The safari was amazing. It’s my 5th Safari with Suricata and every time it’s gets better. Our guide Rocky was really good, he has good knowledge about the animals especially the birds. We spotted some rare animals too, which we were all happy about. We stayed in lodges and the beds were super comfortable. The food was very tasty. The whole atmosphere was amazing. We enjoyed the fire in the evening. We had a lot of fun with the stuff from the lodges. For lunches we stoped in 5* bush restaurants. Rocky selected the best places to have our meals. I would highly recommend Suricata and Rocky as a guide.

What a trip it has been. We are just back from our 5 day safari and I am still speechless. We had the best experience which started with a friendly pickup at the airport and ended with a mind full of great memories. Our guide Mandela took very good care of us. He showed us the beauty of his country, answered our endless questions and spotted tons of animals for us. The accommodations were really great (maybe the accommodation in Arusha could be improved), the food was delishes (thanks to chef Tom and the chefs of the accommodation) and the service (suricata staff and staff of hotel) was excellent and super friendly. Thank you Suricata team for making this safari so special.

SURICATA SAFARIS – A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE! We had an amazing experience during our 5-day safari tour with Suricata Safaris. Our family of four, including my wife and two children (ages 18 and 12) were treated with a high level of personal care and attention. Our safari included amazing experiences at Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro, and the Serengeti. Excellent Pre-Trip & Arrival Communication: Suricata’s owner Hilary Chrispine was in regular contact with us from the time we booked the trip almost 12 months in advance to help with our planning. He was always responsive and provided us the specific information we needed as we planned for this special trip. Once we arrived in Tanzania, everything ran flawlessly. Our pickup from Arusha airport was on time and when we arrived at our first stay, we had a personal briefing with Tawlib, one of the Suricata’s directors who outlined the specific plans for each of the five days. Amazing Safari Guide / Driver: We began our safari with Ezekiel, an incredible safari guide and driver with a top-quality truck, who became part of our family over the course of the week. Ezekiel was very knowledgeable of the history of the parks we visited, the animals we were seeing, and most importantly the terrain of how to get us to the best locations to see all the wildlife we could see. Over the course of our safari, we not only saw all the big five multiple times (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo and rhino), but also more rare animals including families of cheetahs, hyenas, eagles, hippos, impalas, zebras, baboons and many more. During our game drives, Ezekiel was always very calm, patient, and accommodating to anything we needed, and made the experience a lot of fun for our children. Wonderful Lodges & Stays: We also enjoyed the stays at the great lodges and camps along the route. The Suricata Boma Lodge, a brand-new resort built within the last year, was top notch as it boasted incredible views of Lake Manyara. The high-end resort had a beautiful swimming pool and activity area as well as delicious food that was customized to our dietary needs. The Angata tented camps in the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservancy Park were also a great, safe, rustic experience with warm and hospitable staff in the heart of the wilderness. Delicious Meals: The meals each day were also excellent. We had hot breakfasts each morning with ample choices of meats, breads and fresh fruit. During the day, while on safari, we had hot lunches that were freshly made each day (whereas we noticed other safari groups had packed lunch bags with much less appealing options). Dinners also were excellent and freshly prepared to meet our dietary needs. One afternoon Ezekiel took us to a special location where we had a picnic in an area where we were able to meet and spend some time with local Masai children. Kilimanjaro & Materuni Falls: In addition to the 5-day safari, my son and I also went to Materuni Falls to see Mt. Kilimanjaro and experience more of the local Tanzanian culture. Tawlib was our wonderful guide who took great care in driving us to and leading us to the falls (about 2 hours from Arusha) and making sure we had a great experience, despite running into a brief but memorable rain shower. The hike was incredible as we walked through beautiful forest and were welcomed by the stunning falls at the end of the hike. We also spent time at a local village, having a homemade meal prepared by the local residents, and who also shared their special coffee making process. We also were very lucky to see great views of Kilimanjaro on our way to and from this day trip add-on excursion. Given the numerous safari tour operators in the area, we would highly recommend choosing Suricata Safaris as they truly take personal customer service and attention to detail to the next level. We hope to come back again and re-use their services!

