During our 13-day trip to Tanzania, we chose Gosheni Safaris. Excellent guides can quickly lead you to where the animals are, and they will share information through walkie-talkies. William is very friendly to children and patient in explaining. On the last day, we drove farther to see cheetahs, but the road was not easy to drive. Fortunately, the cheetah got on our car. Because of the rainy season, the car got stuck in the mud. William was very experienced and quickly dealt with the problem. So it is very important to choose an experienced guide on the trip.

The guide (Douglas) was very very knowledgeable, the cook that came along was cooking simple but very tasty food. The company was very helpful. Both Serengeti and Ngorongoro are fantastic places, I will go back one day. We saw most animals you could expect to see. And Ngorongoro it´s just like Eden The bad things was two nights in a tent with a paper thin mattress and a very hard pillow. The accommodation was not in standard with the price.

Thank you very much for an amazing experience! It has been a true pleasure to go on safari with Meru Slopes! Our wonderful driver Jacob has shown us all the best of Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. Jacob has been a skilled guide who has taken us safely and smoothly and shown us the incredible wildlife of Africa. He is always in a good mood and creates a great atmosphere. The trip would not have been the same without dear Moshi. Our very skilled chef who has provided us with fabulous meals at all times of the day. He always has a smile on his face and is incredibly pleasant to everyone. He is a fantastic man who deserves a lot of praise! Together, Jacob and Moshi have given us fantastic settings, good structure, security, and a very memorable trip from start to finish. Thank you so much! Meru Slopes has also been a great organizer of our safari. They respond quickly to emails and assist when needed. Warmest recommendations if you want a fantastic safari!

We have just returned from a 4-day (group) safari with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris which encompassed Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP, and Ngorongoro Crater. In short: What a fantastic trip! Everything went well from the very start. We wanted to use a local company and cast our net to see what would come back. Kelvin at the office end of things got back to us promptly with some options. Nicely detailed offer which answered pretty much all of the basic questions. We made a few adjustments, which were easily and quickly taken care of, and all inquiries were answered literally within minutes. I tell people that the longest we waited to hear back from Kelvin was five hours, and we think it was because it was a Saturday. Maybe. As for the safari itself, our driver guide and cook, Robert and Saleem, met us at our hotel and off we went. First stop: Tarangire NP. Within 20 minutes of arriving, we are already seeing wildlife. Elephants galore! Robert was super friendly, flexible, and a very knowledgeable guide. He was always on the lookout for animals, and he was pretty ‘eagle eyed’ and easily spotted so much. We also liked how all the drivers from all the tour operators worked together, sharing tips and knowledge of locations with each other. Robert was also a fantastic driver; we felt very safe and comfortable despite the bouncing around – all part of the safari experience! When dropping us off at our accommodations, Robert always made sure we were actually checked in and had the room key in our hands before he left us. One night, he stayed at the same place and ate with us. Gotta love the Tanzanian hospitality! Saleem, our cook, also did a fantastic job, feeding us a fresh hot lunch every day. We saw quite a few other tours with boxed lunches so were grateful for the delicious food Saleem prepared for us. Lots of rice, vegetable curries, chicken, chapati, pizza or chips even, fruits, and some nice coffee to finish off our meal. Amazing what he could come up with the simple facilities and equipment available to him. We carried on towards the Serengeti, and we saw so SO much – more than we ever expected. We loved our bush camp experience where we saw a big bull elephant coming into the camp, drinking some water, and then carrying on his way. Right before our very eyes! We saw the Big 5 – two different leopards, in fact; one of them twice – and so much more. Countless different birds and smaller animals. We would definitely recommend Meru Slopes as a safari operator when in Tanzania and would use them again if we are ever lucky enough to return to Tanzania. Please give smaller, local companies a chance instead of making the bigger companies bigger. PS: Robert, Kelvin and Geoffery were able to get a T-shirt delivered to our hotel after the safari, so that is customer service above and beyond, if you ask me 😊 Kasan jema, to Kelvin, Robert and Saleem. Asante sana.

