The Great Wall was fantastic. A must see in one’s lifetime. I had a short layover in Beijing and my guide was super efficient and knowledgeable to ensure I saw the wall and spent plenty of time walking the wall.

We were shown around by Shane who was an excellent guide. He picked us up at the airport and really tried to give us the best experience possible with the limited time we had.

We were on a quite tight schedule, having arrived at 5am and having to clear migration/24hr transit free visa desk. But our tour guide, Shane, was very conscious of it and even managed to appease my daughters' desire for noodles by taking us to a great restaurant in one of the villages along the way. We still managed to see a good part of the wall and get its history despite the limitation. Feedback: the ppl at the helpdesk for purchasing this ticket weren't really able to help us with questions concerning the 24-hr visa-free transit and whether or not we could get it without a hotel reserved (and just by showing the reservation for this tour). In the end I ended up booking a hotel as well, just in case. I'm not sure if the migration officer really paid it much attention.

The absolute best tour I have been on!! Had the pleasure of meeting Shane my guide and forming a true friendship. I will most definitely be coming back. And will recommend Shane to all my friends and anyone that is traveling to Beijing

This was the best way to spend our 15 hour layover in Beijing! Tony texted very clear, step-by-step instructions for how to get through the Beijing airport and what documents we needed to get our 24 hour visa. Everything was very quick and easy since we were doing all of this in the middle of the night when there were no crowds (our flight arrived at 1am). Then, Tony picked us up promptly at 6:30am at a coffee shop in the airport. We came from Thailand and were not prepared for the cold weather, but Tony brought nice, warm coats for us. Thank God!!! It was so freezing, I don’t think we would’ve made it through the day without those coats. We were exhausted from being up all night traveling, so Tony invited us to recline our seats and shut our eyes during the hour long drive to the Great Wall. When we arrived, Tony knew all the best places for photo-ops and took lots of beautiful pictures that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Then, as a bonus after the Great Wall, he took us to an authentic Chinese tea ceremony. This was such an unexpected and memorable experience. We ended up buying lots of tea and unique souvenirs here. Lastly, after a beautiful drive through the countryside, Tony took us to an authentic Chinese restaurant for lunch and helped us navigate the menu. The food was unbelievable! We arrived back at the airport promptly to catch our flight home. If you have a long layover in Beijing, I couldn’t recommend this excursion enough. Book it and ask for Tony!!

We had a layover of about 12 hours in Beijing and went on this tour to the Great Wall. It was super well organised, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. It was beautiful at the Great Wall! We climbed, walked and took the slide down. Grownup kids loved it and we had time to take part in a tea ceremony, eat local food, see the Olympic stadium and a hutong too. Company is very accomodating and flexible. We made it back to the airport in good time.

My family and I had a 12 hour layover and we took advantage of this offer. As soon as we landed the steps and instructions given were precise and we moved smoothly to meet Tony exactly where he had told us he'd be. He whisked us away in a nice, clean and spacious SUV for our 1.5 hour drive to The Great Wall. We felt warm and safe and excited. We had flown from our long visit in Southeast Asia and were not prepared for the cold weather in Beijing. Tony had warm coats for all of us and we stopped to pick up gloves and hats as we were starting the tour. Everything went according to plan and then we were on the lifts to get us to the wall. Tony was very accommodating with all our questions and requests. He helped us get the best photos at the best spots for memories of a lifetime. We finished the climb with the fun toboggan ride down ...which was an extra bonus for my teenage son. :) He also took us to a tea ceremony where we got to taste some incredible teas. Once finished with our tour and back in the car, Tony took us to a local restaurant for noodles for lunch and to warm up before heading back to the airport. Once at the airport, before our good-byes, he escorted us in to make sure we were at the right place to continue our flight.... with plenty of time. The most memorable experience!!!! We flew in from Thailand at 0400 and had a 13 hour layover. Our guide David arrived promptly at 0630 and the specified location after we applied for a 24 visa at the airport (easy even at an early hour). We left the airport for the 1.5 drive to the wall. Being early, we were one of the only ones at the wall when it opened around 0830. We spent a couple of hours exploring with David. David was incredible. He was knowledgeable and welcoming. We even requested to stop for a quick lunch on the way back and had a delicious lunch which beer anything from the airport. I can’t say enough about how easy this quick and easy this excursion was for our group. There was great communication and everything was efficient. Thank you for the memories!