Our family of four just returned from our private 5-day/4-night safari with Suricata Safaris. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend Suricata! Planning was easy and Hilary was very helpful and informative. Their prices were very reasonable, and the door-to-door service by Tawlib once we arrived at the airport made the trip easy. Our guide and driver, Ezekiel, was absolutely fantastic. We really appreciated that he taught us so much about the animals, birds and even the plants. He found every animal we wanted to see and could spot and identify them from so far away! It was easy to spend 5 days with such a kind and friendly person! He also arranged our itinerary so we could stay two nights in a row at the same lodge, which was great. We were upgraded to a stay at the wonderful Suricata Boma Lodge at Lake Menyara. It was amazing—beautiful resort-like villas with incredible views and unbelievably kind and welcoming staff (plus a pool and spa). We also stayed at two different Angata Tented Camps (Serengeti and Ngorongoro) which were very comfortable and welcoming and the staff made our youngest feel so special he didn’t want to leave! The food was terrific at every location and we were served a hot cooked lunch every day on safari. Suricata staff asked about our food allergies/restrictions and preferences and the food was so delicious! Overall Suricata Safaris was incredible and I highly recommend them!

It was a amazing tour. We saw all of the big five and a lot of other animals, too. Our guide, Fred, was so funny and friendly. We really enjoyed being on our Safari with him. The lodges were very good, with cozy bedrooms and very delicious food. The care of the chef, Tom, about the food was great. Everybody wanted us to feel comfortable, also Daniel, the man from the briefing, cared a lot about us even after the tour, not just before. In conclusion it was a unforgettable trip, with impressive landscapes, beautiful animals a lot of fun and a very great guide :) Every time again

It was a great safari. We’d seen so great animals and landscapes and our guide was very funny. He answered all my questions and was very patiently with us. So at all it was a great time.

The Safari Tour included Lake Manyara, serengeti and Ngorongoro,so a very divers tour and lots to see. I am really happy with the organization and espacially with our tour guide Max who has immense knowledge and knows every spot in the nature parks and where specific animals are hiding. We had a full safari experience, every wish was full filled.

We went on a 5 day private safari with my sister. We can not criticize one thing. Everything was perfectly planned, starting from the pickup at the airport, the safari and again the drop of at the airport. Also the lodges we stayed in were really high in quality. First of all I want to thank our Guide Max who gave us the wonderful experience during the safari! He has many years of experience, so much knowledge and we felt in the best hands with him. If I would do a Safari again, I would ask for him. We had an amazing time, he fullfilled all of our wishes. Also thank you to Hillary whom we've been in contact while planing everything. Thanks to Daniel who picked us up from the airport and introduced us to Tanzania and thank you to Swaleh who was our guide on our first day for a tour in Arusha. Everyone was really hospitable, we felt like home.

We had the most amazing time and Frederick our guide was very knowledgeable and a pleasure. He explained so many things to us from Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. We saw so many animals, he knew all the right spots to take us to and he could spot animals from very far away. We had overnight accommodations in fancy tents with showers and toilets and wonderful dinners. I would highly recommend Suricata if you are looking to go on a Safari. This clearly was a bucket list for me!

We had the most amazing time. We travel a lot and this was our best vacation ever. We booked the 5 day safari. Our first stop was tarangire national park and it was pure magic. Like a scene from the lion king. There were sooooo many animals. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. We also spent 2 days in the Serengeti and got just a few feet from male and female lions and even baby lions. We saw a cheetah chase after a gazelle. We saw leopards and about 100 hippos. Of course there were giraffes, elephants, wilder beasts, ostriches, and impalas all over the place. We spent 3 nights in lodges where everyone was extremely hospitable and the food was awesome. In the Serengeti and crater we glamped and came back from dinner to find our camps surrounded by zebras and gazelles. We went to sleep to the sounds of lions, elephants and hyenas which was a surreal experience. We explored the crater and saw 2 rhinos, hippos, lions, and thousands of flamingos. Our guide Louis was so knowledgeable and knew everything about every animal, bird, tradition, food and everything. We had a cook who traveled with us and prepared meals for us while we were out on game drives. We felt absolutely safe the entire time. It was one of the best weeks of our lives and we will be talking about it until we are 80z. Book the trip and thank me later. :)

Tanzania is blessed with top national parks and conservations areas which are made accessible by really competent tour guides. My husband and I were particularly lucky to be accompanied by the best safari guide, Damien. He made our journey unforgettable, fun and we learned so much!

