Jambo! Before I dive deep into this review I have one thing to say to Fred, our safari guide, and Lion King Adventures….Asante sana!! (Thank you very much) This trip was the most memorable experience I have ever had and I know that my family will remember it always. When we arrived at the Kilimanjaro Airport we were greeted by Fred and he welcomed us to Tanzania. His warm hospitality led me to know we were going to have an amazing adventure! The Safari truck was ready to go with waters, soda and beer in the cooler and plenty of waters throughout the vehicle. As we started off for our first adventure to Tarangire National Park, Fred informed us of all the great things that were to come and answered any questions we had. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture and all the animals and vegetation. After an exciting first day we drove to Eileen’s Trees Inn to spend our first night. It is nestled off the main road and it felt as if we were in the middle of the forest with all the lovely plants and flowers. The food was amazing and we slept well in our room. At 8am sharp we were off in the safari truck and on to our next adventure…the Serengeti! It was a little rainy but that didn’t stop us. It cleared up within 2 hours and it became a beautiful day. All I kept thinking is this trip keeps getting better and better! And Fred knew just where to go. Our hope for the trip was to see the big 5. Fred and Lion King Adventures delivered! Right outside our camp we came upon 7 lions! We got to see the Great Migration with zebras and wildebeests, lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, black faced monkeys, hippopotamus, crocodiles, rhinoceros, Africa buffalo and so many more!! We knew Fred was always there to make sure we saw everything and never rushed us. Pole-pole….slowly-slowly. The Tanzanian way! We even had a few experiences that were unique for Fred too! The next two nights we stayed at Noyota Luxury Camp and it was exactly as stated…..luxury! The food, lodging and staff were beyond amazing! Asante sana to Maria, Brian, Laureen, Amos(our Maasai warrior) and the kitchen chef! You all made our stay magical. We can’t wait to return! Hearing the lions at night while showering under the stars was unforgettable. I can honestly say that was a once in a lifetime experience. The next stop was Ngorongoro Crater. This was an unbelievable site. There was an abundance of animals and birds. The pristine landscape was beautiful and the amount of flamingos was surreal. On our last day we went to the Mto Wa Mbu village. Getting an opportunity to see the locals and understand how they function day to day. We got an understanding of how banana plantations are ran and how bananas grow. We visited a group that teaches art to locals and our daughter even got to do some painting in the local style of kisu. The next group we visited did wood carvings and our son got to help out with sanding down some ebony bowls. I think they could have put him to work! Before leaving we got to try the banana beer that is made in the village. We learned the process and had an understanding of how they share this social drink. By the end of the safari Fred was like family! We got to know about him and his family and even the favorite cartoons his kids like to watch. It’s amazing how far we live apart yet have so many similarities. Thank you Fred. Thank you Lion Ling Adventures. Thank you Caroline and Rose for helping to make the itinerary for my family. We just finished our 5-day Safari with Lion King Adventures and it was an amazing experience! Everything was well planned out and we were taken such good care of by our pick-up driver, our guide and all the accomodations. Special thanks to David, who was kind, patient, an exceptional driver and an excellent guide! We would totally recommend this to everyone and would love to it all over again ourselves!

Amazing experience ! We saw a lot of animals (much more than what we expected), we even saw all the big 5. I highly recommend going with Lion King, especially with Saleh, who was our guide for the trip. He did an excellent job, je was very kind and was really good at spotting animals.

Really fascinating adventure. It was a pleasure, one of the best trip I had. The landscapes were beautiful, the animals we saw were incredible. We didn’t have any problem with the hotels, they were also very good and also the food was very good. I would like to thank Salehe, who was an incredible guide, he is a very respectful, funny, kind and comfortable person. He is by far the best guide I ever had, we saw more than we thought we would could see. We didn’t have any problem with him, everything went good. Again, I would like to thank him for being our guide because we had a very good trip.

From start to finish the whole safari experience was incredible and went beyond all expectations. From the organisation of the trip the the actual trip itself, everyone we spoke to was helpful, friendly and professional. Our guide Yusuph was amazing, he made sure we were comfortable and catered for the entire time and his knowledge of the animals and the parks really made the trip for us. We saw so many animals everyday and this was thanks to his expertise in navigating the parks and knowing the animals behaviours. Everywhere we stayed, the staff clearly thought very highly of Lion King and Yusuph. The accomodation was beautiful and the food was delicious. This was a once in a life time experience for us on our honeymoon and something we will never forget. It was our first time on safari and our first time in Tanzania and we fell in love with both. Yusuph our driver made the trip a once in a lifetime experience. His knowledge, professionalism and genuine passion for the wildlife meant that we got the best experience at every location. This was our first safari. We had such an amazing time that we will definitely be coming back, and we will choose Lion King Tours to organise it for us. We saw all of the big five and countless other species, often in great number. We spent time watching a lion ambush zebra and wildebeest. We sat with a large group of elephants. We were surrounded by tens of thousands of animals migrating. I highly recommend this company if you want help tailoring your safari to be just right for you.

