The train ride to the meeting point was really beautiful one of the highlights of my trip actually. The tour guides were very kind! and ready to answer any question you might have. The visit to the monasteries started around noon - 1pm and The views are incredible. If there is an afternoon- evening tour I recommend this instead.

Visited them recently and had a great time. Stacy (our guide) and Steve (our driver) met us at the Kalambaka bus stop, and made sure we had a very good trip. We managed to stop for a quick, but very good lunch at a local restaurant. We got sufficient time to see 3 monasteries, all with very different stories and characters of their own. Stacy told us a bunch of stuff, and answered our many questions, and also took some very nice photos for us. Would highly recommend these guys!

We had a great time. Booked this tour just the day before and everything was organised perfectly. There were 8 of us and the tour started at 10am to fit our schedule. Stacy, the guide is young, energetic and informative. We saw 3 of the monasteries from the outside and went into the other 3 monasteries. You can choose the monasteries to enter. Although we drove to Meteora and could have driven to the monasteries, taking this tour is highly recommended as we were able to understand and get the picture of what Meteora and the monasteries is about with the info from Stacy. Thank you for the great experience.

We had an amazing hike guided by the very knowledgeable and delightful Christos who is clearly passionate about Meteora and sharing his extensive knowledge. The pace set was perfect for our group and we saw much much more than we had the previous day in our minibus. Breathtaking. Would highly recommend.

Our tour leader Christina and driver were delightful, friendly and informative. We had to wait for other guests to arrive on a bus from Athens, which delayed the start of the trip, but we were not rushed as a consequence. We saw everything the tour advertised, and traveled in a comfortable air-conditioned van. The monasteries and scenery surrounding was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this tour. Be prepared to climb steps to monasteries!

Xrisa and Stathis were excellent guides, very good English and a lot of knowledge about the Meteoras and the life during the times. We have enjoyed it a lot and fully recommend them ! Thanks for this perfect morning visit !

We came on a trip to Greece with our three children (ages 8-12) and were debating whether to take the tour because 4 hours sounds very long to us with children. Happily, we met Chrissa, the guide who accompanied us. A beautiful girl, full of energy, knowledge and patience who knew how to make the entire tour accessible to us and the children in a most fascinating way! Contrary to all concerns, unfortunately the tour went by very quickly and we were left with a taste for more. ❤️

Really lovely tour. This local company ran it for me although I was the only person who booked for this day. Plenty of interesting information and photo opportunities. I was picked up from my hotel (Guest house Oikia) and Penny lead the tour, she was very knowledgeable. Very good value if I’d been in a small group but excellent value for a solo tour. Let the guide know if you have any mobility issues - only one monastery I visited had no steps and some have more than others.

Great experience! These guys are courteous, knowledgeable, well organized. Advice to travelers: Try to finish your lunch during your train journey, that way you won’t be wasting your time at Meteora and instead can visit more monasteries and nunneries!

The monasteries are absolutely beautiful, the terrain and natural beauty is wonderful. Stathis originally was to be our guide, but due to circumstances and travel delays on my part, I wasn’t able to meet the original date. Stathis was very welcoming and appreciative of me being there, and went out of his way to make sure that I was taken care of, and set me up with another tour guide on the day that I was able to come. This guide, Jim, was extremely informative and enthusiastic about telling his lifelong experiences living and growing up in the area. He also had an extensive knowledge of botany and geology, which was really interesting to hear. The tour of four hours was just long enough to let you see everything and motivate you to come back when you have more time, not too short and not too long. The town of kalambaka itself is very nice and is the type of place you would want to spend three or four days at least there. Nice restaurants with delicious Greek food, and coffee and pastry shops, all of course, reasonably priced. I would’ve liked to have stayed longer so I could walk the trails between all of the mountain monasteries. From what I saw, they were well paved with bricks and tiles. I loved hearing the Monastery bells in the distance at different times during the day, as I am a bell ringer myself. The spiritual aspect of the monasteries is wonderful, although anyone would enjoy it whether you are religious or not, because of the natural beauty and architectural beauty, as well as the abundance of history that you learn about. All in all it was a great experience, and the only downside was that I didn’t have more time there this time.

Overall, the tour was excellent. The vehicle to transport us was new. Pick up and drop off from hotel was organised. The guide Thanasis was very knowledgeable. He is a local that grew up in the area. He spoke both in English and Greek. His local knowledge helped with choosing the best photo locations too.

Last Saturday, on a very hot day, Christos and the bus driver picked up our group promptly at our hotel and provided an amazing guided experience of Meteora. Christos was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and kind. His knowledge and passion for the area and monasteries was remarkable. He made the tour very fun and interactive, and we would absolutely book with him again on a future tour. Highly recommend him and his company!

The tour guide and the driver gave the first class service to us. It was very interactive. The explanation was comprehensive and interesting. Also we have been taken to the most impressive scenery we will never forget.

Trotz schlechten Wetters eine super interessant Tour. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und hatten daher eine Privattour😀 unser Guide hat uns viel zur Geschichte erzählt und an den besten Orten zum Fotografieren angehalten. Ich kann die Tour nur empfehlen! Fahrer und Guide waren super nett.

Die Reiseführerin sprach sehr gut Deutsch. Wir wurden ausführlich über die Besonderheiten der Klöster informiert, damit wurde die Besichtigung besonders eindrücklich. Auf unsere Wünsche (Haltepunkte, Fotopunkte...) wurde eingegangen. Wir hatten einen regnerischen Tag, doch das Team von Meteora Rocks Travel machte für uns daraus trotzfem ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Herzlichen Dank an Chrysia und Stathis.

Sehr gute Führung und Erläuterungen zu den Klöstern und deren Geschichte. Viel gelernt und auch Freude daran gehabt. Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall mehr, als auf Eigene Faust alles zu erkunden.