I would highly recommend this trip. Due to huge crowd on airport (Christmas season ) it took me 3 hours to come out and I was delayed by 1.5 hours for this tour, however Jim was ki d enough to wait for me. Tony was always in touch with me to track where I was. Jim managed to get me quickly to the main spots on wall including the snow activities planned and dropped me back to airport just in time. Thanks guys!

My tour guide Jim was great! I was alone on his tour and I was very comfortable. He has a nice car and a friendly personality. He answered all of my numerous questions about the great wall and china as a whole. He was very personable and we got to talking about our own lives on the long car ride to and from the wall. I would recommend this tour to anybody who happens to find themselves with enough time to spare while in Beijing on a layover. Just read the pick-up location information carefully and be patient when trying to find your guide. I was not careful and got in the wrong taxi the first time around (my phone wasn't working, he tried to contact me) but Jim waited for me and everything worked out in the end.

If you have a long enough layover in Beijing, this tour is a MUST! We were provided step by step instructions on how to obtain a 24/144 hour visa free permit at the airport, and it was surprisingly VERY easy! Our flight was slightly delayed, but upon arrival and going through immigration at the airport, our personal tour guide, Michael, was waiting for us! Michael was AMAZING! He had warm coats and waters waiting for us in his car. During the drive he told us all about the country, history, and The Great Wall. He took care of everything once we got to the wall and we rode the cable car to the top. While on the wall, he took advantage of every photo op and captured the BEST pictures of us. We had a smooth ride back to the airport in time to get a meal and relax before our next flight! We made memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you!

With a 10 hour layover, we decided to leave the airport. Best decision ever! Tony picked us up promptly, drove us to the great wall, and helped us as we explored. His hospitality towards us was above and beyond. We weren’t sure what to expect with this being our first layover tour. Highly recommend. I know we will be doing it again in the future.

Taking advantage of this short adventure was totally worth it. Tony was our tour guide on this trip and he was awesome. Very knowledgeable about the Great Wall and about the country itself. The instructions were easy to follow and we arrived back at the airport for our next flight in plenty enough time.

Air China changed our flight to Thailand last minute and we ended up having a layover of 9 hours in Beijing. At first, we were very unhappy about this, but then we found this tour on TripAdvisor. We booked it because of the good reviews, and it was indeed an unforgettable experience! We booked the tour for 6.30 am. We landed at 5 am, had to queue for the visa and for the passport control, which took 1.5 hours. We got out just in time, Tony was waiting for us. Got to the Wall at 7.30 am, around 7.50 we were up (you have to take a bus and then a chairlift). Left around 10 am back to the airport, got there shortly after 11 am (our flight was at 1.40 pm). Tony was really great! Told us a lot of stories about China and even gave us tips for Thailand! Also took a lot of pictures of us. Highly recommended!

If you have a layover in Beijing definitely give this a try. Easy instructions, comfortable vehicle, knowledgeable tour guide and amazing views/history. Jim was an assume guide and took lots of pics for us. Id recommend this for anyone wanting to see the Great Wall while on a layover

Our tour guide was Jessica and she was great! She waited for us at the airport and gave us details over the history of the wall and all the dynasties. She was fun and even provided jackets (it was freezing) and waters for us.

Had a 9hr layover in Beijing on our way back to Canada. Getting the 24 hr stopover visa took longer than expected (~1h30), but was contacted by the guide company on whatsapp (which worked while roaming). They said that we could do a different tour if we didn't make it in time for the great wall tour, but it turned out we'd be able to make it. And we did, it was a great experience, did the toboggan down too which was lots of fun. Would highly recommend!

Private modern comfortable car with English speaking very knowledgeable driver. Asked at time of booking if we could get picked up from a Airport hotel rather than the Airport, which was no problem at all. Driver was in the lobby with our name on a sign sharp on time. Took about an hour (off-peak) to get to the wall. Parked then driver accompanied us on the shuttle. Need to pay extra for cable cart or chair lift. We paid 120RMB each to go up on chair lift and down in toboggan- that was fun! Driver met us up there and then we could walk on our own 2-3 hours ; but obviously you can’t get lost on the wall. Many steps!! So worth the extra cost for safe, comfortable and informative tour. Thank you!