The tour guide, enock, was excellent. He demonstrated excellent expertise and showed us many amazing places. His experience and knowledge of the local fauna gave us the opportunity to see the animals up close and personal. It allowed us to capture some unforgettable moments. Our safari trip was an adventure of a lifetime. Lion King Adventures staff were extremely helpful and efficient from the beginning in assisting us with planning our trip. Their recommendations enhanced our experience. Our guides, Emmanuel and Salehe, worked well as a team coordinationg our daily activities and amazing journeys to see the awesome beauty of Tanzania (people, culture, diverse landscapes and wildlife). Emmanuel and Salehe were friendly, considerate, extremely knowledgable and fun to be with. We were well taken care of and felt very safe. The accommodations were very comfortable with friendly, helpful staff. The food was delecious! We highly recommend Lion King Adventures. If possible, ask for Emmanuel and/or Salehe to be your guides.

A trip of a lifetime. Emanuel and Selehi were the best guides ever. They were very knowledgeable, patient, extremely courteous, and flexible. They provided an experience that will never be forgotten. Their friendly and easy going manner made the trip memorable and educational. This was a National Geographic experience coming to life. Selehi and Emanuel cannot be beat as guides, they definitely set the standard.

When researching which tour company to work with for our safari, I was overwhelmed with the choices. Luckily, I found Lion King Adventures. From their responsiveness (thank you Caroline and Nickson!), helpfulness in giving practical advice (not trying to sell me side activities!), and flexibility in customizing our tour - they were easy to work with and super accommodating . And all for a reasonable price. Then when it came to the tour itself (which is about to wrap up!), we got the best guide ever (MWITA!!! aka the Man of Serengeti). He was able to find animals that others couldn’t find, great driver, and savior to those with car problems on the road. He definitely made it a memorable trip. Can’t wait to come back to Tanzania with family!

I have come back from Africa for one week now. However, I still could not stop thinking the days of safari with Heaven. He really have done excellent job and have been a true friend to me and zoey.I have to list the merits of safari with Heaven. 1. he is really born to be a safari guide. he could see the rhinos and leopards from a long distance while we could not spot. so there is no pity during this trip and we have seen every animal and shoot the photos and vedios. 2. his driving skills are outstanding and that really matters if you do not want "africa make-up" all the way or spending too much time on the road during safari. 3. he is really a gentleman. he opens the doors everytime for us and remind us mind our head. 4. he is really neat which really matters too. he wears uniform everyday and keep the car clean everyday. the weather is hot during the days and we all sweat, but he is always fragrant. 5. he has a wide range of knowledge on animals ,local tribes, and Africa. we learned a lot about animals, local tribes and other stuffs during safari and meals. you really need a erudite guide during safari because he will tell you the reasons of animal behaviors. in this way, you will not only watch animals but also you can learn a lot. 6. he takes us out for birds after safari trip and we communicate on lifes, love,animals,dreams and so on. he is really warm-hearted and kind, and I bet you will like him so much. 7. he is guide and driver indeed, but he seems more like friend, teacher and philosopher. besides, he is really a talent in music and you must not miss the songs that he wrote and sang, wow, you will enjoy so much more the safari with listenning to his songs during the trip. 8. I will come back and will still ask for Heaven to be the guide. I still remember that on the first day ,he said to us that you will only bring back the memory worthy remembering lifetime. Yes,indeed. To the hidden contributors Caroline and Florida， without your painstaking effort , I would not book the Lion King Adventureand have enjoyed so much during the trip. Caroline keep in close touch with me through emails of itinerary and costs for almost 2 months. no matter what our request are, she always remain patient and customize our trip. I am really grateful for what she has done. As our trip is set, then Florida has take over the accommodation,transportations and all other elements of safari. She makes the itinerary come true. We really love the accommodations and always see the driver waiting for us in the exit of airport and holding a signboard with our name on it. Besides, she has customized red wine and white wine with our name on them and we really feel surprised and thriiled. Everything is arranged so perfectly by her!!! THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING . I WILL COME BACK TO SAFARI WITH MY FAMILY MEMBERS AGAIN !