The tour operator was great with communication when I was planning it. And the safari itself was unbelievable. The process they offer is world class. They have everything planned perfectly and you just go along for the ride the entire time. I strongly encourage you to consider them on your safari. I chose them because of the reviews, and I can collaborate with that.

Suricata was absolutely amazing! They picked us uo from the airport and brought us to our hotel for the night before starting the Safari. We explored Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Conservation Area. And the Ngorongoro crater. Our guide Mandela was absolutely amazing, he was so knowledgeable and was a joy to be around! We learned so much from him and he was so good at spotting the animals that we were trying to see. The accomodations were absolutely amazing, I didn't know what to expect going into this Safari and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. Suricata went absolutely above and beyond! 10/10 would recommend a million times over!

Highly, highly, highly recommend booking with Suricata Safaris! I went with a group of five friends (six people total) for the mid-range five day Safari. It was amazing. For logistics - We stayed in the Suricata Boma Lodge two nights and in tents two nights - one in the Serengeti and one in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Suricata also set up hotel stays for a night before & after the safari itself, and arranged for airport drop off & pick up which was incredibly helpful. Each overnight location had Wi-Fi as well. The Boma had a pool with a stunning view and beautiful rooms. It was really cool to camp in the Serengeti where we could hear animals at night (but very safe as we had escorts to walk us to our rooms), and we were so high up in Ngorongoro that we were camping in a cloud. It was cold (bring layers and a jacket, it’s cold but manageable), and when it was time for bed the staff had put hot water bottles in our rooms! A lovely touch and they stayed warm all night. For the food - The food was delicious - hot lunches every day, they were very accommodating to allergies, and dinner & dessert every night. If you eat the crepes with breakfast, be sure to add some jam! And for the Safari itself - Absolutely amazing, and that doesn’t even do the trip justice. We saw all the animals on our “wish list” (including the full Top Five!) and our guide did a great job at navigating how long to look at each animal or herd before moving along. He also maneuvered some awesome views for us among the other Safari trucks. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and parks we visited so we learned a lot. We visited a different park every day, except for the Serengeti which was two days. The Serengeti and the Crater were my personal favorites - though every day was really fun and brought beautiful views, landscapes, and animals. I’m not usually someone to leave reviews but I definitely wanted to share how much I loved this trip. The team was incredibly friendly, accommodating, personable & fun to joke around with - and created such wonderful memories for us on this trip. We had the BEST time in Tanzania with Suricata! We went as 6 friends and filled up the safari truck. We got to go to 1) Tarangire National Park 2) Lake Manyara 3) Ngorongoro Area/Serengeti 4) Serengeti and 5) Ngorongoro Crater. Each day felt like the best day yet. The tour was timed so well - we always felt like we’d seen a lot and were tired by the end of the day. Mandela was a FANTASTIC guide for the trip. He was kind, gave clear instructions, and helped me handle my food allergies in an unfamiliar place. Mandela was so informative, sharing loads of facts about the areas and the animals. We saw so many animals too! The list included Lions (in trees, eating kills, mating, and roaring), Zebras, Leopard, Buffalo, Cheetah, Rhinos, Baboons, Hippos, Wildebeest, Impalas, Giraffes, etc etc. The tented lodges we stayed in were lovely! On a cold night, staff even put hot water bottles in our beds while we were at dinner as a nice surprise. I had an amazing time and would recommend Suricata to anyone!

The absolute best trip. Everything was perfect! The logistics, to the food, to the hotels I could not have asked for anything more. Mandela was the best guide you could ever imagine. He was so knowledgeable and kind and gave the perfect amount of time with each animal.

An amazing experience. We did private safari and stayed 3 nights in Serengeti to see the river crossing. We were lucky enough to see it twice. We also stayed 1 night in Ngorongoro. We stayed in lodges/ tented camps and the beds were super comfortable. Our guide Rocky was really good, he has a lot of knowledge and he has an amazing personality. He always made sure everyone was happy 😊 We had a lot of fun during this trip. This was my 4th safari with Suricata and I have to admit that every time it gets better. The food was amazing as always. Although we did not have a chef with us on this occasion I still think Salim is the best cook in Suricata (if you do camping you will be pleased to have Salim as your chef).
