I was quite worried about doing the tour as it was the first time I had travelled solo however, from the moment I was picked up by my driver Calvin I felt safe and secure and could not have been in better hands. In addition to this, Calvin was an incredibly great spotter and pointed out many animals that we would have otherwise missed. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and there were none that he could not name or provide information on. I highly recommend Serengeti Tours to anyone traveling either alone or as a couple

In February 2024 together with my wife and my adult granddaughter we took a Safari trip to Tanzania National Parks. This trip was promised to my granddaughter long ago, but I had no time to fulfill my promise. I am very meticulous about details when I travel, thus I started to read internet to see what people write about their experience. Among others, I found a few good reviews of the company by the name Safari African Tours. In principle I do not fully trust many of the reviews published on Internet but decided to try. Now after the tour is over, I must say that not only all these excellent reviews of the Safari African Tours are true, but in my many years of business and personal travels I never experienced such a perfect service as provided by the Safari African Tours and personally by its owner and manager Mr. Lucas David! First of all, Lucas was always available to answer your question and to give some advice. Before the trip I called him through WhatsApp many times and e-mailed him multiple times to receive an answer within 24 hours. Lucas offered many options for the future travel both regarding the price and the schedule. Important, he was never pushy to choose a higher price but let you decide based on your budget. Since both me and my wife are not young, I chose a relatively expensive (at least for my wallet ) private travel for our group of three to visit four National parks including Serenegeti an Ngoro-Ngoro and having a day hiking trip to Kilimanjaro . Now I must say that our travel was worth of every dollar I spent on it. Importantly, Lucas was attentive and responsive not only before the start of the travel, but also after I paid for it on the first day of the travel. Moreover, after our travel was over, we decided spent an extra day in Moshi and Lucas provided us for this day a complimentary hiking to the Materuni waterfalls and visit to te coffee makers that was one of the jewels of the entire trip. Lucas solved immediately all the smallest problems during the tour that inevitably arise in a 11-day travel making your journey smooth and perfect. Also, it seems that Lucas managed to hire highly professional guides. Our main driver-guide Abu was more than excellent. He was knowledgeable on animals and on Tanzania in general. Although, according to him, he was on Safari more than a thousand times, he was as enthusiastic as us tracing various animals and driving us to where they can be spotted. As the result we have seen all the main animals. Thank you, Abu! Several other Lucas’ staff we met, in particular two drivers by the same name Kelvin were very friendly and helpful, especially one who accompanied us to the Materuni waterfalls! As a scientist who wrote hundreds of reviews of the works of my colleagues, I know that for fairness one must add a couple of critical notes to improve the future work. But in the case of Lucas’ the Safari African Tours I do not have any critical remarks. I wish he will remain to be perfect for the future travelers as he was for us.

The safari to Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area was excellent. The guide, Lewis, was quite knowledgeable, the accommodation better than other camp sites, and the meals very delicious. It also helped that we saw all five of the Big 5! In addition, we saw baby elephants rolling about in the mud, a pack of spotted hyena dealing with a carcass, and a male and female lion attempting to mare. Lake Manyara was a little disappointing because the heavy rains had stirred up the mud in the water and discouraged the birds from feeding there. I also felt that the guide was not as informative as Lewis. The visit to Materuni Falls was good although very muddy because of the wet weather. The food was excellent and the coffee tour very lively and entertaining.

Lucas and his team helped organise an amazing safari for me, and a great trip to the Materuni waterfalls and coffee tour on my final day, which was a great addition. They were always a great pleasure to deal with, and willing to help and answer any of my questions. They took a lot of stress out of the holiday, which left me able to enjoy all the amazing experiences offered in Tanzania. I would thoroughly recommend booking with Serengetii African Tours to anyone looking for a great safari experience.

