We had a great sail with Dallas, he was very knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. We were able to glimpse some orcas and dolphins during the trip as well. An afternoon well spent!

Super fun sailing. Our captain made it interesting and fun. Got to see dolphins and we had some strong winds, I got sail big boat again.

Booked a 4 hour Sailing Adventure over 3 weeks ago. Was informed at the time that Carl would be our skipper and we would be sailing on Starlight. Was billed and paid in full promptly. Informed yesterday that, due to some health issues with a staff member, there were no boats available in Sooke?!? Instead, what was offered was for us to go to Sidney, on the other side of the island, and sail out of there despite not a single word on their site about Sidney. Well, we aren't staying in Victoria, we are staying in Sooke and a trip to Sidney is an hour-and-a-half each way. I mean, who wants to do all that windshield time, not to mention the fuel expense and general pain when we were anticipating a leisurely breakfast and stroll to the dock for our sail...in Sooke? So I dug in a bit and saw on their updated calendar that the vessel we were assigned to, Starlight, was now booked for a 5 day trip and we were kicked to the curb. Had Gord offered anything sailing out of Sooke, I would have happily accepted. Instead, he proposed a burdensome, more expensive and certainly not equal alternative that would have utterly shattered the expected tranquility of a leisurely sail out of Sooke. No thank you! The whole experience left me feeling like I was dealing with an airline; bumping us for a more lucrative opportunity, the disingenuous and delusional offer of an inferior, more difficult and non-viable alternative and the hollow apologies that Gord wished "none of this would have happened". Well, had he honored our arrangement none of this would have happened. Had he provided a viable alternative, none of this would have happened. He did neither. Bottom line is his shuffling around charters and money grab caught him with his pants down and, if it happened to me it could happen to you also. Caveat emptor... BTW - I discussed this with Gord so he is not unaware

Gord was a great captain. If you are interested in sailing, this is an excellent way to spend the day.

Wonderful experience, that we'll never forget! Gord is a great instructor, with so much knowledge, and beautiful stories to share. He made us feel welcome and safe at sea. We loved every minute, and the fact we got to experience the sea in a little wilder conditions, and also in its tranquility.

Outstanding!! Gord was kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and an easy laugh. For those who wanted to, the sailing was very hands on under Gord's thoughtful guidance. We sailed the Strait of Juan de Fuca approaching international waters. Perfect conditions and a fantastic 32' keelboat in excellent shape. Exhilarating!

Fabulous trip. Intrepid novices to sea sailing in anything bigger than a dingy but had a wonderful time. Gord, the instructor was fantastic. Highly recommend this for anybody wanting a taste of sailing.

We are from the UK, visiting Vancouver Island, and booked a 4 hour sailing trip with Gord. We had a brilliant time. Gord is a very patient and knowledgable instructor as well as being great company with a good sense of humour. Even though we were novices Gord encouraged us to get involved with the sailing, letting us take the helm and put up/take down sails etc. Got to see some lovely scenery along with thoroughly enjoying the sailing. Would highly recommend the trip.

Our Captain (Dallas) made sure we had the best experience possible and encouraged us to let him know where we would like to go and what we would like to to do. He was very knowledgeable about the area and kept our interest throughout the afternoon. The purpose of our trip was to spread my brother's ashes and he was very respectful accommodating.

What a wonderful experience! Truly memorable learning about the boat and the techniques to sail. Mitchell was very personable and knowledge not only about sailing but also some historical facts of the area. We felt comfortable and encouraged every step of the journey. We were not sure the type of sail boat we would be on as the photo images on the site differ than from what we actually sailed on. This is the only reason we weren’t able to give a full star review. Thank you for a wonderful memory.

This was such a great thing to do on Vancouver Island, when there are so many tours to choose from. We had a 4 hour sail with Dallas. We helped a bit. He did a lot. We learned what we wanted to know and enjoyed the day tremendously. This was easy to book and communicate with Gord. Dallas was very chill and interesting and we learned a lot about the island. He also made a point of taking us to see the seals sunning themselves. It was a great way to spend an authentic afternoon on Vancouver Island.

Our entire family had an exceptional time! It was the ideal gift for my husband‘s birthday! Gord was incredible at coaching us any giving instructions on how to sail. Neither of us had ever sailed before and we had an exceptional time! I highly recommend this tour for anyone remotely interested in sailing. Gord was also wonderful with our two children who thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the 4 hour trip. We all learned a ton and had a blast doing it.

Es war ein großartiges Erlebnis. Der Skipper hat uns steuern lassen und wir haben viel gesehen. Es hat sich wie ein Wochenendausflug mit Freunden angefühlt. Es war lustig,ungezwungen und informativ. Man muss allerdings seefest sein. Wir werden diesen Trip nie vergessen. Es war wunderbar.
