It was one of my most beautiful experiences ever , incredible how many different nature and animals you see. At a “pole pole” pase you can enjoy all of that. Our guide Saidi was a very professional guide and became a friend. Everything was really nice organised and the camps and hotel were perfect, again with the most friendly staff . We saw the big 5 and much more… Hakuna matata !

Our trip to Tanzania was wonderfully organised by Roy Safaris! Tanzania has lots to offer tourists who want to enjoy the wildlife, and Roy Safaris was the perfect company to show us around. All of the accomodations (African Tulip, Tarangire Simba Lodge, The Retreat at Ngorongoro and Ndutu Lodge), the food and planning were great. We had some early mornings to catch the animals while still active, and that was balanced out by having some time off. Our guide Frank deserves a special mention because of his hard work. He was able to answer all of our questions about the wildlife, the different cultures and tribes, the plantlife and life in Tanzania. He made sure the car was clean, we had enough water and put our safety first, all while being very kind. The wet season sometimes made it difficult to drive, but he was a very capable driver that we completely trusted! Because of his experience, we managed to see some extroardinary things in Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. Frank made our experience in Tanzania a memorable one!

Everything was perfectly organised. Our guide went out of his way to show us whatever he could despite sometimes difficult driving conditions due to the rain. He told us so much about Tanzania, its animals but also its culture, people, plants… Great! Thanks Frank!!!

We had a superb tour of Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater with Roy Safaris. We went with a group of about 20 people as a University group with students and professors. Roy Safaris provided 4 vehicles and drivers. They provided an absolutely excellent experience. They were on time, very accommodating, safety oriented, very friendly and knowledgeable. The guide in my vehicle, Ally Kimea, was a real pleasure to chat with. He knew a tremendous amount about the animals, their behavior's and a lot about the plants within the environment, and stuff in general about the country, etc. He was keen to ensure that we got the photos that we wanted and had time to observe the animals before moving on to the next. Within the few days we had seen all of the 'big 5': Water buffalo, Elephant, Lion, Rhino and Leopard. We also saw many other animals, including Giraffe, Baboon, Wildebeest, Gazelle, Zebra, Monkey, Flamingo, Eagle, Crowned Crane, Storks, Jackal, Hyena, and many more. Ally has great eyes. During the early morning as we were moving toward the rim before crossing down into the Ngorongoro crater, he spotted a Leopard crossing the road in the far distance. Not long after that, while rounding a bend, he spots another Leopard right on the roadside ahead. He approached it carefully as it walked along then pulled up slightly ahead and stopped so we could appreciated the animal walking up and beside us. The Leopard look at us for a bit (we got pics!) and then moved nearby into the brush. It was a beautiful animal, less than 6 feet away! That was a tremendous way to start a day that was then filled with so many more animals. Thanks Ally! The Roy's Safaris crew was excellent at more than spotting, driving and explaining. They also had us well set up for each lunch, the lunches were great (lots to eat), they made sure we had breaks through the day and got us to and from our outstanding lodgings! This company was terrific from start to finish!! Hamila helped arrange a fantastic trip with wonderful places to stay. Mr. Allen was an expert safari guide who brought years of experience and knowledge which made the safari a highlight for us!! The 2 Trips in Salous Nyerere Game sind in the Serengeti were really famous . We saw a lot of lions , a leopard and hippos in abundance. The most important fact is to have an excellent guide who can trace the animals and knows much about their behavior. So we highly recommend Roy safaris and his excellent guide Emmanuel.