The tour was very good. We have seen a lot of animals. Great guide-Abu, and great cooker-Mattieu. The National Parks were amazing. The place to sleep-very well. Plan of this tour very well. But....I would like to write that in this company, if you take private tour...this not always mean this will be a private...and not more than 6 person could be...7. First day the company put to our car 2 another people. It was a private tour-we paid many us a private tour. Even if I try to explain that this is a tour only for me and 4 my friends, the man from company tell me that there is no word "private" in my documents. I was to nervous to could find the note (which was on my document from the company that this is a safari for group not bigger that 6 person...with to other person (Michał i Sandra) they joined to our group in the car there was 7 people and the guide. The couple which share with us our PRIVATE safari paid 500 dolar for this one day tour. I think this never should happen. If they asked I suppose we will agree for company other person, but the way they do this it was not nice. The woman from company told us sorry...but the firs day was awful. After the first day, for the next day we were only in 5 people )plus of course guide and cooker).

Accommodation was comfortable and clean and food was (not the best but) good. They provided bottled water the entire trip. Having a good guide really holds your entire experience and we were so happy to have Malisa as our guide. He was very very knowledgeable and professional. Lucas, our main contact thru WhatsApp, was also on point. Rough roads and dusty on the way to Serengiti, comes with the territory, but all so worth it. Its almost surreal to experience, I highly recommend it. I hope you get Malisa as your guide :)

The opportunity to experience and learn about such beautiful landscapes along with the bird and animal species supported was a true privilege for me. As a group we were very well supported by our Guide and Chef. Accommodation and meals were excellent.

We had a really nice safari! Because of low season we joined another couple with another couple. But everything was well organiszed! Lucas picked us up from the airport as agreed. Trustworthy organisation. Our guide Hachiem was good and knew a lot about all the places and animals. And was really concerned about our well being. Beautiful trip and would recommend it to everybody who loves to see wildlife!

This tour was the most incredible experience of our lives. My father and I went during April 2023, which is during the "off season", but our entire experience was amazing. From the moment we landed in Tanzania, we had a driver waiting for us at the airport. The owner, Lucas, communicated with us frequently before and during the tour. He answered all of our hundreds of questions and provided us such peace of mind throughout the entire trip. Our driver and chef were amazing as well- we ate WELL, so bring your appetite. We had three hot meals a day- we saw other groups in some of the parks that were eating boxed lunches but we had incredible hot meals every day. To say that this company went the extra mile is an understatement. Our driver, Lewis, was incredibly skilled at spotting the animals- we saw all 5 of the big 5 animals and SO many more. We will recommend this tour to absolutely any one and hope to bring the rest of our family back soon.

I enjoyed all destinations of the trip. They are all different and beautiful. I also liked that I was contacted by the organizers pretty early and were able to ask questions at any time. Thanks for that. The guide was well educated concerning flaura and fauna, which I highly appreciated. Accomodation was different: nice and clean hotel and camping in normal tents. Camping sites differed a bit between safe and pool or in the middle of wildlife:-)

This experience far surpassed any of my wildest expectations. Just got back from the safari and telling everyone about Serengeti African tours already! Great accommodations, food, guides and staff. We got to see everything that we had hoped to see and explore some of the nicest national parks in the world. I cannot recommend Serengeti African tours and David enough. This is the safari you should book if you are planning to take the trip of a lifetime.

Amazing experience, we really enjoyed and had a lot of laughs with our guide David. We saw all 5 big animals in just . Great game drive and walking tour. David was very good at giving us details about all the animals and each area we were in and he was a great driver. The company served a delicious local hot lunch. This is the third time I've booked with Serengeti African Tours and probably won't be the last. Thank you David for a perfect safari experience we will never forget.

