go to Morocco but was concerned about safety. I believe 31 million visitors come there annually. >>I would get a local SIM card from Maroc Telecom (national telecom company) from the airport itself after getting the baggage and before customs (best coverage in Morocco even in the desert) with 5 -15 GB data and a tel number. I saw other tourists who got e-sims from other companies who had trouble with coverage. >>I would change some money at the airport just to have Moroccan dirhams just in case you need them in an emergency (1 USD is about 10 MAD). Slightly more expensive at the airport but changing 50 dollars gives a sense of security. After that you can change more in banks or ATM or money changers when you find them >>When you visit the imperial cities you are required to have a local guide (usually 4-6 hour tour). It is worth it since you get a lot of insights from them about the meanings of what you see. Very helpful if you have read about these things in general before going and after explanations everything makes sense. The guides will take you to authentic cooperatives that make ceramics etc. You can see how these are made by artisans and it is a good experience. Within the cooperatives the local people take you around and I did not like the very pushy salesman in the ceramic factory. I wanted to buy a nice ceramic that is handmade but these people ask prices which are sometime double of what you would have to pay. Haggling is expected but the problem usually is that the customer does not have a concept of how much it is really worth. I think I overpaid and this was my only negative experience. If I were to do it again I would have checked prices of ceramics in the Medina to get a better idea of how much to offer. This experience has nothing to do with the tour company that I went with but included it as a general precaution. If they ask 2000 MAD I would now counter with 1000 MAD which feels weird for someone who lives in the US and not used to haggling. Mustafa and Said were great people to work with and I strongly recommend them.

Let me start off by saying that I'm jealous of you if you're reading this review.  It means you're planning an upcoming trip to Morocco and likely booking with Morocco Countryside Tours (psst... request Muhamed Ait-Ha as your guide) and have *no* idea how much amazing-ness is in store for you.   My Dad and I just returned from a 9-day tour of Morocco with MCT (Marrakech > Dades Valley > Erg Chebbi > Fes > Chefchaouen > Tangier.)  We'd never traveled with a tour company before (private or otherwise), but MCT had come highly recommended on several travel blogs and we decided to try something new.  "Incredible" doesn't even come close to summarizing our trip... I think I may have just ruined all future DIY travel for myself. Right from the get-go, MCT took care of everything.  Said was quick and thorough with every email and happy to customize the itinerary to fit everything we hoped to see.  He gave us a variety of riad/hotel/activity/price options to choose from and the total cost (about $1500 USD pp, including all accommodations, travel, guides, and many meals) was remarkably reasonable.   Our tour guide and driver, Mohamed, picked us up from the airport on the day of our arrival and -- over the course of nine days -- truly came to feel like family.  He's warm, welcoming, funny, considerate, knowledgeable, and *completely* made the trip.  He toted our luggage to and from every riad (so helpful when most accommodations were within the pedestrian-only medinas), called ahead to all of the riads and restaurants to ensure my dad's vegan dietary restrictions could be accommodated, and taught us so much about the country and its deep culture during our scenic hours in the car.  We were so sad to say goodbye to him on our final day, and wished he could join us on the second leg of our trip in Portugal.  I highly recommend requesting him when booking.  I'm sure all of MCT's guides are wonderful, but can only speak personally (and ravingly) about Mohamed Ait-Ha.  He's amazing.  You'll be lucky to travel with him.  A few final notes: * If you can squeeze Erg Chebbi into your trip, definitely do it!  This is where you'll ride camels at sunset to the desert camp for an evening of glamping and live Berber music under the stars.  It was as magical as it sounds and, in hindsight, we wished we'd allocated more than one night to it all.  So grateful for the time we did have though -- truly an experience we will never forget.   * There are several national parks in Morocco and we traveled fairly close to a few of them.  Our schedule was too tight to fit them in, but Cascades d'Ouzoud (waterfalls) looks amazing if you can swing it. *. For the final night of our trip, we stayed at La Tangerina in Tangier.  The hotel was heavenly, the owner was an absolute delight, and I took approximately 500 pictures of every gorgeous design element she'd curated. * On a personal note, I'm a queer woman and was unsure of how comfortable I would feel in a comparatively conservative culture.  I felt wonderfully welcomed and embraced by the MCT staff and would highly recommend this tour company for fellow female and queer travelers.   Have so much fun on your trip!  You'll love it.  I already know.