It’s so hard to choose a safari company when there are so many on offer. Let me help make it easier for you! Choose Roy’s! Roy’s Safari were excellent from start to finish. Susan helped plan our trip and made sure it would be suitable for the children ( 11 and 8), arranged the accommodation according to our needs and booked a hot air balloon tour too. The info pre trip was comprehensive and very helpful. We had a lovely briefing at our initial hotel and then off on our tour! We visited Terengire, Ngorongoro, central Serengeti and Lake Manyara. Each park different with their own delights and animals. Our guide was Thomas Mosha - a hugely experienced and knowledgeable guide who is now part of our family. He ensured our safety at all times, took great care on the roads and of the animals (beware not all operators follow the strict rules! Many broken trucks and unhappy tourists stranded). Thomas taught us so much about Tanzania and its wildlife. He was able to show us a huge variety of animals and the kids loved having a booklet to check off which they’d seen! There were too many highlights to list - but this was truly an experience of a lifetime and one the children will speak of for years to come. Thank you Roy’s! This trip was MAGICAL to say the least. We called Roy Safaris with special requests( which was in addition to the safari) and they made our trip happen without a hitch for which we are so grateful. This was our very first trip to Africa. Upon arrival into JRO our driver Eric was there to assist us with making arrangements for the airline to contact us as they left our luggage in Tampa. Our driver / guide was so patient. We visited friends, went on a school tour and he accompanied us every step of the way with much enthusiasm not skipping a beat to tell a little history about the various towns, their culture and the tribes and farming in the Arusha and Moshi area. Thank you Eric for such a fine welcome and introduction to AFRICA! The next day our driver /guide Thomas who should have been our original driver was on schedule at 6:30 to start our exciting trip to Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti. Thomas was phenomenal! His intense knowledge of the safaris, its animals and their behaviour, where to find the animals and how to get the best pictures from the vehicle was perfect. Between Susan who executed the planning unbelievably well at a great price, excellent value for money smooth sailings through all the safari entrances and they best rooms at some of the most wonderful hotels / lodges, and Thomas our driver who had an overwhelming amount of information to impart we are so happy we chose ROY SAFARIS to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary in the most memorable way . Planned and booked a trip with Roys, as several friends recommended them, and we wanted specifically to see the famed RIVER CROSSINGS in northern serengeti! Fantastic on all counts! Our trip started with 1nyt Tarangire at Tarangire simba lodge. Great food here! Then to lakes Manyara and Eyasi stayed at The Retreat - another superb accommodation then 4nyts at the Mara under Canvas camp which was fantastic and placed well ; we saw a total of 4crossings and many other animal encounters - leopard, cheetah,lion, herds of elephants. All round a fantastic-fabulous-fine trip which was very well organised! Thanks also to you our guide Manny who was superb in all aspects: great knowledge- fun-respect-driving skills- wildlife instinct/encounters. It made all the difference as we saw many lost cars and broken down jeeps, glad we weren’t in them. Our keep had charging plugs and a refrigerator so staying out all day was no problem. Highly recommended to anyone planning a Tanzanian Safari.

Outstanding organised safari in 4 national parks in Tanzania. In our first African experience we were able to see the big five and many more. We recommend to also book the balloon safari in Serengeti which was a fantastic experience. Saidy, our guide was amazing, knowing the fauna and flora very well and continuously connected with the other guides to make sure we could spot all the animals on our wish list! Thanks to him many tourists were able to spot the rhino in the Ngorongoro Crater. Definitively an unforgettable experience which we recommend to everyone!

During our honeymoon, Roy Safaris made sure we had the full “safari experience”. Thanks to their very qualified and friendly guide, Saïdi, we can look back to an amazing time at Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. After not being sure I was brave enough to tackle a tented Safari I’m so glad that I did. We did the Roys classic Tz safari !! We actually stayed at tented camps- tents with ensuite bathrooms and it was not what I expected!!! Beautiful and put me at ease!!! Proper dining tent and kitchen.... small bar. Just great! The tents were really nice with netted windows and resting on raised wooden decks. Flashlight and emergency whistle on the writing desk! Bottled water provided. It was a great experience and not at all scary as I expected!!!!! Our Guide and vehicle fantastic! The food everywhere was incredibly delicious! Really enjoyed myself! Thanks!!

As we sit at the zanzibar airport waiting to board a flight to Arusha we just thought it was proper for us to really THANK Roys -Sanjay in particular, for the wonderful honeymoon stay we had at The Blue Bay Beach resort and spa - a 6night all inclusive package including a spa treatment and 2 private dinners (one on the beach under a pergola and another at The Bahari)- fantastic special moments!!! We were in a great room that was spacious and greatly positioned - we were happy that all staff wore masks and Covid mandates were being followed. The FOOD was fantastic with such a variety and taste OMG! It was amazing and a delight to dine here! Thank you..... we look forward now to meeting you and embarking on the SAFARI you have planned for us.....

Five day basic camping Safari It was our first time camping, in Africa and I and my girlfriend had a blast! Saidi was a fantastic guide and Hasan the cook had “magic” fingers I don’t know how he cooked what he did from scratch breads, meatballs, chicken stew, soups, desserts to name few!!!! The game viewing was fantastic and then we returned to our rustic camp with tents propped up and Hasan’s delicious cooking ready for us every day - a real fantastic treat! Breakfast comprised fruit, eggs, sausages, baked beans on toast and some delicious potatoes! Pancakes and great coffee! Hearing the animals at night was a thrill of sorts but having our campfire burning all night was reassuring!!! A real fantastic Safari!!!

You don’t go on a “safari” when you book with Roy Safaris you go on “an experience of a lifetime”. I recently went on my third Safari led by Roys. I didn’t think it would get any better, yet on every safari my high expectations were blown out of the water. I work with animals for a living and I understand that viewing animals requires a lot of patience and luck but more importantly having a truly dedicated and ridiculously knowledgeable wildlife Guide increases dramatically the viewing experience you are likely to achieve. The team at Roys provide the perfect combination of knowledge, experience, persistence and above all access to places that other people just don’t know of. Absolutely recomend them!
