Calm seas and blue skies gave us a picture-book backdrop for our visit to the waters around Quadra and the other Discovery Islands. The whales responded well and came to say hello - in the afternoon we were the only boat in the vicinity of a pod with possibly a new humpback on his/her first visit to the area ... that was very special. On our journey we also saw porpoises, dolphins - and a large gathering of "near-threatened" Steller Sealions "catching some rays" on a rocky outcrop. As we reflect on an amazing experience we are immensely grateful not just for the privilege of being with these animals in their habitat, but also because we learned so much about them from our knowledgeable and friendly boat-driver, guide and naturalist, Quinn. Oh, and the lunch was pretty good too! All-in-all, it was worth every penny and we couldn't recommend it more highly.

Great day with a great crew: Alex and Bev. Alex as captain was fun, explained what we were going to do and hopefully see. Bev was a great first mate and kept us all informed, helped out with questions and information and importantly lunch. She also found my glasses I dropped on the boat. Professional crew, safe and fun travel, saw everything and enjoyed the day. 4 year old and 9 year stated "best day of our lives".

We went on a 6 hours tour with a bigger, closed boat. It was just great! Experienced the strong tidal current between the islands and saw a lot of wildlife: Wales, Sea Lion, Seal, Orcas, Bold Eagles. Our skipper even stayed longer out so we can enjoy the Orcas.

We had a beautiful day out on the water with Alex and Beth seeing humpback whales, Bald Eagles, dolphins, porpoises, sea birds, seals and killer whales. They provided lunch and drinks and entertained us with complimentary thanks guys from the Ozzie's 😊

Went out on Eagle I (brand new boat) with Leify J. We saw 2 sets of Pacific White dolphins, 3 sets of Dall Porpoises, Stellar sea lions, a breathtaking event of hundreds of Bald Eagles feasting on Hake, two sets of Humpback whales including an amazing show of tail and pectoral fin slapping and to top it all off, Orcas. The boat was comfortable, had a bathroom on board, and plenty of room to run up on deck to go to the the bow or stern or sides for optimal viewing. They provided extra binoculars for guests that didn’t bring one. Lunch was a chicken wrap, 2 home made cookies and a yummy granola-type bar, dried fruit and water. Leify J was informative and entertaining.

Quinn was absolutely amazing! Full of information and cares deeply about the ocean. On the trip we saw a black bear, orcas, humpback whales, seals, sea lions etc. The boat was brand new and super comfortable. Lunch was great too.

On a sunny May day, we have done the 8 hours closed boat tour. It has covered 130 nautical miles in the maze of islands between Vancouver Island and the mainland. We have been lucky enough to see humpback whales, sea lions, black bear, seals, sea eagles, porpoises, elk and dolphins. If you add the fantastic scenery in which these animals evolve, it was a fantastic day. Jessica and Ben, our guides were very knowledgeable and sympathetic.

My cousin from Austria and his wife along with my husband and I did this yesterday, May 20th. Super time, seating was comfortable, lunch was delicious and for all four of us more than we could eat. Left end arrived back on time. Everything was perfect.

Class day out in Campbell River! We had Robin who was very passionate and knowledgeable about the local area / wildlife. We had the option to sit inside or outside so when it did get a bit windy we could stay inside, most of the time we did have sunshine which was great for September. We seen so many animals! At least 10 humpback whales, so many seals, sea lions, otters, about 100 white sided pacific dolphins plus loads of dalls porpoise. We even seen a whale fully jump out of the water which was so beautiful to see. Views were incredible, such a beautiful place. We stopped for some nice food (a sandwich, fruit and some healthy snacks) at a cute little spot for a hour before heading back up to see more wildlife. Great trip, would highly recommend.

Had a fantastic day with Damien, our friendly and knowledgeable guide on the 6 hour covered boat tour. Saw plenty of humpback whales. Highlights were the humpbacks, stellar sea lions and bald eagles fishing for salmon all together near Stuart Island and then the pod of Orca in Heriot Bay towards the end of the trip. Stunning scenery as well. Thanks for the great day!

Our day long whale watching trip was absolutely magic. Jim, our expert skipper, gave us the smoothest adventure on the mirror flat sea and we were privileged to see 17 orca, 4 black bear, 2 humpback whale, pod of dall's porpoises, Pacific white-sided dolpin, plenty of seabirds and stunning scenery. A perfect day in one of the most awesome wildlife hotspots I've ever been in. Thank you muchly

Best whale tail, 2 simultaneous breaches, & numerous eagles with a herd of sea lions. This was my 4th outing with Campbell River Whale Watching. The first two were in 2014 and these remain among my most pleasant memories. Our guide, Brad, repeated an area when we asked. Today was the favorite of the four. Clearly I was delighted with the experience to return from my home in Leawood, KS. Enjoy.

Excellent day out. The captain, naturalist and office staff were really great. The covered boat was comfortable, lunch was tasty and the option to be seated outside on the upper deck or seated inside was appreciated by our seniors' club. Saw orca, humpback, dolphins and porpoises and amazing scenery. Highly recommend this company.
