Unbelievable way to get to know this adorable and historical city! Mira was the perfect guide - she was informative, kind and very patient and wanting us to have the best experience. We had some incredible conversations with her throughout our tour. The bike tour of old town was so charming and the three food stops added such a local flavor to the tour. And the final biking section along the sea was stunning but also physically challenging at times. But Mira was patient and encouraging as well. This is THE only way to get to know this incredible city and the people and culture.

My partner and I both agreed that this tour was our favorite part of our trip to Greece! The tour is thoughtfully planned for an immersive and comprehensive experience of Greek people, food, history, and beautiful sites. Our favorite part was stopping for a cheese tasting and cycling along the gorgeous coastal paths of Nafplio. Stavroula and Mira were wonderful and knowledgeable company. Stavroula took pictures throughout the tour so my partner and I could focus on staying present. At the end, Stavroula gave me recommendations for restaurants and shopping. I’ve taken bike tours on many trips and this was the best one I’ve ever done.

Thank you so much for making the last few days of our trip so special … the tours with Carol and Theodore were fantastic, the dinner and dancing with Stavroula and the group was amazing, we loved our half day with Dimitri and his family, and finally our hike with Kariokos today was very rewarding. Panos was, of course, a highlight! Thank you for all of the great memories!!

This was a fantastic experience! Carola was so knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history of Nafplio. Riding along the shore was gorgeous and Carola adjusted the pace for us. My husband could ride ahead and if I was tired, she walked her bike alongside me. This is a great way to see the city!

We loved every single minute of every event and excursion. We felt well cared for and safe at all times and were taught the beauty of this country from all angles. Highly, highly recommend! Do not visit Greece without Grecopaths!

We spent a full day with Stavoula and it was a delight! Everything was arranged well and we were picked up at Amanzoe for a full day of enjoyment. Sightseeing, a wonderful local bakery, and then visiting a terrific farm and winery where we tasted olive oil, visited the vines, and then had an amazing vegetarian lunch. I couldn’t recommend any higher.

Stavroula (Grecopaths cofounder) met us right on time for an all-day itinerary that would leave us feeling a part of Greece before the day ended. We first walked the village (Nafplio) for a while. Stavroula grew up in Nafplio so she really knew her stuff. We started early before the crowds gathered and we stopped for some real Greek coffee at a restaurant on the wharf. We learned how to brew the coffee right at our table and it was delicious. We also ate some local pastries. Afterwards we walked more of the village while Stavroula explained everything. Next, we drove to a small fishing village and had a traditional Greek fish tasting (too much food but oh so delicious). The meal included unlimited wine and Ouzo (something like moonshine back home). With our bellies full and feeling good it was time for our next excursion up in the hills with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside at a private winery and olive farm. But before we arrived to our destination, we stopped at a ruins which was an amphitheater carved out of a rock hillside. Stavroula explained that it was built over 2000 years ago and was still functional. She stood in the center of the stage (ground) and recited some ancient Greek passage while we sat in the carved rock benches. We could hear her perfectly; the acoustics were amazing. She encouraged us to do the same and I was blown away at the sound reverberation. We continued on to the private winery where we had a home cooked meal and more unlimited wine and you guessed it.....Ouzo. The owner family joined us for the meal, and everyone had a wonderful time. After the meal (too much food again) we were guided through the vineyards and olive groves by the owner. It happened to be harvest time for the olives and I was able to help for a short while. It was near the end of our tour and we said good-bye to Stavroula with hugs and kisses at the Nafplio wharf. Now we have a new friend in Greece. I will be returning next year. What a wonderful day.

Had excellent day of walking tour history of Nafplio (as well as overall Greek history) today with Grecopaths. Food tastings were excellent (and way more food than we could eat!). Took some home for later because it was so good (and was very nice of them to bundle up). Coffee and wine were also very delicious. Good conversation with our 2 hosts who took not only the 4 hour tour, but we also hung around for an extra 2 hours (so a long but very enjoyable day, with food, drink, dessert, and good conversations to see the beautiful city of Nafplio). Would recommend to anyone coming here an excellent way to experience the area.