Do it! Just do it! Do not hesitate and just go. This was one of my favorite trips, it had been on my list for some time. There is so much to share about this company. I am honestly not sure I can possibly cover all of the amazing details that made our trip so enjoyable. If you are considering a trip this is certainly the company to use. The MOST important detail is the staff, EVERY single person was amazing. They provided everything ever needed to make our trip amazing. They were attentive, quick responding, kind, and a pleasure to be around for 6 days. Their level of English was strong which provided us with seamless communication. Our group was a group of 10 somewhat well traveled ladies. Some have visited Morocco before but not Marrakech. This trip exceeded previous trips by far. We visited in January. We had a 15 passenger van, a driver, and a guide for 6 days. 3 nights in Marrakech, 1 in Sahara & 1 in Dades Valley. These 2 men provided us with a memorable trip while keeping us safe and assisting with the logistics of moving 10 middle-aged women through Morocco. They moved our luggage, took photos/videos, played music and provided historical information along the trip. Take the trip to the desert! Yes, it is a long drive but there is no better way to see a country than to look out a window through the countryside with fun stops both directions. There are plenty of places to stop for coffee, food, toilets or shopping. We stopped at the Atlas movie studios, a rose cosmetic factory, argon oil store, climbed a casbah, walked through a gorge, saw many camels, and viewed some of the most beautiful landscape. We chose to camel in at sunset. It was epic. Once you arrive in the desert, you are “glamping”. The accommodation is great. Pack for a camp out but be ready to see a greatly appointed room with very comfortable bedding, electricity and full bathroom in the middle of Sahara. You will have breakfast & dinner in the dining tent where you will also find a place to sit and relax. The weather can be tricky, so we were unable to have a fire but the view of the stars should certainly not to be missed. The next day, we took ATVs out. We all had our own. It was a led ride through the hills of the Sahara with a stop at one of the highest points. We finished at a local hotel where we grabbed a coffee and returned to the van for our trip back to Marrakech. Our first and last day were spent in Marrakech. The first included a city tour. If going to the Jewish quarter, just buy the spices there. They are regulated and a set price. The last day was spent with a balloon ride, hammam and shopping. The hammam was a great first experience. I did not go on the balloon but it was highly reviewed. Everything was epic. Things I am glad I did not forget: wine from home, lip balm, boots, warm socks, charger block, fleece lined clothing, small pack of toilet paper (most stops had it but not all) and buying bottles of water and snacks for the roadtrip in Morocco. Things I wish I had thought about: gloves for ATV ride, selfie-stick, a lightweight poncho, Go-Pro, more layers of clothing, getting more dirham 😂 and a bigger bag for trinket purchases. This was an amazing trip, book it! 11 out of 10 for sure!

Incredible trip! I have nothing but good things to say about Morocco Countryside tours. Our driver, Mustafa, was very knowledgeable about Morocco, and he patiently answered all of our questions about the country, culture, food, etc. He treated us as family and didn't make us feel rushed if we were ever behind schedule. He also took us to many great restaurants with delicious food and breathtaking views! We landed in Casablanca, where Mustafa picked us up, and then he took us directly to the Hassan mosque. It was absolutely breathtaking, and we are all glad we did that first before heading to the riad for some much-needed rest after a long flight. Then we drove to Chefchauen, with a quick stop at Rabat along the way. We loved Chefchauen, which is very uniquely painted blue. Our next stop was Fes, where we spent two nights. We had a really great guide who showed us around the Fes medina (old city) and he explained everything in great detail. Fes is known for copper, leather, and ceramics, so we did some shopping there. After Fes, we took a quick stop in Ifrane to see some monkeys, and then we continued our drive to the desert. We spent one night in the desert and got to ride dromedaries while watching the sunset, and we rode ATVs as well! The moonlight desert camp was absolutely stunning, and the food was delicious as well. That was the best vegetable tagine I ever had! Shoutout to Mohammed, Yousef, and Ibrahim. We were the only family at the camp since it was off-season, but we still had a great time making music and dancing around the campfire. After the desert, we spent a night in the Dades Valley and made some stops for views and food. We finished our trip in Marrakech, where we met with another local guide and learned even more. Highly recommend visiting a hammam as well! Keep in mind that there is a lot of driving between the cities; however, there are plenty of stops for views, food, and bathrooms (which are very clean btw!) It was really nice to be able to see the countryside during these drives. Overall, Morocco has a beautiful, rich culture with incredibly kind people and amazing history. I would recommend everyone to visit Morocco with Morocco Countryside tours. We would definitely love to go back to Morocco and spend more time in Chefchauen, and Marrakech, and visit some other cities such as Tangier and Agadir. Thank you Said and Mustafa!