True real life exposure to animals in the Safari. I had an amazing five days where I had excellent opportunity to experience different animals in their real habitat. We had a very good driver and guide (Abubaker) and chef (Richard). I was in a mixed tour group with several nationalities represented from America, Brazil and UK which added to the experience as you get to meet lots of interesting people. We went to Serengeti, Ngurah nguarh and Tangeri as well as Kilimanjaro. We’ve been able to see many lions and their cubs, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, wildebeests and buffalos. We watched leopards hunting a gazelle for their cubs and also lions preying on a wildebeest. That’s just to name a few, there were so many more. We also saw birds, just to mention a few vultures, falcons, eagles and marabou stork. The scenery was spectacular with wide open landscapes of 10s kilometres which looked endless. We enjoyed the crater with the lake full of flamingos. Our trip to the jungle and seeing the coffee tree and experienced authentic Arabica coffee processing. The waterfall was also another amazing experience. Viewing Kilimanjaro close up infuses you with the desire to consider the expedition to climb to the top, which I’m sure will be my next trip. What was especially amazing is that the tour went exactly as had been planned with no hiccups or glitches not to mention our camping and spending two nights in a tent which was an unforgettable experience. Somehow, on holidays you always wait for something to go wrong but I can gladly say that that did not happen on this trip. The food was always freshly prepared of good quality and we always had ample opportunity to do what we want without feeling pressurised to leave a specific activity early. Of course I won’t forget the crocodiles and the hippos and joining the Masai in their dancing, competing with them in their high jumps - an honour to be welcomed into their culture. Throughout the trip, I consistently felt safe and welcomed the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. Lucas was kind enough to take us on a tour of Arusha and had kindly accommodated our request to visit a mosque. Throughout the trip he was contactable and would respond promptly. As everything had gone perfectly to plan, we didn’t need to contact him but he made sure to make himself available if we had any requests. The trip gave me good insight into the culture, and served both as an opportunity to see the wildlife and landscape whilst also learning about different cultures and practices. Having travelled to many other places across Europe, Asia and North Africa this trip was a clear standout and the best. I would strongly recommend!

After watching a load of Serengeti documentaries, I packed up as a female solo traveller after learning that Tanzania was one of the safest countries in Africa for solo travellers ( indeed it was!). From New York ( JFK), I landed at Kilimanjaro International Airport, which was 1 hour drive/transfer to Arusha. Lucas and his team, being local or native owner/operators, had given us the experience of genuine Tanzanian hospitality, generosity and depth of cultural experience -- which was for the books! Lucas promptly responded to questions during planning, briefed us upon arrival with the plan and arranged transfers and excellent lodge accommodations by Serengeti and Ngorongoro above and beyond my expectations ( with excellent views of the plains and animal sightings!), checked us regularly and debriefed us at the end of the tour. Abu, our tour guide, was built for wilderness adventure --- both a " bad ass"dirt road driver and wildlife expert -- we were overwhelmed with the number of free ranging animals in their natural behavior , up close starting from Lake Tarangire to Serengeti and Ngorongoro-- lions, buffalos, zebras, elephants, birds, hippos, Giraffe, hyenas, cheetahs, leopard, impalas, gazelles, baboons, wildebeest, etc-- unbelievably pristine wilderness with high concentrations of diverse wildlife, the Garden of Eden -- or a glimpse of it! We visited a Maasai tribe village, joined their tribal dance and learned about their way of life -- a living cultural heritage --very interesting! A dip in the hotspring was also refreshing! The Chaga tribe showed their village, Materuni Waterfalls, the coffee plantation and coffee making process, gave us a taste of their farm to table cuisine and coffee Arabica from scratch ( prepared traditionally!) Richard, our cook, happily prepared and packed for us a taste of home-madeTanzanian cuisine throughout the trip -- delicious! It was a well-organized, seamless, unforgettable tour and I felt well taken cared off every step of the way by a very professional team-- it was all more than worth it-- I will highly recommend the team for safari experience of a lifetime to my friends and others! November weather was not too hot, very short rains which did not interfere with the safari and it was not crowded. Tips : 1. Bring a small luggage or backpack, accommodations vary in a day or two. 2. Bring good binoculars ( a must!) and camera for long shots. 3. Bring light colored clothes ( no blue and black) for areas with Tse tse fly. Better with pants and long sleeves ( Lake Tarangire); Good hiking shoes for Materuni. 4. Use spray high in deet 5. Stores accept USD or shillings; better use money exchange at airport upon arrival. Drives are long and areas can be remote 6. Wifi in lodges are only strong on reception or restaurant areas. One can buy simcards for wifi, the guide can assist. 7. The region has huge Muslim population, appropriate dressing may be necessary 8. Drives are long, bumpy and dusty-- (for those who can be physically challenged , ie. with back issues, just be aware and be ready); 9. Be cool with " bush toilet" when necessary 10.Tips are very much appreciated 11. Hakuna matata! ( No worries!)