A very big thank you to Stavroula for organizing such a special day for us! We arrived in Nafplio for 2 nights and one of our interests was to visit some wineries in the Nemea area. However, we hadn't made any bookings before we arrived. As it was high season, many wineries were already booked for wine tastings. Thanks to Stavroula, who was able to organize a last-minute full-day private tour for the two of us! We started our wonderful day by driving to the Nemea area and visiting and touring a well-known winery. We then spent the afternoon at a family-owned winery. Not only did we have a personal tour of the vineyards by the owner, we were delighted to enjoy fresh grapes right from the vines and fresh fruit from their garden. Our day only got better as we were treated to a robust home-cooked lunch prepared by the lovely family. Everything was absolutely delicious: with fresh vegetables and herbs freshly picked from their garden to the home-made cheese, their own olive oil, and of course, their amazing wine and tsipouro! Sitting around the table, sharing the tasty food and exchanging stories of our experiences and lives was something we will never forget, and it was a highlight of our two-week trip in Greece. Stavroula is very knowledgeable and very passionate about her work and it really made our experience memorable. Thanks again for everything...until next time!

Wonderful day in Greece today! Carola was our tour guide and tailored our tour specifically for us! Walked to all historic sites and had delicious food tastings along the way. More unbelievable than the tour was when I texted the owner how great it was and told her that the gifts we had bought for our granddaughters had broken, they replaced them by bringing them to our ship!! Talk about going above and beyond!!!! Thank you Grecopaths for everything!!!

My bike tour with Stavroula from Grecopaths was the absolute highlight of my vacation last week! Stavroula is a wonderful guide, familiar with all the nooks and crannies of Nafplio, her beautiful hometown. When I first met her early in the morning, I immediately fell in love with her warmth and tremendous energy. She and her business partner Panos (a skilled chef who runs the culinary side of Grecopaths) had been thoughtful enough to bring 2 bikes so I could choose the one I felt most comfortable with. Stavroula also brought plenty of water, fruit and even a delicious homemade cake. What more could anyone ask for? We cycled around the village, up and down picturesque hills, passed an impressive well-kept monastery, and rode all the way down to the beach in the neighboring town of Tolo - while the deep blue sea and surrounding mountains in the distance supplied never-ending gorgeous views. Stavroula very quickly picked up on a pace which was super-comfortable for me, and while we sped down the hills, we rather took our time climbing them :) – which was great. I loved all the folktales and historic background which my knowledgeable guide imparted when we took breaks to admire the views and take photos. The next day, my wonderful guide sent me fabulous photos and even a video. I will never forget the amazing experience of my bike tour with the fabulous Stavroula in beautiful Nafplio.

Stravoula and her team weaved a marvelous two days for our Greek Odyssey Spring Break trip in the Nafplio area. Ever flexible, Stravoula took us on a hike through the olive groves ending up at a private olive oil tasting with the owner of the property. We danced the night away with traditional Greek dancers and even my teenage godsons danced in four of the participating dances, quite an accomplishment! We were treated to a very heart warming lunch in the countryside by a wonderful family whom we all think of as our Greek “Yaya” now. Grecopaths is the one to go with to perfectly tweet your experience in the Nafplio region.

My wife and I had the most amazing day with our guide, Carola. She is extremely knowledgeable about all the historical landmarks in the old and new city as well as warm and personable. She speaks perfect English. One of the most wonderful highlights of the day was having authentic Greek coffee and cookies in a elderly grandmother’s home in the old city. We felt like we were in our bubba’s dining room. We then walked to a Greek family bakery for yummy tastings and then on to a Greek pasta making factory and store. We visited with the owner and his team. For lunch we walked through the kitchen of a Greek restaurant with the owner who showed us the food he was preparing. The restaurant was filled with locals and very delicious. We topped off the day with homemade Greek ice cream. This is a phenomenal tour that should not be missed! We highly recommend Stavroula and her wonderful team at Grecopaths. I booked a day of wine tasting for my boyfriend's birthday and she was absolutely amazing! She met us at our hotel in Nafplio and made sure we were properly caffeinated before taking us to see the wonderful ruins, markets and sights of Argos. Then we fortified our bellies with delicious local breakfast items from a wonderful local bakery before arriving at a beautiful winery. We had a tour followed by a nice tasting. Then Panos her esteemed colleague and chef had set up the most wonderful seafood lunch at a small beautiful restaurant on the water. It turned out to be the best meal we had in our 3 weeks in Greece! It was DELICIOUS!!!! Then we had a nice coffee stop before returning to Nafplio for one more stop...We visited a sweet local grandmother who taught us how to make greek coffee. Stavroula and Panos even arranged a delicious chocolate and cherry cake for my boyfriend's birthday. We had such a wonderful time! At the end of our visit we felt like Stavroula was our dear friend who just happened to know everything there was to know about Greek culture, food and history. Her walking tour of Nafplio is wonderful as well! This is not your typical tour company, this company is very special and offers real experiences. Thank you for everything Stavroula & Panos! -Jeff & Nicole

Tasting great food, immersing yourself in a different culture and learning about the origins of a diet that is now considered one of the healthiest in the world! This learning by experience study abroad short course in Greece for 12 University of Maryland students was organized in conjunction with GrecoPaths and Grecofoods. The lead organizers onsite, Stavroula and Panos were enthusiastic and professional and went all out to ensure that the students spent 2 active but fun weeks in the Peloponnese and Athens engaged in what many described as an ‘unforgettable learning experience.’ Some of the activities included trips to small farms, amazing meals, and wonderful hikes.

Stavroula was absolutely essential to our experience in Greece! We got to visit small agro-businesses that a tourist would never have access to. She knows all the best local spots for views, scenery, and history. And paired with Panos and Grecofood, it was a perfect way to get an authentic taste of Greece as well. Between beautiful picnics, olive grove and winery visits, and quality restaurant choices, we really experienced the cuisine that the Peloponnese has to offer.

We spent two days with the wonderful folks at Grecopaths in April 2018. Stavroula prepared some custom tours for us based on our interests. I can't recommend this company enough. From our base in Nafplio, we did a hiking tour with Hercules (starting from Mycenae), and it was so much fun to be on ancient trails, and learning about the local environment. We tasted wild herbs, wild asparagus, and ended our hike at a lovely little church where Panos had prepared a lovely "snack" (you have to see it to believe it!). We went to see a few more sites and ended with lunch at a great restaurant. We spend another day with Panos and Stavroula touring Epidaurus - again, we learned so much from them and thoroughly enjoyed our day, which included touring ancient sites, an olive farm (again, an unbelievable "snack"), and a local natural history museum. We ended that day with a trip to a local farm that prepared an unbelievable meal for us and took us on a tour of their farm. I would absolutely (and highly) recommend any tour or activity that Grecopaths has to offer.

We were traveling to Greece over my husband’s birthday, and I wanted to make sure that his birthday in Greece was special. We are wine aficionados, so I thought an afternoon of wine tasting would be nice. I emailed GrecoPaths to ask about personalizing a tour, as I didn’t specifically see what I had in mind on their list of tours. Stavroula replied promptly with a few suggestions and asked for a budget. She emailed me back with an amazing sounding itinerary that included a walking tour of Napflio, stops at 2 wineries and lunch. On the day of our tour, we were met by Stavroula, who showed us some fantastic views of the city, with commentary. We had great coffee and breakfast as a surprise, brought to our location by her partner Panos. We then went to a home built in 1008 and learned how to make Greek coffee from a lovely Greek “grandmother.” She didn’t speak English but we had a great time with her. From there we went to a regular winery and enjoyed a personal tour and tasting. We were then taken to the farm of Dimitris and his wife Anastasia, organic producers of wine and olive oil. We had an incredible and delicious lunch, prepared by Panos. We were then taken to a small cabin in the hills where my hubby was presented with a delicious birthday cake. We were surrounded by our new Greek friends, who sang him happy birthday in Greek. We ate cake, drank homemade tsipouro, and lounged on the mountain. We ended our day with a quick tour of the city of Argos. It was a very special day. It was easily the very best tour I’ve ever done, and we have traveled extensively. Stavroula and her crew truly went above and beyond for us. His birthday in Greece will be one we never forget. If you are considering traveling to the Napflio and/or Argolis region (and you should because it’s awesome) GrecoPaths should be your go-to for any type of tour!! If they don’t have what you’re looking for listed on their website, email them, like I did. Prompt replies. Excellent service. Excellent tours!