We had an amazing time on our 8 day tour from Marrakech to Casablanca. Our driver Muhammad was exceptional and courteous despite the early mornings and long drives, highly recommend him! Said was very responsive and accommodating of our itinerary, and gave clear instructions on the layout of the tour. Should be noted there is a lot of driving with interesting stops in-between and views of the Moroccan country side.

Family of 5 (Mom, Dad, & 3 girls age 7, 5, 3) An 8 day private luxury adventure straight out of the Disney Arabian Nights song. This was our first ever guided trip…and well worth it to experience Morocco in such an enriching and interactive way. We did way more than just see the sights. We met the people, made friends and experienced life with them in a meaningful and memorable way. With only 2 weeks notice Said put together an incredible itinerary for my entire family to enjoy much of Morocco with all of the activities. Camel riding and ATVs in the Sahara dessert, a Berber cooking class, local guides for history and markets in Fes and Marrakesh, a family Hammam and massage. We stayed in the most elaborate Riads, luxury Saharan tents, and a chalet in the Atlas Mountains with an incredible view. Our personal guide Ayoub and driver Rachid (30 hours of driving) with amazing care, kindness and patience made this an incredible cross country trip. They picked us up at the airport in Fes with SIM cards/data for our phones and tended to our every request throughout the week. Carrying a tired kid, offering snacks, picking up medicine, providing recommendations, and explaining the way of life in the world around us even drinking mint tea with Nomads in the desert. Flexible and accommodating in every way. They shared stories, introduced us to friends and family, and discussed life as we journeyed through Fes to the Sahara to Marrakesh to Agadir. Now they are family!

If you really want to experience true Morocco, Morocco Countryside Tours can make that a reality. The entire 2 week trip was Excellent! We were escorted by a personal guide, Youssef whose knowledge of the history and culture enriched our everyday. He can best be described as informed, gracious and patient. During our trip we went to 8 different cities but drove through the vast ,varied countryside. Lakes, deserts, oasis, mountains and vibrant cities. The highlight of our trip was an overnight in the Sahara Desert. We rode camels to our camp through the golden dunes taking a stop to watch the sunset! A true scene from Lawrence of Arabia ! The luxury tents at the camp and the meals were five star! The owner of Morocco Countryside tours, Said Boughrara and his family have integrated every detail to make a true Moroccan experience. We stayed in a Ryad in the heart of the Medina in Chefchaouen (the blue city) and Marrakesh , giving us the experience of living within traditional city walls. Walking through a traditional market, gave us a sense of the people and culture . Women making fresh phyllo dough, butchers selling camel and organ meats, the smell of the spices, donkeys loaded with goods clearing a path and a welcomed cup of mint tea. Everyday was a stimulating and superbly unique experience!

I can highly recommend to take the tour with the Morocco Countryside Tour. Me and my wife booked a private tour starting in Marrakech, via Casablanca, 2 days in Fez and via Atlas mountains to Merzouga desert (camel ride and a night in a camp). Then via Dades valley, Todra gorge and High Atlas back to Marrakech. It took us 5 days and was, given it is over 1500km drive, quite demanding. But definitely worth it.

Siad and his crew are over-the-top amazing. From working with us to put together a customized trip throughout Morocco for 25 days, to being responsive and creative answering our questions, to giving us an incredible driver [Ibrahim] and guide [Mustapha], Countryside was totally professional, helpful, and affordable.