The experience exceeded our expectations. Before the trip the team at Meru slopes (especially Gift Tembo) was incredibly patient and cordial; they worked with us to find an itinerary that fit our budget and covered what we wanted to do (we preferred to go to Materuni than Tarangire, and they were fine with that). We also wanted a different accommodation in Arusha and they included it in our package and coordinated with the local accommodation directly. During the trip the guides were always on time, we had the fortune of having Patrick for our Serengeti and Ngorongoro tour, and Fidelis for our day in the Materuni Village. They were both outstanding! Patrick is kind, always happy and knowledgeable, and you can see how much he loves the animals during the game drives. Our cook Yohana (we did not realize we were having our personal cook through the trip) was very nice as well and accommodating of the different dietary restrictions of the people in our group, which the vegetarians in our tour really appreciated. All meals were delicious. Fidelis was very friendly and energetic, kept his eyes open to find small things in our hike we would enjoy (like a chameleon in the leaves!) and made sure to take us to all the items on our wish list in the day we had with him. The cars were kept clean with water, you can charge your phone, there are books to consult about the animals and Tanzanian culture during the game drives, and I really have absolutely nothing negative to say about this company. Would use them again and recommend them with my eyes closed.

This safari exceeded all my expectations. Our guide Jacob was excellent: patient, knowledgeable and fun. He completely adapted to our needs, took us to secluded spots with no other cars around, we saw literally every animal from up close. Our chef Dula was also fantastic, we had 3x delicious meals every day. Couldn’t recommend them more!!!! Thank you ♥️

We had a great experience on Safari with Meru Slopes. From the start, it was very easy to organise, and once we had outlined what we were looking to do and see, Jerome was very quick to send us the relevant quotes and information. We did a customised version of the 4 day group tour, with an extra day added at the end to see Lake Manyara. Jerome met us at our hotel on the day we commenced, and he outlined the itinerary that we would follow over the following 5 days. We had paid 15% in advance by card, and the remaining sum in cash when we started the Safari. We met our guide Nuruu and picked up the other tour members. We have to hand special praise to Nuruu. He was a really a fantastic guide. He was committed to getting us to see the animals that we wanted, and went out of his way to help us find them, particularly on the Serengeti and in Ngorongoro crater. He knew all of the animals that we encountered, from the big predators down to the smallest birds and insects. On top of this, we had some great conversations in the evenings where he told us about about life in Tanzania and among the Maasai. Selim, our cook, also did a great job, and the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners were all great. Regarding the animals - we managed to see the "Big 5", the "Ugly 5" and the great migration. I did not expect to see as many elephants as we did in Tarangire, with one bull elephant coming right up and almost looking us in the eye. We saw plenty of monkeys and baboons, and many giraffes grazing on the acacia trees as we passed from Ngorongoro into the Serengeti region. We were particularly happy with getting to see lions up close, as well as some cheetahs. We saw rhinos in Ngorongoro, and a leopard in the Serengeti, but both from far off. On the last day, after leaving Lake Manyara, Nuruu took us to see a Maasai cattle mart, where we got a chance to see them loading up the purchased goats and cows. People cooked freshly killed meat over charcoal and we saw many stalls selling sundry vegetables, tools and clothes. It was an interesting cultural experience. We were lucky to have had a really nice group of people with us doing the safari. It honestly would have been far less craic doing it alone, and we had some great times looking out for the animals in the 4x4 and drinking beers in the camps and lodges in the evenings. One or two of us had real eagle eyes and managed to spot a lot of wildlife from a great distance. All in all, we'd highly recommend this Safari tour and Meru Slopes. To Nuruu particularly: it was great to meet you and I hope we meet again some day in the future.

If you're seeking an authentic and unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania, look no further than Meru Slope Agency. Our recent 4-day basic shared safari and cultural experiance exceeded all expectations, leaving us with memories to last a lifetime. Florian, for sure we can say is the best guide you can get. He has such nice and plesant personallity and he´s an excelente wildlife expert and with very good animal spotting he enhanced every moment of our safari. He made a big effort that we saw all big 5. :-) The only animal who was hiding from us was the chettah, but no problem we will return for that one. :-) Johan's culinary skills and hospitality added an extra layer of delight to our journey. His delicious meals reflected the flavors of the region, each day he prepared 3 hot meals and all it was TOP. Geofrey the manager arranged airport transfers and ensured a comfortable stay in Arusha, overall all the comunication with him as well the whole organisation was very good. In conclusion, I recommend Meru Slope Agency to anyone looking for a safari experience that combines adventure, authenticity, and exceptional service. Once again THANK YOU FLORIAN and JOHAN for all the fun we had and for all the beautiful memories. And one more tip, if you are heading further to Zanzi, our advise is to stay longer in Arusha and to organise some other trips with Meru Slopes and you spent less days in Zanzi. The second day in Zanzi we already missed Tansania, Meru Slopes and all the nice people we´ve met, so we wanted to return and do other trips with them. This is our only regret in the whole 16 day journey, that we spent 9 days in Zanzi and only 6 in central Tansania. As for to Tansania we will return, to Zanzi not.