We spent 4 days on a safari with Lion King Adventures, guided by Salehe, covering Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the south Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. South Serengeti and Ngorongoro were phenomenal with wildlife and we saw all the big 5 and much more; Lake Manyara was less impressive, would definitely skip it next time. A heads-up: the safari days are long and tiring. It’s worth considering a rest day to chill at the lodges, which are quite nice with great structure, but note the pools usually close early (as soon as it’s dark outside). Food was delicious with a good mix of options, including both alcoholic and soft drinks (really good quantities, no need to buy extra). The standout stay was at Lake Masek Tented Camp - great vibe, right in the wild, amazing structure and people! In short, it was a solid trip with a few learning points for next time.

We had an awesome experience with Lion King Adventures since the very beginning. I was traveling with my girlfriend, and she started to searching for safari’s guide company. It was easy to choose Lion King adventures, always replying fast and giving us all the information we needed. I was thinking to surprise my girlfriend and propose to her, sharing it with Lion king’s staff before the travel by WhatsApp. They were so kind, trying to help that surprise would be amazing. They did it! When we arrived at Arusha’s airport, they picked us up there and we began our adventure. Jeffrey was the driver for the transfer to the first hotel and he was very friendly and helpful. The first hotel was great. The day after we met our safari’s Guide, Enock. He was really great, telling us about culture, about the animals and environment. He knows pretty well all the national parks we visited, knows where to find the most dificult animals and always let us take lots of pictures. He helped me with the proposal and I really thankful about it. Everything was really great: hotels, guiding, experience, food (daily breakfast, lunch and dinners). We didn’t have any problems at all. We strongly recommend Lion King Adventures for your Safari trip. I’m sure we will come back sometime!

Arranged a rather last minute trip for my family (started arranging 2 weeks before departure) - we flew overnight to Dar, from there to Arusha arrivinga at 09 hrs and started immediately our safari with LionKing (got numerous offers and negotiated a tailor-made solution from that for us adding some things and removing some, they were the most flexible, sensibel and communicative, thnx Gordon!) In 2 hrs were in Tarangire (might have been the only mistake we made as we were rather sleepy the first day having almost not slept on flight - so did not get to appreciate all as intensely, snoozed some naps in between). Our guide Salehe was top noch - competent, friendly, not overbearing. Drove safely - that we come to appreciate especially seeing some broken or stuck vehicles. First night in Karatu, from there transit of Ngorongoro and around south rim of Serengeti - lions, elephants and giraffes a plenty. But that also yielded a leopard on a tree and 3 cheetahs sleeping in grass from ca 5m distance. And to crown it our guide found first a lion in bush. We got stuck, so had to wait. From there a lioness with 3 cubs emerged, and went for a drink nearby. We got out as well. For overnight at Noyora lodge inside Serengeti that was fantastic (will review separately). 3-rd day inside serengeti - lions, elephant herds (biggest ca 40), giraffes. But also hippo ponds and a croco. Zebras and wildebeest as long as eye could take. Back on 4-th day through Ngorongoro - adding flamingos and 2 rhinos - albeti those from quite some distance. And were extremely lucky to see 2 young male lions attemt a hunt on buffalos. To our daughters delight a narrow miss. But part of the case was literally 10 m away from our car. last night in Kartau Marera Lodge again. I had specifically asked also for Manyara lake, compared to others it was not so exciting (we only had the morning) but still happy we saw it - pity the flood damage (dried acacias) and the fact waterbirds are gone (supposedly agricultural pesticides flow from upstream). In sum, almost perfect, esp the parts LionKing was doing.

I had one of the best experiences of my life going on safari with Lion King! From the first contact via email to define the itinerary, until the last day of the safari, the entire Lion King team was extremely professional and kind. They helped me with all my questions about the itinerary, accommodation, prices, Tanzania visa, etc. I can't put into words the safari experience! Our guide Enock was wonderful and made it easy for us to see all the animals and learn so much about the wildlife and culture of the Serengeti. Enock is very experienced and knew where it would be easiest to find even the shyest animals, such as leopards and rhinos. He was responsible for helping us realize our dream of seeing all the animals up close! All accommodations were excellent, very comfortable and we had delicious meals! I'm so grateful to the Lion King team for helping my boyfriend (now fiancé) prepare a beautiful sunset surprise for him to propose to me. I can't thank you all enough! Thank you so much Lion King for this incredible experience, which I will forever carry in my heart!

