We originally had the 30minute session booked, however, it was later suggested that we take the 1 hour session instead and we are so glad we did. Very enjoyable trip, and the scenery and track you get with the longer ride was definitely worth it for us. We will be back to try some of their other activities in the future.

Another fantastic visit! Did the 4x4 buggy & clay bird shooting & had a blast (pardon the pun) Everyone at Adventure Playground are incredibly professional & freindly. Definitely going back!

Visiting New Zealand and Rotorua from the States, and happened to just drive by this adventure company. We picked the 4 person 4x4 tour. "Eazy" was our guide. Very knowledgeable about the area and full of energy. We spent a hour driving around the hills, the forest and back roads. Great views and real fun. Wintertime is mild and a great time to go in my opinion (especially if you are from the States and want to be out of bad heat/humidity from home). Be sure to stop by and check them out when in Rotorua!

This was a fantastic way to explore the forests and see the beautiful views of the lake and the city below. This was our favourite activity during our weeklong trip to Rotorua. Will definitely be back to do this again.

We had a really good instructor, I believe his name was Matt? He made time to get to know us and have a genuine conversation. It was a really enjoyable experience and would do it especially if Matt was there :)

Great staff & brilliant design of the track! A very exciting experience that can’t be missed! We also tried the clay shooting. The coach provided clear instructions & encouraging active. Great stuff!

I had an amazing experience of driving an ATV buggy at Adventure Playground. My guides Steve and Craig were awesome. They made sure that I had the best adventure and fun I was looking for without compromising on safety . I had a nice and insightful conversation with Craig, gem of a person. They were really helpful and entertaining.

Excellent shooting experience. But worst experience for 4*4 bugee driving. They have written self drive but it’s not correct, they place you in passenger seat till half the road. Never take bugee self ride as it is just a waste of money nothing else than that.

Beautiful land, great views and the guides were friendly and knowledgeable! Would highly recommend this tour.

Definitely the highlight of our time in rotorua and I would say one of the best activities. We bought a double pass and did the Yamaha self drive and the clay bird shooting! I really enjoyed both experiences. Bruce was our drive guide and he was awesome! So friendly and he takes amazing pics! Sean was our guide for clay bird shooting and he was super professional and made the experience that much more enjoyable! Thank you adventure playground for giving us memories we will never forget and that drive was one for the books! A must do in rotorua!

You must try this, awesome experience. Now we have a family agreement to come here every time we visit Rotorua.

awesome day out thanks to the host Erykha for making it happen! me and my fiancée had a blast shooting the clay pidgins for starters, the crew here were on it regarding setting us up and tips on how to shoot. then it was the self-drive buggys which was awesome fun, tearing up and down the farm and into native bush areas to get low down and muddy. had fun getting stuck in the mud and the rescue that followed was a laugh, thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and the crew were awesome! keep up the good work...

The young lady at the front desk who returned my 3 missed calls (coz I was uncertain about whether or not I could make the times) was absolutely lovely! We arrived literally 16 minutes after our conversation as I really wanted to do the self-drive activity & the clay shooting but online it said there were no times available until the afternoon, but she squeezed us in at 11.30! Our driving instructor Joshua was awesome! He gave detailed safety instructions which were clear (only a fool would miss/forget/not listen too). He respected & understood my own lack of confidence with driving the buggy, so advised me when the easier routes were coming up so that I could have aturn driving & could switch with my partner who did most of the driving. We made pit stop at the top to appreciate the epic view of Lake Rotorua & took some incredible scenic photos, thanks to the help of Joshua for taking some panoramic shots of us also! Then continued to the forest to appreciate the ngahere leased to Adventure Playground where Joshua showed us a little whare that the team themselves had built for the patupairehe (forest fairies). Then we returned to base to be given another buggy ride (as passengers this time) by Ihaia who was taking us Clay Shooting. From the drive alone I enjoyed Ihaia korero! (even if some of it was banter between us maori). At the shooting range, he explained all the do's & don't of using the guns, the different types of guns we could use & general safety advice. Ihaia was respectful & patient with myself & my partner the entire time! He made the entire experience fun & gave us little challenges to better improve our shots & boost our confidence trying the different guns & taking various shots! He also took some incredibly close-up slow-mo's of us shooting (even if I didn't land many haha) lastly, he took some epic photos of myself & my partner! (Ihaia, are you a part-time photographer in your spare time!? haha!). Thank you all so much for the amazing experience, I couldn't rave about the experience enough!

We loved the whole experience. So much fun and a great way to see Rotorua from an amazing advantage point. Our 2 guides were amazing. Good work Erica !! Will be recommending this to anyone going to Rotorua.

Awesome experience and a definate MUST DO when you are in Rotorua! Our guide Joshua was amazing and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable at all times. The views were breathtaking and we got our fill of adrenaline rush.. can't wait to head back and do it all over again!

What an awesome experience it is! We had Izzy as our tour guide and he was really fun and a very informative one! Lots of tricks in taking a good photo :) The views of Rotorua from the the top was very nice. We were lucky to be in a nice weather (gloomy and a little bit of rain) which makes the forest encounter much better. Happy to hear that they are making more activities in the next few months so watch for it! We'll surely be back for that. Thank you Adventure Playground for the wonderful experience!

It was just us and our guide Ester, what a great trip. Plenty of pot holes and twists and turns to get your adrenaline going. Great view points to take photos of Lake Rotorua and Rotoiti beyond. But my favourite part was the forest stop it was so tranquil . Ester was an excellent guide, very informative and has a great sense of humour. It’s a must do activity if you are in Rotorua rain or shine. Thanks guys for the experience.

Wow what a fun time!! This was far better than I had imagined. I thought we were going for a quiet 4x4 drive, when in fact we got to race up and down the mountain in very quick Off Road Machines!! A good driving challenge and a truly exhilarating experience! 5 Stars!