We had such an amazing experience on safari with Meru Slopes. We chose the 4 day join safari, we dealt with Kelvin and then Geoffrey, the owner, we had 5 people in a 6 person vehicle which felt like a good amount. The booking process was smooth and friendly, and we were allowed to stay at the Tourist Inn Hotel in the city the day before and the day after the safari. The hotel itself is a little worn and outside it is noisy, but the breakfast was nice and the showers hot, so no complaints. The safari itself was led by our driver and guide, Florian and Gadi was our cook. They made an amazing team. Florian was a great driver and seemed to have a sixth sense where to find the animals as we always managed to be first at the scene with lions, elephants and other animals. He was also very knowledgeable about just about everything related to the animals and the land. Then when it was mealtimes Gadi provided us with excellent food that seemed impossible given the circumstances and provisions that he had to work with. The menu was always varied and very tasty. We are glad that we went on the camping safari because we got to experience the rusticness and the sounds of the animals at night. In the Serengeti we had Hyenas roaming around the campsite making noises as we slept, or didn't sleep. In the Ngorongoro campsite there were Buffalos grazing after dark. Both nights we got to see the blankets of stars decorating the sky. We were treated to a fantastic sunrise at the Ngorongoro crater on the last morning of the tour. Apart from the action packed tours of the 3 national parks we also got to experience a Masai village where we took part in a ritualistic jumping ceremony. We then had a tour of the village and a glimpse at their way of life, and of course the experience ended with a shop, where they sold handmade items, remember to haggle. All in all it was a fantastic experience that will live long in the memory. We would highly recommend this tour company if you are considering a Tanzanian safari. Ben and Daniela

Firstly I have to give 5 stars for our guide (Andrew) and chef (Moshi). I can say with confidence that they made the tour amazing. Moshi was so friendly, fun and most importantly made the best food for us. Andrew was well organised, provided so much info, was always smiling and engaging with the group and most importantly lead us to the animals and had some inhuman ability to spot so many animals while also driving that the rest of us often couldn’t even see with our eyes. We met other guides and spoke to other travellers about their guides and we got the feeling all were not equal so if you get the chance to go with Andrew, take it. The company itself were good and easy to deal with, had decent vehicles and equipment so no complaints at all. With the tour schedule, we did 4 days 3 nights budget option. First day was about 7 hours driving to Serengeti however half of that was in various wildlife areas so you do see animals on the way. The afternoon was in the Serengeti although it is via a common route mainly for the benefit of getting to the camp. The camp was very basic, which we knew going into it, but was a great experience as animals roam the campsite at night as there are no fences. The next day was half day drive in Serengeti before heading off to Ngorongoro campsite which was about 5 hours (still seeing animals during the drive). Overall the Serengeti was okay but it’s so large and already out that we didn’t see that any animals and o would recommend having a full day there instead of what we did as you then go further and should see more. Also wet season should be avoided if possible as ou see so many less animals- grass is too high and animals don’t congregate at watering holes. Day 3 at Ngorongoro was by far the best and the highlight for everyone. The crater itself is a view to behold but more importantly the quantity / density of animals, the fact they cant / don’t generally leave due to the crater walls, the flatness (easier to see animals) and the small size so easy to get around makes it perfect for wildlife spotting. It is relatively small though so 1 full day or a half day is all that is required. We then stayed in a decent lodge on our last night before visiting Tarangire NP for half day on day 4. I would say animal spotting was similar to Serengeti (probably not great for us due to it being wet season) but it’s still nice and has a great landscape which includes the large boboar?? trees. We were super lucky to see the big 5 during this trip with the most elusive, leopard, spotted once on our last day in Tarangire literally in the last 15 minutes as we were driving out.

From start to finish our safari trip was amazing. Our guide and driver Mandela was an expert and opened our eyes to all that was there over the four days we were with him. The organisation of door to door pickups was very efficient and the accommodation and food was excellent particularly the Suricata Boma lodge. I would recommend you use this company it was 5* plus.

Meru Slopes and our guide Mody made sure we had a great time during the safari. We saw all the Big 5, mainly thanks to Mody's excellent knowledge. Even in a complicated medical situation, Mody and the Meru Slopes team were supportive and helped coordinate itinerary changes and made us feel safe. Chef Buga prepared fantastic food (always too much) and his and Mody's kindness and good humor rounded out our unique experience! Thank you so much for everything!!!

We had an incredible time. Saw everything we wanted to see and were well taken care of the whole time. Our guide Mudy (not sure about spelling) was awesome. He worked really hard to get us to the animals. He was also really informative, funny, and a safe driver. Our chef Salim was great too, lots of good food. Highly recommend

I booked this trip over whatts app. Jerome was very nice and communicative. He answered all my questions and spoke to me on the phone. I booked it- paid a 15% deposit and rest when we arrived in Arusha. Jerome took me around for a city tour- he was lovely and took care of me. However when paying by card: they charged a 3% surcharge. So ended up paying an extra 100 dollars or so. So just be aware of that. On arrival to arusha, they were there to pick us up. We met our driver Mudy: he was really nice and took us around and say the big 5. He took good care of us However with this tour I would reccomend: not doing tarangerie national park: just do 2-3 days in sarengetti and one day in nronogoron crater. We had a chef with us called rashid: he was very nice and made us breakfast lunch and dinner. Was lovely. On the tour: We did the lodge first night, paid extra for heritage camp which was luxury and then did a bush camp for one night. This worked out well. We were looked after They offer a sim and WiFi in the car: but we had to ask. So just a bit of advice, ASK! Bad point: before and after the tour we stayed at Arusha traveller inn: this hotel is not the cleanest, no AC and just messy. Next time I’d book another hotel in Arusha and get picked up from there before the tour. Overall: trustworthy company, helpful and attentive.

I recently participated in a 3-night, 4-day safari tour organized by Meru Slopes Tours and it was an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, their team was incredibly responsive to all my inquiries, providing detailed and courteous answers to every question I had. Our guide was remarkable in his efforts to track down wildlife for us to observe. The highlight of the tour was witnessing the migration of zebras and wildebeests. It was a sight beyond words, a breathtaking display of nature that I'll cherish forever. The tour package included airport pick-up, which made the entire trip feel safe and well-organized. The convenience and peace of mind this offered were invaluable. If anyone asks for a safari recommendation, I would enthusiastically suggest Meru Slopes Tours. Their commitment to service, combined with the awe-inspiring wildlife encounters, makes for a truly exceptional adventure.

Top experience with Meru Slopes. It was all fantastic, Great chases and stories by Jacob. the job wasnt done until we would have spotted all the animals in serengeti and Ngorongoro. Always safe and everything well planned. Everyone very friendly and available to satisfy our needs. Top review also for the meals of Chef Dula. Overall very recommended experience . I do not give the full stars because of the condition of just one of the campsite in centeal serengeti. We really did like the vibes, the atmosphere of the campsite, it was fantastic the sound of the wildlife at night despite the fact that it was lacking a little bit in terms of Hygiene unfortunately it has been a little too much extreme because of the presence of a large amount of insect in the dining room (it was very hard to have a comfortable dinner) and in the washroom ( at the morning it was totally infested by bugs). Maybe for next time it’s better to change this public campsite in central serengeti because others were ok. So just this little point to improve but overall it was a stunning experience. Alessandro and Francesca.

Before arriving in Tanzania, I was in contact with Almachius - super friendly and accommodating ! A great professional ! At my arrival, I have joined a group of 4 other people - 1 family and a solo traveler ! It was the best safari trip I have ever done ! We got so much to see and even at the door of our jeep ! Our driver from another agency was just great and super knowledgeable ! It was a budget safari so we were sleeping in tents which got us to experience wildlife and be close to animals - fantastic ! On top of the Safari quality, the staff outside the safari are super friendly and helpful. I could only recommend this safari and Meru Slopes !