Our trip was truly amazing and unforgettable! This is the first time my Dad and I set foot on Africa, not knowing what to expect but we were very well taken care the whole time. From the start, despite a slight misunderstanding, Baraka and Nickson hospitably talked us through patiently with quick and thorough responds until we were happy with our tailor-made itinerary. We were greeted with the warm and friendly welcome from Tumain who brought us on a half-day city tour in Arusha. He was responsive and kind, sharing everything he knows about the city. He also provides useful and prompt advice once he knew about our situation with the disappointing self-book accommodation. We are grateful to have met him in first two days in Tanzania. Our safari guide Immanuel Chamboa is amazing! During the five days we spent with Immanuel, he had been patient, attentive and showcased rich knowledge and sensitivity about wild animals. We are impressed by how he was always able to spot aniamls while driving and communicating with others guides on radio for long hours. Moreover, we appreciate that he always made sure we got the best angle for watching and taking photos. Even when Immanuel was not feeling well, he tried his best to guide us around. Not only did he answer all our questions, he also actively added on interesting facts about animals and the environment while sharing with us the beautiful and detailed illustration on his books. We were glad to have such an experienced guide with us so that we were reminded everytime we were about to overlook or miss-recognise an animal. Immanuel is also an exceptional driver. The jeep is super comfortable. He knew where to drive and which road to take so that we were able to see the cats hiding in the long grass while others taking the main road were left disappointed. We were able to catch the cheetach far away thanks to his fast and exciting drive on grumpy and muddy roads as well as to take some much-needed good rest inside his slow and steady car. Most importantly, Immanuel prioritised our safety. One morning after some heavy rain, one of the bridges was flooded. He chose to observe and wait before he successfully drove us through the running water. We always know that we are in safe hands. In general, the trip is nicely organised that my father and I got to immerse ourselves in different amazing landscapes and successfully saw the big-five! (As Immanuel always says, POLE POLE & you’ll see, and we surely did!) For accommodations, all of them are comfortable and the staffs were beyond helpful and polite. Nyota Luxary Camp was our favourite, we truly enjoyed the dance and music as well as the beautiful interior of the room. The tented camp inside Serengeti is slightly different with a much simpler set up but it still met our basic needs. We are also well fed with hot food everyday. There were anything that worried us and we spent a chilled and fruitful eye-openning five days with Immanuel and other lovely staffs. It’s definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We could not thank everyone we met enough. We strongly recommend Lion King Adventures!!!

Bravo Lion King Adventures, Asante sana for another awesome safari and birding adventure in your wonderful country with our guide , Richard. This is our second safari with Richard; we had such a great birding and gaming safari experience with him last year, that we requested him again. Richard, was professional, friendly and attentive to what we wanted to see and learn from our safari. We noted that every day, Richard was punctual, professionally dressed , arriving in a clean and tidy jeep. Our safari may have been bit of a detour from the proverbial tracking of the big 5. We are birders , so, with Richard’s ornithological expertise, we collaborated in finding the feathered “gems” along the safari trail, while also looking for animals. We encountered a Vitelline Masked Weaver starting his nest building duties from a tree branch, plucking reeds from below, bringing them to the branch, weaving them with his bill, shaping what would become a gourd type house around his body. We were able to identify 140 species of birds, thanks to Richard’s expertise. We both felt that our birding knowledge increased immensely from this trip. Thank you, Richard ! Another highlight of our trip was witnessing a Wildebeest calving, “cheering on” the calf, wobbling his way into a new life. Can’t forget the lioness, who summoned her rambunctious cubs from the bushes, leading them across water, gently nudging them along or picking them up by the scuffs of their necks- with utmost patience. On the last day of our trip, we enjoyed a city tour with our knowledgeable guide Chaz, who introduced us to the local market, the Tanzanite Museum and the Museum of Natural History, all worth a visit. It was a wonderful way to end our safari.

The entire experience was first-class. From the moment we made contact with Lion King Adventures expressing interest in the tour, they were so helpful. They provided a detailed itinerary and answered all of our questions. Once booked, they were just as helpful when it came to planning things like picking up and dropping us off. They were there waiting for us when we arrived in Arusha, and took us to our beautiful lodge to rest after a long journey. The following day, the safari tour began. We had the most amazing guide - Enock - who did an incredible job driving us around for 5 long days. He showed us around the beautiful parks of Tarangire, Karatu, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, where we got up close to loads of zebras, elephants, hippos, leopards, lions, monkeys and giraffes - just to name a few! Enock was so well-informed about every animal we encountered, and had so many interesting facts about the history of the parks. Every lunchtime he found a picnic spot and unpacked a delicious prepared hot meal, complete with beer and wine. Every evening we found ourselves in a stunning lodge with even more delicious food and great views. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
