There are MANY boats and tours and tour companies offering this adventure, almost all of which offer virtually the same itinerary at many price points. Our boat (Sonesta Moon Goddess) was a step above what we expected, and arguably one of the better boats on the route. But what made Luxor and Aswan Travel stand out was their extremely responsive communication. All of my pre-trip contacts were answered rapidly, if not immediately. It's hard to believe Hany is only one person, but maybe he is. And if so he is the most amazing and responsive travel planner on earth. They arranged air (EgyptAir) from Cairo to Luxor and back to Cairo from Aswan, including transfers both ways in Cairo. We also did the Abu Simbel trek, which was a highlight of the trip for me. They arranged a private guide/Egyptologist (George) who was smart, friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, helpful. I can't say enough good things about him. There were times when I might have liked the anonymity of a group, but we learned so much more having him to ourselves. I think we could have spent somewhat less $ with other arrangements, but the high level contact we got from Luxor and Aswan Travel was well rewarded. And, while I'm not certain, I believe they made extra effort to get us on a boat well above the class of service we expected and paid for. We loved the Nile River Cruise and excursions to the temples, the dams, the specialty markets. Our guide, Mahmoud Hassan, an expert Egyptologist, gave us a vivid picture of ancient sites and shared the highlights of temple preservation. The cruise along the Nile from Luxor to Aswan had beautiful scenery and sunsets, as well as comfort amenities.

The trip was incredible. The service on board was excellent. The food was very good. I would sing up for another tour without esitation.

We have just had the most amazing time on our Egyptian Nile cruise with Luxor and Aswan Travel. We booked Sonesta Moon Goddess Nile Cruise and from the start Hany the agent was very responsive. We were advised 24 hours before the start of the cruise what the pick up time would be at our hotel and the private car and guide Waleed were on time. Firstly we assumed we would be part of a group tour not realising that this was a private tour just for the two of us which was amazing. Our guide stayed with us on the whole trip, briefing us on each site we were about to see. He was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of Egyptology and brought the whole experience to life. Waleed certainly has a vast knowledge of history of Egypt that he can call upon and is passionate about the detail. He wasn't just an exceptional guide he was a wonderful person with a great sense of humour. If you are lucky enough to have Waleed on this tour you will not be disappointed. We enjoyed very much with Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Our guide, Mohammed (“MoMo”) was real expert with degree of Egyptology and 16 year of experience with passion. His explanation was not only detail, but also different angle depends on the temple. Without him, I don’t think we could enjoy the tour so much. I also would like to note, different from mega cruise tour in Caribbean or Mediterranean Sea, extra trip is managed by your travel agent, not ship company. I took additional tour to Abu Simbel and hot balloon. You may find more cheaper option, but thinking of quality including transportation early in the morning, it was reasonable.

I couldn’t have asked for a better tour company and guides. The organisation of Hani was spot on - exceeded any expectations, you knew it would just be seamless. The cruise itself was smooth, staff so so friendly and welcoming and attentive. Really felt like a mini cruise family (thank you for the orange juices!!). Loved it!

We selected this company after having seen other reviews here and having interacted with them to plan the cruise details. We were satisfied about the level of support and the trip itself. We were travelling with Sonesta Goddess boat, which was clean and preparing good food level with lots of choice. But highlight was our private guide, Mo, who is very prepared on historical/cultural sites and very helpful in supporting us for any need. We definitely advise this company and Mo as a guide !

Our trip to Egypt was superb, made especially so by the agency's exceptional arrangements regarding the tour guide, driver and the Esmeralda cruise team. Our pick up and drop off from airport was done professionally, with a clean spacious car. Ashraf, our guide, was knowledgeable and entertaining and we were like old friends when the tour ended. It was absolutely fantastic experience, starting with excellent support and communication starting with choosing the tour and finishing with last transfer to Aswan airport: all was brilliantly done by Mr Hany El Dosouki and his team. My family had the best guide - professional egyptologist, always excellent cars and drivers to get us to the sites, fantastic ship- we were upgraded to have two suites on one of the best ships on Nile - Sun Goddess. It was a very special occasion as both my wife and I had a birthday at the end of November, it was truly very unique and unforgettable.

We cannot speak highly enough of Hany and the team from Luxor and Aswan Travel. Our holiday was breathtaking. The cruise was absolutely spectacular! Our private Tour Guide was brilliant and really looked after us. All the staff on board the Blue Shadow where accommodating and friendly.  Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

This cruise was beyond amazing. We got to sail with the Crown Emperor, a beautiful ship, good cabin amazing staff, omg we absolutely loved every single one of them. Their hospitality was fantastic, they treated us like king and queen. The food was delicious every day and they had entertainment in the evening. Our tour guide Mahmoud Hassan was an excellent guide, he was very pedagogical and a great storyteller. The team members of Memphis were simply highly qualified. Their leader Mr. Nasr was very attentive to our demands and really cared for uus. We felt very reassured by his capacity to lead.

We had the most incredible time in Egypt thanks to our wonderful guide, Dr. Ashraf. He was extraordinarily knowledgeable, personable, and genuine. Everywhere we went, people would come up and be happy to see him (even beyond the usual: “you have the best tour guide!” talk you hear on many tours). Even outside of his extensive knowledge of ancient Egyptian language and archaeology, he taught us so much about current Egyptian customs and culture. We had a great time just talking with him even after the tour days were over. By the end of our tour, we were even enjoying reading some hieroglyphics (not required!). And, of course, we felt extremely safe as well. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn about Ancient Egypt in a relaxed environment, while also just enjoying the beauty of the sights. We loved it!

The best part of this trip was our tour guide Omar and all the wonderful knowledge he has about Egypt and history. We didn’t have to worry about anything from the moment we arrived in Luxor and we’re picked up by the tour company representative. We were able to visit many different places with the option to see more if we wanted. There were some challenges as we had to bring a travel chair for easier transportation. Some temples and tombs were more difficult to maneuver since the ground was not even but Omar helped each step to get my mother the best views possible. I enjoyed travel through the city on the horse carriage and boat to the island temple of Philae. The food was good with a selection for anyone to choose. The staff were very friendly. The only thing I would complain about was the smell of exhaust in my room and throughout the ship. There is not much one can do about that though since the boat spent much time on the dock. The room was good and the beds were as expected. There are vendors on the ship to get souvenirs in case you don’t want to go to the market. They may be a little bit more expensive. Overall I am very happy to be able to go on this trip with my mother and special thank you to Omar who made us feel safe and like part of the family.

What an amazing experience from start to finish. Firstly Hany was so responsive and arranged everything so it was completely stress free. Our guide MoMo was the highlight, what agreat guy! His English was perfect and he took time to explain the history behind everywhere we went Nothing was too much trouble and every little detail was thought through and perfect. We would highly recommend doing the hot air balloon ride too. Despite the conflict in the region at the moment, we felt completely safe at all times and it is obvious that the Nile area is operating the same as always. We can't wait to arrange another tour through Hany next year!

Very knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptology and broader subjects. Taking into account that he is even busy studying in this field doing a post graduate degree made us feel very privileged. Hany of Luxor and Aswan travel was the tour company that we used to book our trip on the Historia cruise line . Historia turned out to be the top ship in our opinion on the Nile. It is a two year old ship with the highest quality of furnishings and finishes. The crew was fantastic! But an important part of this trip was to have Hany of Luxor and Aswan Travel as an advisor.
