Just book it! This was the best experience seeing other towns and riding through the most beautiful scenery. Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable! 10/10!

The bike trip to Tule tree was great. Our tour guide ( Leon) was both knowledgeable and helpful throughout. after the interesting visit to Tule tree we rode up to the reservoir and once cooled and hydrated returned back through Tule tree I would recommend this tour. His assistant was very helpful and made sure everyone was safe

A fun, but tiring day mountain biking in the countryside. We enjoyed our guide and his assistant as they led us through the streets of Oaxaca and out to the countryside. We enjoyed an authentic breakfast at a small reservoir. Coming from sea level comma the altitude was apparent when we were climbing the hills on the dirt roads. The Tule Tree was interesting and the town was charming. The bikes were decent but gearing seemed to be an issue with most of them.

While the going can be a bit rough until you learn your bike and the terrain, this is a great bike ride through rural Oaxaca. The views were great, it was wonderful to step outside the city, and the guides were helpful, patient and understanding. They really did their best to ensure that everyone successfully completed the ride, from offering tips to blocking car traffic. It was a wonderful experience.

Highly recommend this tour led by zenon and Israel. The bikes were in great shape, they provided a helmet and water. We rode down an old rail line now bike path carefully crossing roads since cars don’t always respect bikes here. We arrived at the tule tree where zenon had one of the youths of the area guide us through the different images in this magnificent cypress giant. After this we rode through country roads to a dam now lake to enjoy some Nature. Great way to see the outskirts of Oaxaca.

The guides were great -zenon and Rocío. The bike trip was very difficult for us because we were not expecting such a difficult trip - it was too long and difficult.

This was the best tour I did while visiting Oaxaca!! Many tours just shuttle you around but Xenón takes the time to connect with you and really explain things. It’s also cool to see the countryside from the perspective a bike and get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Oaxaca. Highly recommend!

This was a beautiful and engaging tour led by Zenon! The opportunity to have more physicality in our vacation was great, and the sites did not disappoint! The Tule tree was extremely impressive, and the more rural areas outside of the city were beautiful and peacful too. We met at the tour office and after sizing our bikes and fueling up with extra water, set off from the office. The riding was manageable, and our guide adjusted according to our fitness (we did some extra climbing to test our mettle :) ). The ride out of Oaxaca de Juarez was fairly straightforward, just zig-zagging a bit through the morning pedestrians and then in a bike lane. After that, it was a easy flat ride out to Santa Maria del Tule. We stopped for breakfast to chat and relax a bit before touring the Tule tree. Zennon did a great job explaining details about the tree, as well as the historical significance of the tree and area more generally. Then off to the reservoirs for us! The ride got a little more engaging as we climbed, but was not too extreme. We stopped at the first, smaller reservoir for a bit before climbing further to the larger one. We relaxed a bit at the top, had a beer and then set off on the return! Zenon led a great tour - he took time to explain things around us, the history of the area, and set a very relaxed tone throughout. Zennon even took the time to let us watch some of the Guelaguetza performances in Santa Maria del Tule before we made the final trek of the ride home!

I was a little worried that the bicycling would be too fast but two guides came with us and rode (one at the front and one at the back) exactly at our group’s pace. The road to the tree El Tule was on a dedicated bike lane and was very nice. From there we went into the hills on a dirt road to two small reservoirs . That was a little harder for me but the guides were patient. The guides spoke excellent colloquial English but also were patient with me when I practiced speaking Spanish. I returned home tired but happy.

For me, the real highlight of this tour was not seeing the Tule Tree (which is kind of a tourist trap, let's be honest). It was the opportunity to get in a lengthy bicycle ride not just through Oaxaca City but also a couple of smaller local villages as well. And I had a pair of excellent, professional hosts.

Overall, the biking experience was excellent. The guide was able to talk in Spanish and English which helped me. He was informative and funny with his explanations and knowledge and I'd highly recommend taking his tours again. The downside was the main entrance to the building was locked and we knocked on the door and had to call the tour booking company; we couldn't get in touch with the guide.

I went on this bike trip with my 9 year old son , and it was a true highlight of our week in Oaxaca. Our guides, Xenon and Israel, were friendly, informative, and very attuned to keeping everyone safe. Getting from downtown to the bike path requires attentive biking, as you cross a few busy roads & intersections, but you quickly come to the bike path ("ciclovia") on Avenida Ferrocarril that is protected from traffic, except for periodic road crossings. As you get further from the city, you are biking on either dedicated bike/pedestrian paths or streets with very little car traffic. The Tule tree and surrounding plaza are absolutely beautiful, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the community food market before biking on toward the quiet village of Santo Domingo Tomaltepec and beyond. We didn't make it as far as the dams, but our guides were happy to adjust the itinerary to our needs. Overall this was an excellent trip, and being on bikes was a fun way to get to experience a bit more of the nature and culture of Oaxaca and its surrounding communities.

Wow, it was a great experience. The bike tour is an excellent way to see the area around Oaxaca and get to understand the local community and the culture. The guides were knowledgeable and provided helpful information about the history of the indigenous cultures. We visited the Tule tree (amazing) and also the water reservoirs. If you like bike tours I highly recommend this experience.

In early February, my husband and I had an amazing bike ride through Oaxaca to Tule Tree then off the beaten path to a small village, Santo Domingo, and onto the dirt roads into the mountains ringing Oaxaca. We stopped at 2 large lakes with incredible views. Zenon has a well-planned route that includes a few cultural stops within Oaxaca and outside Tule. Route had easy access from city streets to well-maintained bike trails that connected each city. Highly recommend. Zenon and his partner were super professional and very engaging. The best tour of our trip.