The whole tour was incredible from start to finish and the service was amazing. We wete offered transfers between all legs of the tour and even a few extra trips when we changed hotel, free of charge. Lucas and the crew were constantly checking in on us and making sure we were well looked after. The waterfalls and hot springs were stunning and well worth including on your trip. The safari was the highlight and we saw everything we couldve wanted and more. Big 5 done! Our tour guide was Silas who was the best! Funny, knowledgable, passionate and so caring, ensuring we had a great time. The chef, Tito, cooked some of the best meals we have ever had and i think we are a couple of kilos heavier post trip. The whole trip was very accommodating and we linked up with other travellers doing similar tours, some chose to camp and others stay in lodges. Some started later and others stayed longer with no issue. Could not recommend this group highly enough and will be looking to stay again!

This is the first time I went on a safari tour , and this trip did all what I am expecting from the safari and more. It was well organised and packed with surprises, we saw so many animals and one day we called it the Lions day when we saw so many lions more than we can count in one day, thanks to our guide and driver Abubakr who was brilliant and made the tour quite enjoyable. Richard our chef was fantastic he gave us 3 freshly cooked meals a day from local produce and he makes tasty food. The trip was sealed by our visit to Kilimanjaro and it’s waterfalls and the coffee experience which was fantastic. I strongly recommend this tour and this team to whoever wants to try the taste of Tanzania.

We booked a honeymoon safari from Serengeti African Tours From among numerous options, we ended up choosing them based on the great amount of positive online reviews. They definitely are worth of the given 5 stars, as everything went brilliantly from planning (thank you Lucas) to execution, thank you Serengeti African Tours Serengeti African tours nice guide Height met us at Kilimanjaro airport. We wanted to start the trip in a relaxed way by exploring the surroundings of Kilimanjaro, so the first day's program included visiting Materun village and from there to Arusha to rest before the safari. The next morning, our safari guide Simon came to pick us up from the hotel and our safari experience began. Our safari included Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. All the sites were amazing, big thanks to Simon, who is a very professional, super friendly and has a great sense of humor. He really knows a lot about the animals, even the direction they are going to next. A true animal wisperer! Simon made sure we got to see all of the “big five” during our safari. Challenging situations, such as a flat tire due to the rocky roads of the Serengeti or getting stuck in a muddy road after rain, did not cause any bigger problems as Simon took care of the situations well and got us to the camp safely. He also has a huge knowledge of the nature and animals which allowed us to get a lot of additional information about the flora and fauna, which was greatly appreciated. I can highly recommend the Serengeti African Tours and especially Simon for your safari guide!

Jumbo!! We just got home from this amazing experience! I would recommend that everyone, if possible, should experience Africa and if you are going to, I would recommend you trust this company to guide you. At every step of the way, Lucas and his team of drivers and guides were there to assure our comfort and safety. They were able to accommodate pretty much all of requests and made sure all our needs were met. From our earliest enquires, Lucas responded to all our emails and answered all questions. All the photos provided on the brochure were accurate so there were no surprises. We planned this trip with nothing more than the info provided by Lucas and we were not disappointed. We learned that you don't simply visit Africa, you experience Africa. This safari is not simply about seeing the "Big 5", it's about experiencing the communities, the culture and people. Simply an amazing experience! You will see literally thousands of zebras and wildebeests, all the big cats, elephants .. yes even baby elephants, hippos, warthogs, mongoose, giraffes, many difference types of gazelles and their cousins, Our main guide Godfrey did an amazing job of locating this wildlife, stopped whenever we asked and allowed for plenty of viewing time and photo ops. He provided us with lunches every day and made sure we had plenty of water. All the lodges were as featured in brochure. I would say they averaged a solid 3 stars. The tent lodge experience was probably the coolest stay, both literally and figuratively :) All the meals were amazing, whether they were prepared by camp cooks or in a lodge. I would say the one thing that you need to be prepared for if you are coming from North America is that the toilet facilities are not always what we are used to. You never have to worry about the hotels or lodges, but when you are travelling you should expect to encounter squat toilets, you can google that :) When you are on safari, you will have to use the "bush bathroom" if you need to use a bathroom between scheduled stops. As a senior citizen, this was the biggest challenge for me but I managed. After the first time, you'll be fine :) All in all, this was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend
