Our guide Mena was amazing, able to present everything in an exciting way and to answer all our questions. He organised the trip according to what we wanted to visit and the weather. We didn’t have to worry about anything and we had a good balance between exploring and relaxing. The cruise itself was great. The landscape views from the cruise were beautiful, the staff were super nice and welcoming, the rooms were decent, and the food was good and diverse, buffet style. It is a trip I will always remember.

I just returned from a trip of a lifetime! Egypt had been on my bucket list for many years. As a solo traveler I researched several tour operators, and am happy to say I can highly recommend Journey to Egypt. All of my questions/concerns were promptly answered prior to departure, and once I was in Egypt I was well taken care of throughout my stay. My tour guide, John, took special care with every logistical detail while sharing his vast knowlege of Egyptology at every stop along the way. I went with my partner we took the 5 days and 4 nights tour from luxor to Aswan, our guide was jhon, our experience was amazing, every place we went he gave us all the necessary information about egypt and the place we were visiting, once he finished telling us he gave us enough time to take pictures, if we had doubts all were well explained, we never took a tour with animals and it is appreciated because the conditions of some animals are quite sad, we felt quite safe. Overall the tour was excellent and our guide Jhon an Egyptologist who knows a lot about the subject 10/10.

100% recommended tour! We had a very satisfying and exciting experience. As for the cruise I can say that we had a beautiful trip, an excellent crew and facilities that are very well. I must highlight the work of our guide John who at all times was very friendly and willing to solve all our doubts (which were quite a few). During the tours he managed to contextualize us historically, demonstrating the quality of his knowledge and managing to convey his passion for the history of Egypt, so we leave with a part of him and his stories back to our homes. Also, it is worth mentioning that he takes care of every detail at all times to make the trip a very pleasant experience. Also, to add that during our stay in Egypt we always felt safe and never had any mishap or unforeseen event that could make us worry. In the places we visited we always saw police protection and security controls that make you feel at safe at all times.

Everything was well organized, we always felt safe with this tourism office. We only recommend Egypt by this office, alone could be dangarous, but with these guys you always feel be safe. Our tourguide Michael was very kind and well-prepared, he always listened to our needs. If you want to get the most out Of your holiday in egyipt, go with these guys!

The cruise and yours exceeded all of our expectations! As Americans in Egypt for the first time, the cruise made sure we felt safe and cared for at every turn. We were picked up from our hotel in Luxor and then taken on a private tour of the Valley of the Kings. Our check in process was super smooth and the rooms were luxurious, spacious, and convenient. Our guide - Michael - was nothing short of excellent everywhere we went along the Nile. He helped us be flexible where possible and shared so much information about the art, architecture, and history of all of the sites we visited. We loved the roof deck at sunset and Boles and the wait staff took good care of all of our wine- and Sakara-related needs! Finally, we were dropped off at our hotel way up on the mountain overlooking Aswan at the conclusion of the journey - again, the team went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful trip and we are so grateful. We would highly recommend this trip and tour guide Michael to all of our friends!!

This trip was incredible, exceeded expectations. There were guides for all the separate groups on board, so it really felt like a private tour experience. Our guide Michael was so helpful and accommodating, he made the whole trip so pleasant and smooth. The tour was a perfect blend of touring sites and relaxing on board and enjoying the cruise down the Nile.

This has been one of my favorite trips ever! The boat was beautiful and the cruising time was relaxing with a great roof deck. The food was good and the service was fantastic. The sites are incredible and was made better by our wonderful guide, Michael. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time.

This trip was our 50th wedding anniversary and what a trip it was. John our Guide was extremely knowledgeable, and patient but very efficient with timing while making sure there was plenty of time for us to explore on our own with gathering spot identified. We were EXTREMELY SAFE in our surroundings and very comfortable with John watching over our every need. NEVER did we have a worry for our safety. If the opportunity presented itself we would hire John & Journey To Egypt in a heart beat!

Private Tour with guide - best way to beat the competing throngs of tourists as your experienced guide can change up the tour. Find shade that large groups can not. Answer your burning questions etc. Our guide John was awesome as he was informative, friendly, had a great sense of humour, spoke fluent English and as a result guided us through the whole experience with ease. Cruise Boat - As a vegetarian the choice of food on the buffet was fantastic plus the staff made sure I had a main meal that was cook especially for me. Overall the staff were friendly and attentive. Final words - this review and cruise was taken in November and with the current state of affairs in neighbouring countries tense. We felt completely safe and welcomed by everyone here. So please do not punish a wonderful county and come and enjoy the hospitality and security of Egypt with “Journey to Egypt”.

Myself and my husband did a 5 day trip from Luxor to Aswan including Abu Simbel with Journey to Egypt. The sites were amazing and it was very helpful to have Mena guide us through the chaos of Egypt. Our boat wasn’t great (calling it deluxe category is a stretch) but it was comfortable enough and the food was good. The outsourcing of some activities eg balloon trip at Luxor wasn’t always smooth but Mena did his best to fix the problems. We had a small group of 8 which was a great size and they were a lot of fun

Our Journey to Egypt experience was above and beyond the expectations. The main reason for that was our personal Egyptologist and tour guide John. He was very professional and advised us in many ways that reduced anxiety about things we didn’t know about traveling in Egypt. I had concerns about visiting Egypt during the current conflicts in the Middle East. However, safety, health, wellbeing and security have not been an issue. شكرًا لك !!

We have had an amazing time traveling with Journey to Egypt. From the moment we stepped off the plane in Luxor they have taken care of our every need. We were transferred to our hotel for free even though we flew in the day before the cruise started. Then our Egyptologist, John, met us the next day. The level of professionalism and knowledge he brought to our tour has made our entire trip. He always makes sure we are ahead of the crowds, and he explains everything we’re seeing in a way that’s exciting and fun. We’ve learned so much about Egyptian history during our time here thanks to John. It’s made our trip to Egypt entirely worth it. Egypt is safe to travel right now. In fact, now is the time to visit. We haven’t encountered any issues with safety since being in Egypt and traveling with Journey to Egypt.

A Nile cruise has been a bucket list item for a very long time and the Journey to Egypt cruise absolutely exceeded our expectations in every way. The communication from the time of booking was excellent. The itinerary everything we hoped for and more. The boat was very comfortable, crew professional and friendly and the food was delicious and plentiful. But what made the cruise special was our guide John. Johns professionalism, knowledge and guiding style is second to none. He is truly a pleasure to spend time with learning from him about this wonderful country and its history. The Nile cruise was the highlight of our Egypt trip! Our guide Mena took great care of us and always made sure we had everything we needed. We organised our cruise with Journey to Egypt beginning of this year. We loved how easy it was to book the cruise and the details on the website helped us make an informed decision. A few days before the trip, our guide, John reached out to us to give us all the details. He also organised our hot air balloon ride and Abu Simbel trip before the trip started so we could just enjoy without worry.
