The 4x4 tour was an absolute highlight of our trip to Porto - I could not recommend it more strongly. An excellent combination of thrills, food and views, it was made all the better by our guide, Ricardo, who made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout the trip.

We wanted to do something to get us out of the crowds of Porto and this tour sounded interesting. You may think a 4x4 ride would just be driving around the mountains - it was sooo much more! It was the highlight of Porto and the entire trip to Portugal. Our tour guide Ricardo, was an amazing host - the tour started about 20 mins outside of Porto and when we got to the mountain, the fun began. Ricardo showed us some old Roman ruins, took us to the very top for amazing views, gave us a lot of history of the area and some "fun" things along the way. Then, we had to go down the mountain - OMG, you stand up in the Land Rover and it's better than a Disney World ride! I could go on but I would give away all of Ricardo's secrets - the last thing I'll say is the last stop was memorable - something that will stay with me for a long, long time. I cannot recommend this gem of a tour enough - don't miss it.

THe BEST trip! SO much fun! Definitely do this! It was a short trip to the mountain is about half an hour and then really really cool. Exciting blast around the mountains where you can stand up in the jeep. Ricardo was brilliant very informative. Interesting beautiful, finishing with a lovely glass of green wine at the end, my kids adored this and said it was one of the best trips they never done. Definitely definitely recommend this!

Stopped at historic bakery for samples and then up the mountain. Yummy home made Portugal baked goods and Beautiful views from the mountain!

We had a great morning with Ricardo. We really enjoyed travelling up and down the narrow, bumpy mountain roads. The views were spectacular. My favorite part was having the roof down and standing up in the jeep. So much fun. Ricardo was very attentive and his driving skills excellent.

Ricardo was great and the route and scenery were great. This is a great excursion. We had a great day, great weather and great company.

Our guide Josué was great and the tour itself was awesome. We enjoyed the whole tour, especially the views on the swing and the little walk in the village.

The tour was a wonderful experience. Our operator was friendly and accommodating, taking us to a few stops on the way to the mountains to buy souvenirs. Going up the mountains in the 4x4 is quite bumpy but very fun and we saw the amazing views of porto from the heights of the mountains, as well as some of the smaller towns nearby like Valongo. Definitely recommend this if you're visiting porto for the first time with a group.

I would highly recommend this experience, I will be telling all my family/friends about this. I would do it all over again if I came back to Porto! It absolutely amazing! Especially if you want a fun, adventurous & unique experience in Porto. Can’t believe how much is included as part of the package and no pressures or cons to buy things whilst on the tour. Ricardo our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, he made us feel totally comfortable. His driving was the perfect combination of exciting but safe the whole time. The views were breathtaking and learnt so much about the environment, culture etc An experience to remember!

Highly recommended! If you're an adventure seeker, this is for you! The mountain is only 20 minutes drive from the center. Josué was really great, he gave us a small gift from the cookie shop. I love the 4x4 car, interior is really cool. I booked this tour the last minute and it didn't disappoint! You get to go at the highest point of Porto, get to view the whole of Porto, visit the smallest village in the mountain and drink Port wine at the end of the trip. We had good weather so it was really cool standing in the car. Rain or shine, still a great experience!

Ricardo was an excellent guide and helped us make the best of the poor weather. We felt like we were in good hands while climbing through the mountains and enjoyed the stops at the bakery and bar. We’d highly recommend the tour for anyone interested in getting out of the city and having a little adventure.

Did this in January with a group of 4 - we a brilliant time. Our tour guide, Josué, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable which added a lot to the excursion. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about Porto, get amazing views of the city/countryside and enjoys a bit of a rollercoaster ride in the jeep! This was a great alternative to other bus tours in the area. Ricardo our guide was awesome and provided great information on the area. The ride through the rough road with a 4x4 was superb. On top of that the view was stunning.

Josué was a wonderful guide with lots of knowledge about and love for the mountains. Despite the weather not cooperating entirely, he was prepared and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
