Egypt is an exotic and beautiful country with an impressive history. This is the second time and we once again used the services of Mohamed Eldaheshi and Roxana Travel. As a private guide, they provided us with transfers to all the sites we wanted to see with excellent knowledge of Egyptian history. Very interactive and helpful. Mohamed was always attentive to all our needs. The Nile cruise was spectacular. The cruise ship staff were extremely helpful and polite. Take the time to sail the Nile. It is worth every penny and every minute. It is fabulous to see the sunrise and sunset over the Nile.

I went to Luxor and Aswan with 4 friends and we wanted to make the Hot Air Balloon through Luxor….and we have texted mohamed Hamzawy ….he was helpful and very flexible with us and also so patient….he responded quickly for every question we have …he also recommended us yo visit Aswan and we enjoyed our time with him….his service is perfect…his team was attentive….every moment was amazing during the tour …he is totally amazing ….highly recommended ….the nile cruise….and the sights everything was just perfect…..ask for Hamzaway in Luxor if you want to have a great experience 👌🏻😉

Our guide Mohamed Hamzawy was a very professional person with vast knowledge of the history and the Egypt culture with people. He is up to date on new discoveries at the monuments. Also he was attentive to all our needs and wants to make sure his clients are happy and feel safe. He took care of us from our arrival until the end of our stay. The staff on board very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic and excellent cleaning. This trip was perfect, it met all our expectations and we will definitely repeat it again. The cruise itself was great, but we had terrible experience with the tour guide. Ahmed was our tour guide, he was very unprofessional. First of all, he claimed he talked to the captain and had our room upgraded, but it was a lie. On our first day tour, he had us late leaving and coming back late for an hour, almost missing our cruise. And ultimately cost everyone on the cruise time lost on Kom Ombo. We are very unhappy, we arrive every site late and have too many tourists. Book the cruise with Sonesta directly to avoid unprofessional guide.

Mohammad's explication was excellent. He gave us key points, to understand better the history of Egypt. Mohammad himself is really patient, very good person and an excepcional guide. We (family of 3) really recommend Mohammad as a guide :)

First, our tour guide Mansuor deserves 5 stars for his detailed explanations of the temples and historic places. He allows you to make sense out of the pictures and carvings you see in the temple. He also answered our questions very well and he is passionate about his work. He also makes sure that you don’t miss the boat and he buys you water (as Egyptian he gets a much lower price than a tourist) and other things along the way. The drivers were also great with nice air conditioned cars and trying their best to fit the very tight schedule (even if that means a bit of speeding ;) ). We had a different tour with an other guide in Cairo before and compared to our other tour in Cairo, Mansuor gave us options on what to do and we had time to think about those options. For example to visit additional sites he communicated costs and contents or if we would want to go to a place where they sell crafts to tourists. As a comparison, our previous guide brought us to a papyrus place without telling us that this was just a sales show (we didn’t buy anything) or to a completely overpriced camel tour. Mansuor didn’t do this and was very honest with what we will see. It was a very tight schedule but he did his absolute best (and very well) to make it happen and adjust to the preferences of the people. For example in the valley of the kings he brought us to a tomb without many people where we had quiet time to see and experience the place. So overall Mansuor did an amazing job. Unfortunately our balloon ride was cancelled due to windy weather but we got 60 USD back for our two tickets (30 USD each). Mansuor brought this directly to our hotel. The cruise ship was very nice with a very attentive and caring crew. Food was good but more vegetarian options would have been great, so that you don’t only have to eat the sides. The negative sides of our Egypt trip in general (so not the fault of the tour or the guide): First of all, a huge load of people around tourist places want to trick or fool you. You will be bothered NONSTOP which makes the time really annoying and sometimes you cannot even enjoy the places. We usually treat people politely, but this will get you nowhere in Egypt - you have to make clear harshly that they should not bother you. In Luxor we wanted to see a bit the market and possibly buy some spices or other things, but after a few meters we returned to our cruise ship because we didn’t feel comfortable being bothered from all sides. Unfortunately so many people don’t care if you have a good time or not, they just try to press out any dollar possible instead of trying to get happy tourists that come back another time. We‘ve been to many different countries in the whole world, so we do have a comparison. The tipping system is another annoying thing. You are constantly asked to give tips, sometimes much more than what we thought would be appropriate. You have to consider that the average income in Egypt is around 300 USD per month, so tipping multiple dollars for a small service doesn’t make much sense. What was especially bothering us is that you can never be sure if you are being tricked or if something is appropriate. But consider an additional 100 USD for random tipping (crew of the ship, drivers, guide, and many random services that we didn’t think would be tip-worthy because you already paid for the service). Also you don’t know what an appropriate tip is so you are constantly left with the feeling of either insertions or being fooled. But that’s something the you have to deal with when you want to visit Egypt. Again, this is not the fault of this tour, but just the way tourism is in Egypt.

The van is clean and cool. The temples incredible. The ship is a classic Nile cruise boat. Just as I dreamed. The room and bathroom are Excellent. The food very tasty. The crew friendly. We are very pleased.
